Graduated in 1992. Everyone I knew that got a degree in AAS struggled to find a job. They eventually found their way. Some got jobs in fields that didn't require a degree. Some became school teachers at best. Part of the AAS curriculum should be studying how African Americans are over represented in low paying majors and underrepresented in high paying majors. My experience is from 87 - 92 where tuition, room and board was $5,500. With the cost of tuition nowadays, to spend it on a low paying major like AAS... Nah, Bruh. Major in STEM or Accounting and Finance. You can do your own research on AAS. These kind of majors will not close the wealth gap.
