At his age of 36,an injury can be career ending for him since body doesn't heal very fast at that age as compared to 20s..just look what has happened to Ramos..one injury has been bothering him for 2 years...He is even yet to start for PSG

tactics is one thing. player management is another. Pep Guardiloa swears by Marcelo Bielsa, the Leeds United manager as the best football mind he has ever encountered. Beilsa is a great tactician. Pep is overall better. Rangrick is known for his tactics. Player management not necessarily. What makes klopp different is not his tactics but the way he manages the squad. Everyone buys in the system. If Rangrick was that good, he would have landed a top job already. He has been coaching for 38 years.

@@JW-be8wf He seems prefers the director of football style role. From reports he seems like the sort of guy who likes to control everything and he can do it much better from up there than as manager. His tactics from when he was a manager are used in some form by pretty much every elite German coach atm so hes clearly an excellent football mind. I have to assume thats why he only wanted the interim job. Its also much harder to get a job as a DoF at a big club than as a manager as the turnover is usually a lot less with the DoF having so much control over big decisions, you're hardly going to fire yourself after all. It requires an owner to step in and fire them but usually the manager/coach will go first and the DoF gets another chance at hiring a new staff. His coaching and DoF record seem to show hes very good at building teams from the ground up but in Germany he wasnt going to win it all with Bayern (and Dortmund sort of) there. Bundersliga and Ligue 1 are 1 team leagues unless Bayern and PSG have a literal meltdown.

Nope. I think Rangnick will play Maguire. He in a conference said two things: 1. Central Defenders don't need to be fast but rather they should be very close to the attacking striker when the team is pressing high that way they can use their body strength against striker to hold them off and nick the ball. I thnk Harry can perform that role pretty well and that is not a stark change in his playing style. 2. When we talk about gegenpressing, in his conference he also said that it doesn't always have to be in the final third. You can start pressing in midblock as well. Although, pressing in final third is also always an advantage since you are closer to goal and lesser players to bypass.

I think if they try to change the way Man U play with the current group of players to pressing and fighting for ball then most of them won't last the season. They have to make big changes to midfield and in defense. 4 signings 2 for defense 2 for midfield in January should happen. And Marshal, Mata, Pogba, couple of others could be loaned or removed from contracts. Then u have pace of Greenwood, rashford with cr7 through middle can play 4 3 3. Bruno and 2 other young midfield with 2 great wingers at back center Verane and Maguire.looks solid and can switch between cr7 n cavani.
