I'm American, so football isn't a natural sport for me to love. In fact I didn't bother watching a single match until my mid 20's. I chose to support United for the history and the mystique, as well as pissing off a few friends who support Liverpool. What's blown me away is how powerful the journey is. This video perfectly encapsulated how much I've fallen in love with this game, and this team. I watched the United/Liverpool game this past weekend with my 13 year old cousin who supports Liverpool. Screaming, jumping, exasperation, elation are feelings we both had the entire match, and certainly a memory I'll remember for a lifetime. Up the Reds!

The 1999 last min winner to win the treble has to be one of the greatest last min goals not just for United but in football. I still remember running out the pub where I was watching the game and scaring the life out of some random people walking past the pub by screaming my head off in the street!

That comment from Carragher at 3:52 brings joy to my heart, because it tells us how pissed he _really_ is about the result. There's nothing like a weak, snarky, comment from a rival fan to remind you how much it means to them, and that makes it mean more to you. It has the opposite effect to what was intended.. 🤣

I started going to Man Utd matches in 1990, but my first moment of seeing something like this was not until 1993, Stevie Bruce's double against Sheffield Wednesday.. since then, we've had a few moments like this.. but the next one that's always imprinted in my head was that come back in Barcelona against Bayern..

Fantastic video Sam. Spot on. A while back a friend of mine (non united, not really a football fan) wanted me to go to the cinema with him when a United game was on tv. I politely declined. He said "why do you bother watching them, they'll probably lose", and they did lose, but that's not the point. He simply didn't get it. I got emotional last weekend. Such a huge game, 2-1 down, 3-2 down, so to score in the last moment was just pure joy, relief, excitement, everything. Amad and the rest of the lads put a smile on my face and a tear down my cheek. And that's football. That's being United. You can't touch this.

Dukla Prague v Man Utd Cup Winners Cup 1983. 1985 FA Cup Semi Final Replay at Maine Road beating Liverpool.

In 99 I was 10 years old, and in hospital. I was all alone at night, and I remember wakeing up to someone yelling. I was all alone in my room, and for some reason someone had turned on the tv in my room. The nurses must have thought I liked football, cause on the television there was the champions league final. I had woken up at people cheering at united scoring 1-1. The emotions I felt when Solskjær scored 2-1 winner, thats when I became a football fan, and a life long united supporter. That feeling you are talking about Sam, its infectious. It's everything I love about football!

Been supporting the club from afar for good 15 years & waking up in the middle of the night or stay up till almost dawn to catch the UCL & UEL games; with times knowing that the team would get battered by oppositions that are tactically superior. But I will still repeat the same thing the following week again because I know that when the team wins the game against all odds (ie. PSG Away) or scoring a last minute winner against a bitter rival like the recent FA Cup Quarter Finals win against Liverpool, it would absolutely make my week and the warm and joyous feeling I get like many fans do is something not many things or occasions that happens in our life can replace it or be replicated.

Yes, I experienced it too. Aside Man Utd, I supported my local club and we reached the final of the oldest cup tourney we had, and it's the 100th edition. Rare feat. We are against the favourite, who steamed roll every team onwards to final. And we walked out as champion, 2-0. Idk who's next to me but we hugged cheered and cried. It's the moment. We live for that moment.😊

I turned round to face the crowd and this Irish girl that was sitting directly behind us grabbed me, gave me the biggest hug and stuck her tongue right down my throat.....a snog that seemed to go on forever. Watched this match on St Patrick's Day Sunday in a packed bar in Belfast. Ended up hugging some complete randomer in a shamrock suit when Amad scored. This is what football does! In terms of happiest ever memory I experienced live has to be Jon Walters scoring two goals for Ireland v Bosnia to send us to France. The Aviva was absolutely bouncing! Another great moment was Robbie Brady against Italy in that tournament!

I’ve not felt excitement or joy 🤩 n a football game since England scored the first goal in the European final. As a fan, I’ve accepted that just about everyone not a fan hates us. And they’ve really made the most of our poor form. Hopefully, with Sir Jim, ETH at the helm and some great academy players coming through - we can start to build a project similar to the Liverpool and city dynasties.
