I think the reason there are a lot of single Christian girls is simply because there is a shortage of Christian men in churches. In my church there are over 20 single girls and only 2 single guys. But, ultimately, I believe singleness is a gift from God, not some sort of punishment for being "a princess" or for being selfish. God has blessed me this time to be fully devoted to Him. He is sovereign over whether I will get married or not.

That's the same in my church too and pretty much similar ratio men/women apply in pretty much all Christian seminars, prayer meetings, mission trips, volounterring activities I have been involved with. And besides those things (aka in real life) I am not meeting any Christian man.

Thing is, when it comes to situations like yours with a 20/2 ratio, those 2 guys are still somehow overlooked when they could be the best thing ever. But instead thoughts like "well he doesn't have ____ qualities or he must be single for a reason" come up and he's never given a chance. Then you have guys who are deeply into God and growing in him and desire a spouse, but the Christian girls are either taken or have some creative reason to not be with you like "I think God is calling me to singleness right now", but then that same girl wants a man, and then that guy might end up attending another church to still grow but hopefully find more welcoming people, maybe someone who'll give him a chance.

Usually one of two guys is around 45 and still lives with/near his widowed/divorce mom - and they are very close. He wants a back- up Momma. The other guy has couple kids, been married a couple times, and been clean & sober for 10 months and Christianity is his latest addiction, and he only has eyes for the ladies that are like him. So the it is actually worse for an college educated, professional woman to find a good guy with Christian values in church. And if you are divorced you are "damaged goods".

TCV I will have to disagree with number one. It is not that we desire to marry Jesus. It is that we are looking for the qualities or characteristics of Jesus in a man. Is he loving? Is he kind? Is he a leader? Is he fair? Does he keep his word? Does he pray? Those are a few examples... Yes. We are human and as such we will have struggles - both the man and woman. However if a man shows no fruit of being a disciple of Christ, much less having a relationship with Christ, this is why most Christian women remain single. The word says, "You will know them by their fruit." And quite frankly, if the fruit isn't evident it makes no sense - as much as he pursues you - to submit. I agree with numbers two and three. Thanks for sharing.

hey! Thanks for engaging with the thoughts!!! Mad respect! I think you and I are trying to say the same thing on point #1. Yes, look for men with qualities like Jesus. I was simply sharing that in my experience, some women may make the mistake of expecting the impossible. It doesn't sound like this is you at all, though. I agree that women really shouldn't end up in a relationship who show no fruit 100%!!!

Danielle Walcott I believe girls only pretend to value Christian values and qualities bit in end the thing which matter for a girl are money , looks and other outward things , I dont believe any Christian girl really value heart , character , prayer , serving God . girls only talk about these things but in reality these are least important things for them

As a 34 single woman, I have to say that I strongly disagree with these view points. I think the reasons why many Christian women are remaining single is because it's very difficult to meet Christian men. We depend on church on being the place to meet someone, and although church should technically be a good place for Christian men to meet Christian women, it actually is not. There seems to be a definite lack of men of marriageable age in churches. I live in the UK, and church numbers are in decline. There are hardly any men in my age bracket. The ones who are there are usually married with kids. I suppose you could try different churches, but even if you did, church doesn't seem to be a good place to meet people, because people tend to sit in the same places, and talk/hang out with the same people, and they don't intermix or interact with others outside their 'group' unless it's at a church function or Bible study or something. 2) You talk about us women being chased but not wanting to be caught. In my experience, women are being told to wait, but men are reluctant to pursue us. This is something that Christian dating culture has unfortunately contributed to. Pastors, authors of best-selling books etc, have done their utmost to make dating look like a bad word. They have over-spiritualized the whole dating/romance/boy-girl thing, so people analyse every little detail. The result? Men who are afraid of pursuing women. The church has emphasised the waiting, but they have given little encouragement or advice to men so they feel emboldened to pursue a woman they like, or even approach her in some cases. 3) Misguided advice on relationships in which girls are told that they can't even date someone until they are sure he's 'The One'. I've seen this a lot. This may be true for guys too. 4) Male/female friendships that go awry. We're taught to be 'brothers and sisters in Christ', right? But this can be problematic. A guy can be considerate, kind and attentive and do nice things, even take his single 'sisters' out to places, without actually having any romantic interest in her whatsoever. Women can be in stuck in this situation where they're hoping that the guy friend they really like is interested in her for months or even years before they realise what it actually is, and they can waste a lot of time by doing so. I've been in that situation myself. I hope that I don't sound harsh, and yes, I know that we women are not perfect either. But the views in this vid are basically claiming that women are responsible for the reasons why they are still single, and I disagree. I doubt very much that any of the views expressed in this video are true for the majority of single Christian women out there.

Finding a genuine Christian guy is hard..specially when it's mostly females who are church goers and strong believers. The little guys I've encountered at churches are way over their heads thinking they're too good for any chick. lol We just want a genuine person who is on our same page of Jesus pursuit and kingdom duties, but also fully in love with us (as in loyal). I'm not sure I agree with those reasons for the bulk of women. I mean statistically speaking a LOT of Christian women (and men) aren't getting married or are waiting a long time to get married. So yes, there are those that think they'll be treated like a princess, or are too picky, But I think to say that the majority of single women fall into those groups is stretching.it. I've moved around a lot and probably one of the biggest reasons the girls I've met are single is availability and not making marriage a priority. Once you've graduated college and moved on from that point in life it's hard to meet Christian guys who go to church and pursue a meaningful relationship with Christ, and while that goes both ways and it's probably difficult for guys too, I believe studies are showing that more women go to church than men. Then on top of that marriage is no longer a requirement. It's still a desire for most people, but most people aren't willing to move or make huge significant changes to their lives to find a mate.

Oggy Stine You live in an interesting world. I've never met a girl who is truly pursuing God and strings men along or settles for the rich guy. Perhaps you're looking in the wrong places, or maybe YOU need to make changes. I'm not saying that as a jab. I know I personally attract broken people and am attracted to broken people. That's something I need to work on. Perhaps you're sending out the wrong vibes or letting the wrong people into your life. Either way I hope you come to have some more positive experiences with the female gender because you sound awfully bitter and I would think that in and of itself would scare away many potential partners if you're looking.

I think this video has some great points, but why does he put all the ownness on women? As a 19 year old Christian woman who has been single forever, I've never even been asked out by a Christian guy! truthfully every youth group, campus Christian group, or church group I have attended seems to be 80% female! I definitely think it's a ratio problem, I think so many men just aren't participating in the church as much as women are, I think we teach women more "Christianly" qualities of empathy, honesty, and chastity which is why they end up staying and men end up leaving. I know if a Christian guy ever pursued me I'd want to make him feel like the greatest man in the world! I'd affirm him, encourage him, brag about how great he is, show him random acts of appreciation, appeal to whatever love language is his, and admit when I've wronged him and apologize. But there are so many days I doubt I'll ever get this opportunity because I come across so few Christian men, and the one's that are are so legalistic and possess such rigid and harsh judgments on all kinds of people (i.e. women, non Christians, Muslims, LGBTQ people etc.) If somebody knows where I can find smart, humble, non-legalistic, and kind Christian men I'm open to suggestions

He puts the "ownness" on women because that was the topic of the video, maybe next month he will do one for guys. Please, don't feel singled out. Personally I was never aware of such a ratio of single men and women in the church, not that I really care much. I have been married three times to the wrong women and am no longer interested but I stopped going to church altogether because most all them focus on family issues and I am single and intend to stay that way.
@samsmusichub

He never put the ownness of women soley. He never said, "This is THE reason ALL women..." etc. No single video can give you all the info about anything. Some causality can be attributed to us guys, but I think he's just focusing on the women in this video to keep it topical.

These are great reasons! I have to be honest though, this only scratches the surface. I've been a Christian 20 years in the same church, I'm now 27, single and surrounded by people at all stages of life. My closest friends are single females and there are so many amazing single women in my church. The main issue for women my age specifically is a lack of faith-filled men in our church (there's literally a gap between 25-35, and those in that age range are married), but since our foundation is in Christ we don't feel the need to go out and church hop to find a man and when you're a Christian there's a fine line between "waiting on God" and "putting yourself out there" since it can't be one or the other and we're not the types to go to clubs and bars to meet guys. I also think maybe guys assume that because we are in our late twenties and single that we must be too independent and career-driven to be thinking about letting someone else gatecrash our lives, even though we spend a lot of our time thinking and talking about it with our friends. Any girl that tells you we don't is straight up lying :-) I think another reason is that along with our foundation being built on Christ, so is our identity, and when you're identity is sure and secure, you no longer require validation from people (besides if your love language is words of affirmation, but that's another matter), specifically single girls aren't waiting for a man to pursue them, although it would be nice, because we have God validating us. These things can also be our biggest downfalls if we're not careful, like actually being too independent to let someone in. It is hard when we're told to guard our hearts AND be vulnerable. A lot of us know how to do both, but I've seen many become so confused with doctrine that they end up giving up altogether and leaving church, and that goes for both sides not just women. And now I've said too much. Haha :-D

#3 is THE difference between my first brief engagement, and my recent marriage. My ex enjoyed the pursuit, and even though my intentions were clear from the beginning, when I actually proposed she freaked out and everything I thought we had fell apart. I felt betrayed, deceived, and very used. My wife, on the other hand was ready to be caught. The pursuit was simply a matter of getting to know each other, not a matter of playing stupid games trying to convince her that I have value as a human being or to justify my own existence. She saw my value and appreciated my pursuit from day one. I wish I'd been wiser, and had the courage to acknowledge my mistake and proactively dump my ex, but I didn't. Hope my brief story helps someone.

HI, I think that´s such a great story and it tells me that many singles men and women are still in that state because of the mindset, marriage is about to give but everyone wants to receive. the second lady was ready to give, that´s why you made it possible. I also think most men and women as well, have a worldly mindset which set them apart from what really comes from God.

Sorry. Definitely not an uplifting video. Especially for those Christian women who indeed are "still" single. The reasons suggested seem to place them in a bad light as if it is their fault for not yet being married according to their "standards". Truth be told, some are still single because it is not their time yet or they may not even want to. For myself, I have been single for almost 2 years, not because of any of the reasons given. But because I am waiting on God to work within me to be a wife and a helpmate spiritually first. I have not wanted to be treated as a princess or anything of the matter. As a Christian, that shouldn't be your goal anyway. We are all called to be givers. Our focus is wrong when it comes to what marriage truly entails. Its beyond just being with someone and what they can give. There's a partnership. This is the reason why some are still single, both male and female because we need to be designed and molded for a partner. And that means allowing God to work within us first for His glory and not our own emotions or feelings. I understand the points being expressed but possibly the titling of this video should be reevaluated. As it all comes across just a bit negative.

I didn't know some men felt that way.🤔 It can be hard to get in a relationship when there's no men in the church. A woman shouldn't have to go church hopping, or go online to find someone. I think a lot of Christian girls are stuck in the house so it's hard to meet men, anyways good video!😉

I am 51, never married, 3 degrees (one in a technical field) and would have gladly settled down with a guy who did the backstroke instead of walking on water. (I am an ex-lifeguard too.) Thank you for not calling us bitter or unfeminine as many do. (I sat through one tirade too many along with too much unwanted "advice" aka bullying from pastors and married church women.) My ex-fiance failed to mention his felony and misdemeanor convictions, and most other Christian men do not like me. Many nonchristians are more cordial and polite than Christians in my age group, since the church favors them, and they know it. Yes, I am rather bitter. And sad.

I would much rather hear your perspective on this subject Maggie, as you have real experiences of singleness as a Christian woman. Your bitterness & sadness comes from a place of real pain & I hope you know that I see you. I'm sorry for your pain. I must admit I am a little bit bothered by a man telling me why I'm single. I can see that you mean well Justin, but you do have a limited perspective on this subject. Instead of telling women what they are doing, I would recommend listening & digging deeper into their stories from their own perspective. I am not here to shame you, but I did want to throw that out there. Maybe if your video had been posed as a question towards women, I would have received it better. Again, not trying to make you feel bad, just wanted to add a little food for thought. I am still single because no christian man has approached me yet. I've been living in the Netherlands for the past 3 years. Dutch society is not religious so nowadays you rarely see young men going to church . The men who do go to my church are mostly old, married or single and not- my- type kind of men. And I have never got approached by a dutch christian man. I only get approached by muslim men when I am walking on the streets. And this is kinda frustrating too because I am attracted to men with middle eastern features just like the turkish and morrocans who live here. But because of the difference of faith I will respectfully decline their interest. For now I will keep praying to the Lord to help me find a good husband and pray to give me more patience while I am single.

Ooh wow. I think that's drastically over-simplying things and actually quite stereotyping. In my experience, most Christian women are single because Christian men aren't asking them out and we've been taught that men need to be the ones pursuing in a relationship, so with the men not pursuing, nothing ends up happening. In my college years, I think this phenomenon was largely due to the book "I Kissed Dating Goodbye", which I think made a lot of guys scared to ask out girls because they feared that they had to know if they wanted to marry the girl or not before dating her. You'd end up with people who had either not dated anyone in years or who started dating and got engaged within a couple of weeks of dating, neither of which is a necessarily healthy relationship situation. In my adult years, I think it more has to do with there just being less Christian single men than Christian single women. The problems you list infer that these women are actually getting asked out in the first place, which I don't believe is happening very often. And while I can think of one person who could fall under the category of the first type of women you mentioned, and one person who could fall under the category of the second type of women you mentioned, I don't think these things are true at all of Christian women in general.

It's also become so culturally accepted to speak ill of one's girlfriend or wife, and I see this a lot among Christian men. I so often see this "martyrdom" attitude, as if the man is somehow "stuck" with his wife and "Oh how terrible! She's annoyed when I don't take the trash out for five days! I have to actually compromise every once in awhile now! Ugh she's the worst and I'm going to laugh about it with all my buddies!" It's a toxic mentality and one which Christians should be at the forefront of renouncing but somehow, we've let it fester. I think our culture has drilled it into people that women feel loved when you give them pretty things. But the reality is, for most women I know and for me, simply being kind and listening and not putting down feelings says a billion times more than a diamond necklace ever could.

I'm only speaking out of my own experience and what I've seen as a common trend among women that I actually respect, particularly in Christian circles. It's something that I've seen commonly in the marriages within my own family and it's hurtful, rude, and absolutely not God-honoring. Of course there are women who speak ill of their husbands. I said nothing to deny that. However, that was not the issue I was addressing. It's like if a cop were to pull you over and you were to say "yeah, but other people speed, too." The fact that other people also do the same thing would have no relevance on the cop's ability to issue a ticket. You have your own story and your own opinions and that's okay. But to say that what I said is "bullshit" and that it "never happens" is complete denial of or ignorance to the fact that many good women are put down and written off by the very person who is supposed to love them the most.

Lauren May i agree but i spoke with a couple of Christian Men and the reason they are scared to commit is because they are afraid they are going to fall into a sexual sin. From my perspective and the people i have talked to, its harder for a man to keep control than it is a female. I'm not an expert this is what i have noticed.

Just 1:01 minutes into this video and It's already bugging me. "Some girls have set up standards so high that only Jesus can fulfil them, we can't walk on the water or raise the dead" I'm sorry but what? I am a 23 year old Christian girl, waiting for the right guy to come along in my life and I know for a fact that I'm not the only one. I don't have super high standards nor do I or any of us girls want or expect a guy who can walk on water or raise the dead...We just want someone who loves us for us. Genuine love, something that is sadly too hard to find in this generation of hookups, fuck buddies and one night stands" We just want a man who puts God first. For me, If a man doesn't fall down on both knees in prayer, isn't fit to go down on one knee with a ring. I'm single because most of the guys I like or the guy that approach me, turn out to be fuckboys. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Just looking out hookup and having some "fun" . If NOT settling for people I know I am better off without and If knowing my worth and holding on to my singleness until the right guy comes along in my life makes me "STUCK UP" or a girl with "SKY HIGH STANDARDS" so be it. There are Tons of guys out there that put God first and I know, he's out there praying for me like I am praying for him and when the time is right, God will bring us together and it will be worth the wait.

I went to a Christian high school, and in one of my Bible classes the teacher had us make a list of what we wanted in our future spouses. I put some real honest thought into it and my list had a bout 5 or 6 things on it. A girl I knew who had been a Christian all her life had about 100 things on her list and she was not that far outside of the norm for the ladies in the class. I think this is a real obstacle for a lot young Christian ladies out there.

A more realistic reason is the lack of Christian men, maybe you should work on introducing men to Jesus instead of blaming women for having lists that you didn’t read You didn’t even say what on the list was unreasonable - because you aren’t taking into account what they said. Just focusing on the fact that they wrote more. You didn’t say they were limited to 5/6 things but you’re quick to suggest they’re unreasonable

@@missNCW She wasn't shy or ashamed of her list. I read what she she was willing to share with me. It was quite the bill obviously with over 100 things. The number of items on the list is evidence alone to me that the list is unreasonable. I also led a co-ed Bible study with mostly men in it. I've done my part to bring men in the church. It seems hypocritical to me that you judge me for judging someone too quickly, then proceed to judge me based off of a single years old KZbin comment.

A large part of the reason is that women like men that are in many regards better than them (this is twice as true for Christian women). Women like guys that are older than them, talller than them, stronger than them, smarter than them, funnier than them, make substantially more money than them, and believe it or not, peer reviewed studies show women are more discriminating when it comes to appearance than men. All the pressure is on men to be exceptional. Women want prince charming without being the female equivalent of prince charming. This is something that's universally recognized by all men of all cultures.

Being respected is something I crave as well, and something I look for specifically. I've met some really nice guys and they treat me well but also like a child, without the respect I think I deserve. Being treated as less intelligent, or just as less, even if it is kind treatment, is sort of the worst. I don't like feeling small and these sort of guys make me feel that way. So guys, girls want respect too, Respect as equals, a respect that every child of God deserves.

Hey Laura, I just really want to encourage you. Singleness is NOT a bad thing. I believe that leading up to finding out spouse, we experience this really awesome period of singleness and waiting in The Lord! He absolutely wants to use you in this season! There are things as single people we can do for the kingdom that we simply can't when we are married. I want to encourage you that in this season of waiting on a teammate, continue to pray and lean into the promises that The Lord has someone for you, and that person will push you to grow closer to Him. But in this time of patience and prayer, hold firm to the work you can do as a daughter of The King, knowing He will give you an abundant life so long as you live for Him! Good luck! Xx

As a man I find this video to be very unfair to single women. Although I think he made some points that can be applied to some women I don’t think they answer the question. Marriage rates are declining in America across all religions. Divorce rates are going up in the church. Women tend to outnumber men in the church. We just went through the whole “ I kissed dating goodbye” era that discouraged dating in the church thus making it almost impossible to meet someone. Other methods of dating are looked down upon. Lastly, Christian men aren’t taught how to date so they don’t pursue or don’t know how to pursue this eliminating them as potential romantic options.

In many cases, the reasons you have given may be correct. but in my Christian walk I have noticed more women committed to the life and actions of a true believer than men. If I were a man, I am sure that I would have already married, but it is difficult to find men who are balanced spiritual, who are not sexist or religious, who are committed to the mandates, and who reflect being good heads. If you started your Christian life when you were older it is difficult, because the type of Christian men that a woman dreams of is his head usually marry early. But for God there is nothing impossible. But I think that it really requires strengthening the male image in the church, not only as believers but as people. That means applying the verses and not just memorizing them. Thank you

Just came across your channel & checked it out because the title was intriguing. Now, my two cents on the matter. Marriage is such a sacred and holy thing and should not be gone into lightly, and, as christians, our standards are naturally higher than the world's standards so we should not be dating and pursuing like the world does, nor should we look for a mate based on the world's standards. This, I believe, is why both male and female christians are finding it difficult to find the right mate, and/or, get disappointed when he/she starts dating someone and they don't meet these idealistic 'fantasies' of what a true mate/help meet is. I believe (and have witnessed many times), if a person desires to be married, don't obsess about it, God knows the desire of your heart, and will honor that and give you the RIGHT person. You would be surprised at how God can put the right person he has for you in your path (and there won't be any question for either of you). Just live your life and pursue God, make God's business your business and that person will come along (but your heart must be right, though). God does not force anyone to be single, people who have the grace to be single, like Apostle Paul. For others, start reading the word and find those scriptures about marriage and about what it means to be a Godly man or woman, and what a Godly married man or woman is. Just my two cents. Unfortunately, this is an issue in the church for all ages, that is why the divorce rate within the church mirrors the world and shouldn't.

I think christians stay single because the Lord hasn't confirmed to them whom they are to marry yet. You can look for fruit and see it, you can look for the qualities of Christ and find it! But if the Lord hasn't led you two to come together in marriage then you're going to remain single until He does. Tbh, I don't think we should be seeking the one God has chosen for us. We should seek first the kingdom of God and all His righteousness and He will add to us all the things He knows that we need. It's better that way. Dating/courting is unnecessary right now lol. God is sovereign. You can never lose what God has for you by seeking After God. That's like "oh I didn't know he was my husband Lord because I was too busy being in Your Word and growing in Christ." Lol 😂I don't believe it works like that.

Oilau Sosene-Feagai let me ask you this if two guys approached you and both of them where godly men and had great attributes and a good foundation in Christ and you where more inclined to be with one and ended up marrying him, is that not gods plan, now let's say you marry the other one is that also gods plan....marriage isn't finding the "ONE" marriage is enjoying being with someone in fellowship and pursuing god and being a light to this world if every Christian had one companion it just wouldn't work it's like going to a college you could have many options but if you choose one and not the other doesn't mean you made the wrong choice but if it has the same end goal it's really at your discretion
@oilausosene-feagai3715
@oilausosene-feagai3715 7 жыл бұрын
mike costanza I disagree. Here's why, although marriage can/should be all those wonderful things you've mentioned, it is first and foremost a covenant. It's not about finding the "one" in today's terms, but it is about being in a covenant with the one that God has chosen. I know I can come off dogmatic in trying to prove this point, but I do so because of the sovereignty of God. Whatever He wills will be done. If I am a believer, born again in Christ, sealed by His Holy Spirit and God wills me to marry Joe but I will to marry John, even though the end goal (like you say) and would be the same, then guess what? I'm marrying Joe. Period..lol. For instance, Abraham was promised a son, years passed and nothing. His wife pushed Hagar onto him and he finally had a son that he and his wife figured would bring about the same end goal that God wanted. But That's not what God had planned. It in fact made a mess lol. I could've used a better illustration but I'm sure you understand.

Oilau Sosene-FeagaiI I always tell people, God doesn’t confirm that that person will be your partner. If He did and the marriage turned out to be a madness then you could go back to God and say “you put me here! Sort it”. There is no fault in God. Marriage is not about finding “the one”, its about making a decision and then operating through unconditional love.

i've been a single woman for many years, it is a personal choice you make to be single, i find that the longer you are single the stronger your relationship with Christ will grow, when you are mature enough as a christian women / man God will bring you to your future husband / wife, the young people should stop worrying about dating and getting married, life is about your relationship with God and not about getting married and having children, get inline with what God wants you to be as a daughter or son, when you have reached that level God will give you all that you need, seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and everything else will be added on, this verse is applicable to all areas of your life, when God is first in your life you will not feel the need to go looking for a partner God sees your heart and He will give you what or who He knows is right for you.....

These are very cute reasons, but only one sided. (What if, some of these Christian men are only interested in their sexual attraction to the Christian woman, without marriage, without any form of commitment? Hmm. Just an example, but my bad, if you have never heard of this.) You never know what the truth is, unless you investigate to find the truth. Maybe when the next Christian guy complains about another Christian woman's rejection of him, you could possibly ask her what happened, all while in his presence. Just saying, dude. Since, after all, you are not looking to date these guys, she is. But this is a cute post. Thanks for the upload.

Ill add that christain girls may remain single is because they will not settle for just any guy, perhaps they think want to wait longer to get in a relationship because they want to enjoy the single life and stay focused. Thanks!

I feel like I'm still single for exact opposites of those reasons because I like to be very independent. (but I do think these reasons do apply to many girls) I hate when a guy do things for me, like pay for my food. I know he just trying to be a gentlemen but it irritates me on the inside. I know my guy friends keep saying I just need to take a chill pill and allow guys to do or give nice things. but I don't like taking gifts without giving.

I am very much the same way and feel like it's mean in a sense to just sit back and let things get done for me. I guess I wish guys would try to see it from my point of view and see that I would take other forms of compensation (effort, intent, kindness and understanding) for my time until I feel comfortable that they don't feel taken advantage of. But I guess that's not so romantic is it? It seems very confusing because, as was mentioned in the video, guys don't want to feel slighted and feel that they are being taken through the wringer by a "gold digger", but at the same time we're not letting you be a man if you're not taking care of us. I don't feel both have to be mutually exclusive, but if I let you pay on the first date and I don't know you well; how am I to know what to do for you to compensate you, at least intrinsically?

I'm 13, Most girls my age have dated over 20 boys already others younger have gone over 20 the reason I don't date is 1. Too young. 2. Do see myself as a princess and a daughter. 3. Parents forbid it. My friends say it's okay just do it you don't have to tell them, do like we do, keep it a secret but I'm a no. 4. Relationships are only when I'm ready to get married which is after College. 5. On my first day of school my mother made it clear before I left the car no dating, foul words or boys. I've kept to that rule and e also made sure to tell me because it's against the rules and because this is how a lot f girls get pregnant. I am tempted to date someone but I don't want to too young for it. Grades and scholarship come first I have great expectations for my future I don't want to go to hell I want heaven and I've set that as a goal.

But I promise there will be plenty of time to enjoy getting to know guys, and it is wonderful that you are honoring your parents and respecting what they ask of you. I see some of this as correct, as everyone is different and many people do have skewed expectations. Something to thing about in relation to the "princess/ prince" argument is the unfortunate fact that, yes while many men still offer to pay for dinner and be the one to take women out, women in return are expected to be sexual objects, maids, cooks, and the primary domestic caretaker, in addition to whatever job they may already have to make money. So it's important that men see that women do all this extra work they often are not appreciated for or thanked for, too. It's not just men that are expected to do thankless things.

I'm 24 and never had a boyfriend,I almost got into a relationship when I was 17 that I was sure could've messed me up , so I am so thankful that Jesus saved me from him and I saw who he really was early,I was too young and too dumb and excited to fall in love but as a result I became too cautious to the point that I didn't want to trust anyone with my heart.now I'm still single and ask myself why? Am i not enough? Am I not beautiful enough for anyone?i had some guys talk to me before but I could see their intentions aren't really that great and as a result I stay away, one red flag for me though is if I'm always the one to bring up God in the conversations and all they ask me is what do I like for a guy.,, to be honest I don't even know , all I know is I want someone that loves Jesus more than anything because I know if he loves Jesus then he knows how to really really love, beyond all those physical stuff, but sadly I haven't come across anyone like that, it's not that I have a high standards for men, I'm not perfect myself , I don't expect them to be perfect, just have God as his priority, I need someone that will lead me closer to God and will respect and love me truly, I'm at age where people are asking why I'm still single and they're probably thinking something is wrong with me lol,I hope God will lead me to someone he really wants for me because I cannot trust myself

Reading some of these comments from women, makes me happy i left the church. Lord, oh lord, oh lord. My fav answer on here.. goes along something like this. "God told me to be single." 😂😂😂 even though there's few available men around her. Most likely she just isnt attracted to him by looks or whatever else she finds in a dream man..... So she says all these other things to justify it. It's amazing how we pick and choose things from the bible on how we want to act. The last christian lady i dated, terminated her engagement to a dude, because he was ugly. He sounded like a good decent christian saint though. 😂 Did god tell her to tell me that? Or we picking and choosing the actions of what god does? it's hard to take yall serious. Guess you all will just keep complaining.

So why is it the Christian woman's fault that she's still single? This is a huge generalization and not at all accurate. In my experience the Christian men around me more often than not are way too immature and have a faith that is a mile wide and an inch deep. They are insecure which makes them needy and go after any girl they can get, but then blame it on her when she breaks it off. Maybe in your area you have mature Christian men actively pursuing women but that has largely not been the case that I have seen. This was saddening to watch a man of God belittle Christian women and make them feel like they're doing something wrong and that's why they're not in a relationship. This video is divisive and encourages stereotypes about Christian men and women that are inaccurate and only further the idea that it is always the woman's fault. To girls and women watching this, don't listen to this guy. You are not unlovable and God has you in his hands. He is doing a work in you and will open opportunity in his time. Hold fast, stay faithful, and don't let videos like this make you feel less than 💛

For me as a Christian girl who is single and in public high school, I really don't have an interest in dating right now, and I'm focusing on my growth with my relationship with God and Jesus. I do have high standards but I don't expect anyone to be perfect, and all of the Christian boys that I know are either taken, or I don't like them that way. I do respect every boy I know with love, and am so blessed to have the friendships i have with these incredible Young Christan brothers whom i love so much as brothers. I understand self worth and building each other up. im litterly single and Im loving it. i know that God will send my perfectly imperfect guy my way one day, if it is in His plan, and I'm willing to wait.

"...dump his sorry behind as being single would actually be a huge upgrade for you." SO MANY truth bombs in this video. The vast majority of the Christian women I've asked out have said no; while most of the women I've asked out who I've not had a conversation about God with yet have said yes. Something's not adding up when Christian women reject Christian guys without a second thought, and then say they can't find anyone. Also, judging by the comments here and elsewhere concerning dating and courtship, it seems like many women believe that us guys are supposed to know they're "the one" before we even start dating them, in other words that we should only ask out the girl we know we'll marry. But dating is there so two people can get to know each other and the nature of their relationship with God. VERY few us of are going to only ask one girl out in our lives and it be the one we're going to marry.

There are so many sexist and cutting remarks that this guy projects onto the whole of women. The overall vibe I get from him is just icky. He sounds like all his life he was the typical “nice guy” who had so low self esteem that all his life till marriage he put women on a pedestal and did all these nice things for women expecting something in return. Then he got bitter when the girl either decided she didn’t like him back or likely felt smothered by his idolizing behavior to win her over. Women won’t respect men who pretend to be “nice” but aren’t genuinely being selfless and have an agenda and strings attached to their behavior. Love is not about equality. It’s about just giving without expecting something in return. Jesus came to serve not be served so this dude doesn’t know the basics. This guy also says SO many things that are subtly hinting at an overall disgust towards women. He needs to get some counseling from all the hurt from his past and stop projecting his pain onto all women. He’s perfect example of mysogonistic, entitled men in western society (and hugely in the church too) who see women as pretty objects to cook and clean for them and have sex and give a lot back just cause they are trying to earn their love. No woman owes a guy anything just cause he does stuff for her. And when he says the comment about how women should beat their guy to doing something nice for her before he gets to it that just really rubbed me the wrong way. There are numerous things wrong with this boy. Lord help the “Christian” boys out there who can’t respect women or see them as equals. Also, his shirt says heaven bound. If that’s not arrogant I don’t know what is.

Abby Escamilla not all christian girls know how to date even with the intentions of marriage either. They want the perfect guy. Good looks, nice body, manly, dominant and not a gentlemen or nice average looking guy. You all lie and say you want one thing but in reality it's the complete opposite. Don't lie to yourself and say that all women aren't like this. You must look at yourself before going into any godly relationship with any guy you may find attractive. Be careful

Hi Justin, I'd like to share my story with you on why I'm still single. I asked God to keep guys away for the time being because I was tired of getting hurt, and the relationships wasn't bringing me closer to God but the opposite . God answered my prayers and by him keeping me single I could focus on my relationship with him and grow spiritually. I am currently still single and have asked God to send me the man he has in mind for me at HIS time, and according to HIS plan, not mine. So what I'm trying to say is another reason why Christian girls are single might be part of God's plan for them to grow in their relationship with him, before they start a relationship with a man.

My experience was this, there was a guy that was in love with me and I was in love with him, he persuited me and then draw back and so on and so on. So I thought; "he doesn't know what he wants." Later on I married my best friend and that is also the best base. Marry you best friend. And do not push each other in women and men role models, I have seen that happen with so many christian marriages and they are all divorced now. Just be yourself and except your partner in life just as he is. Forgiveness is the big key here. God will help you in this, if you are willing.

That means that I am just a simple woman, loving my man not because of money, but because of who he is. Love is not about money. Although if there would be debts, I would not have married him, because it is a sign of not being content with the small things and only wanting bigger and bigger very fast, that would not be the type of man, I would want to marry. Because such a man is not a man after Gods heart. You can enjoy a simple life and be happy, you do not need much, happinez is in the small things. Happinez is in loving God and loving each other. After that being healthy, having good food, a roof over your head and a warm bed, that is all you need. So many people want big weddings, that costs a lot of money and they want to have everything now. That is so stupid. We have had a very cheap wedding, but we have a life full of love and care for each other. So many people have an expensive wedding and their marriage does not last long and than they are divorced. Even christians do it that way.

To many people accept what they think that they deserve, but they settle for less because they don't feel that they deserve to be treated like the queens that they are. Yes, I love to receive gifts and no one doesn't so I agree with you. My view on Christian woman being single is because they know that when God delivers the right man to them then they will know. Tbh I’m just fifteen, I’m a Christian but I don’t go to church since I’m not allowed to, but the truth is that it’s very hard to find Christian girls ur age(from the times that I’ve been to church) most of the people there are already married and of age. I’ve barely met Christians in my life, even though one of my best friends is a Christian. Also I do understand that we have to stay away from sexual immorality but on the dating thing people just take it to the extreme sometimes idk it’s just my opinion. If it’s hard for non Christians(the vast majority of the world) to get into a serious relationship, imagine Christians ( the vast minority of the world). God bless

Its the list isnt it. Burn the list. Love someone who loves Jesus and actually bears the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Be gracious about his 'flaws' ie hair growing our of nostrils etc...be honest you can live with it, buy him a nose hair trimmer.

I myself remain single because I "limit" myself to only dating Christian men my age, there aren't many out there it appears. - and it's a matter of morals too.

I appreciate the effort put into this video and I believe your heart was in the right place. But I honestly don't think these reasons are reality for even most single Christian women, young or old. A woman that's truly after God's heart, truly a follower of Christ... I really doubt that these are seasons for singleness for the large majority or atleast it hasn't been my experience nor that of those around me. BUT what I do know for myself, by the revelation of God in my own life is that many many many women, God has hidden for a season, he's preparing, her pruning her and doing the same for her future husband until the time that He sees fit that should come together. I just pray that we don't forgot that God is constantly at work, nothing is by accident or surprise to Him. I think sometimes we forget just how purposeful the things we overlook, are to God.

Thanks for linking the article. Your video was kinda hard on single women...from a man and an article written by a man. It referenced a woman name "sarah"..she's the exception not the everyday rule..also she was an older woman as I am so I can see why she wanted what she wanted..not me but I see why..no time to beat around the bush ;- ) kinda thing. Over the years I've seen something heartbreaking on all age levels. A Christian man will go outside of the faith and marry a woman who turns into a believer. So is she a believer because this is what's required to be married? It's as if he wants to "train her" in the faith. There are so many beautiful Christian women of all ages..why do men do this? This is a video I believe your wife should have done, not you. Very condemning..even the title was accusatory. 👎

I think because a non-christian woman is not thinking about marriage straight away. Reading the article, I think its more of a cautionary tale rather than generalizing that all Christian women are the same. As a single man myself, I must admit it's really difficult to pursue Christian women. I think the pressure of dating with the view of marriage often kills relationships in infancy. I wish I could just date because I enjoy a woman's company, rather than marriage being thought of (or even discussed) on the first or second date. I think us Christians need to ask ourselves, do I enjoy this person's company, way, way, way before any thought on whether this person is marriage material.
