I had completely forgotten that the beginning of the story has Marian say “we’ve been shot down” implying of course that the commander and Marian were being transported by aircraft, which seems like a bit of a writing oversight at this point considering all surface travel seems to be done on foot

In Modernia's bond ep 4, we learn from a skin sample that "Her tissue material is completely fused together" [...] "with Rapture material." Mana calls the fused material "close to perfection". "By combining the compositions seen in both a Nikke and a Rapture" [...] "it's possible to make up for the shortcomings in each" [I think the plot at the end of Stellar blade came from this idea, two enemies meant to be part of the same technology.] We know Nikkes were made to combat the raptures, but they were made from _something_ that the Humans already had. The Raptures came down the space elevator, but aren't aliens: a human being built them up there. Nihilister's Liberation ep 2 says that the Rapture Queen (who used to be Lilith/Liliweis) is searching for her Nikke body. (Nihilister thinks this can be used to kill the Queen, but doesn't know exactly how.) Lilith was the strongest Nikke to the point of not using guns, but that strength wore her out faster that the others in the Goddess Squad. (Similar to Rapi using Red Hood, so maybe she has two cores?) Snow White went looking for Lilith's grave at the end of OverZone and found the (edit: head) was missing. If the Queen!Lilith has it, she could get the strength of Lilith with all the upgrades Modernia has. [Note: this Lilith!Queen is not the Queen that Lilith and the Goddess Squad fought in RedAsh, so I think Old!Rapture!Queen made Lilith the new queen in the same way Lilith!Queen is doing with Modernia.] (Ingrid orders the findings destroyed and forgotten due to the danger to the ark.) (Mana also calls the fusion "an amalgamation of skin, muscle and dead skin cells" which implies either Nikkes' "robotic" bodies -or- Raptures' bodies may actually be made of genetically engineered cells or cell-like machines)

Glad someone else brought up stellar blade Both imo are very similar to megaman. The X, zero, Zx, and legends imo Where Reploids (robots) are created with the same mental faculties as humans. Only thing is they can be corrupted via a sentient virus and go maverick Over the course of the games, reploids are given human life spans, and humans are given reploid parts, basically making the 2 1 in the same. By the time of legends, humans are kinda GONE. Those remaining on earth are called "carbons" basically perfectly synthesized humans, but... not human. The last human, the master, dies off. And there's a program on elysium (a space colony) that can delete the carbon and from their bodies, restore the og humans. In Zx, u get biometals, little drone like robots designed after Zeros strongest characters that allow specific ppl to turn into said specific character. That person has to have specific traits that are similar, and the will to control said power. I feel like the queen chose marrian because she may have been able to see her mind, and, noticing that marrian had traits the queen considered good, decided to make her queen. Similar to how the biometals choose a certain character, or how Adam chose eve. It's funny asl as so much of stellar blade is similar to the X-legends games. I wasn't surprised at 2 boss battles we got. But the elder naytiba did surprise me a lil.

There were some failed corruption attempts in the red ash event, so I doubt they were built for the purpose of fusing but rather adapted in the 100 years. Now if they used Lillyweiß as reference they probably overspeced on the process. And there were some interesting side remarks in that Event that might come into play soon.

update: with Old Tales event, we now know for sure: The Queen of Goddess' Era was defeated by Cinderella, so Raptures salvaged Lilith's head to make a new queen.

Very interesting theory! I think you might be even right. For some reason, Marian's connection with the us the Commander was already extremely strong when she was corrupted and saved us in Chapter 0. Most Nikke at that time didn't have a good connection to their commanders due how Nikkes were seen. Even Counters had distrust in seeing the newbie Commander.

She a new queen. It stated the actual queen is still active. I see it as bees. If a new queen is born the old one ether fight the new one or dies by the drones. The original queen is still alive with liliwiess head in space. Marian more like a proto queen.

There's no statement that Lilith is still alive as the Queen, people just assumed that it's the case for some reason. Nihilister used the term "Predecessor" when referring to Lilith, meaning that she's already been replaced by a successor. Nihilister also never mentioned Modernia's name when she listed down the names of the Heretics that the commander is already aware of, and instead she mentioned "the Queen".

The rapture have Lilith head and are looking for her body. Unless Marian was build with her body. Also thier something with the commander the chatterbox want as the commander has a blackbox and the crystal chamber tried to absorb him. Also at the end of the the crown event. Chatterbox and Indivilia didn’t recognize as a queen until they felt pressured. It mention the space station in redhood event that we’re the queen is. So the rapture want to used Marian as the new queen. Which mostly apart of lilth head.

@@omegasol528 yes Lilith was the former Queen, that's why Nihilister used the terms "Predecessor" and "previous Incarnation" whenever she's referring to Lilith. If you analyze the wording in Nihilister's bond story, you'll realize that she's actually talking about two queens. First is the current Queen born from maternal instinct and second is Lilith the Queen's Predecessor. And the only "Nikke" rapture Queen we know of aside from Lilith is Modernia. We already know that what the Raptures wanted is related to the commander's blood and his ability to boost the performance of nikkes. The black box is the commander himself. Indivilia was unaware about Modernia because she was in Material H form when Modernia was born. As for Chatterbox, I'm guessing that the reason why he's not referring to Marian as the Queen, is because Modernia is the Queen he serves not Marian.

So, in other words, Ark is teaching the commanders to treat Nikke's as weapons rather than as living beings, comrades and friends, even though it makes them stronger, in order to avoid the threat of the appearance of new Rapture Queens?

Yes, and also to avoid complications such as the dozens we see in the main story. Chatterbox previously made an agreement with the Ark to not directly attack the Ark as long as they got a consistent stream of commanders and Nikkes; so as a commander, you are expendable and aren't expected to survive for very long. However in recent chapters this deal has since gone out of the window so it'll be interesting to see how things will play out.
