I would've preferred if he just nerfed Marine's coin making by removing the coin gain from her Pirate Captain skill entirely, but instead he nerfed Greed and every character took a huge hit so now the only coin farmer in the game is Marine. I liked it much better when we had options. Irys, Risu, Reine, AZKi, Pekora, or Marine. It was a better time. Forcing a single character to be the only one that can coin farm ruins the whole point of unlocking any other characters other than for achievements.

@@mayonotes9849 Technically both have been nerfed - Marine's weapons have been nerfed to have a lower proc rate (but they drop more coins instead), and the Greed stamp got an internal cooldown and proc limit. This should bring it down for everyone, yes, but it should make more characters viable for farming coins instead of only Marine or characters with very high hit rates (used to be Irys). The prices of the most expensive things (the scam items in the casino) has also been brought down to 7.7mil each, so there's no reason to get multimillion runs anymore, though you still can after the patch.

I've gotten enough coins (mostly through commissions at the HoloHouse because the payout bonus is insane for high quality!) to unlock most of the characters but when it comes to getting enough coins to buy all the upgrades and stuff I'm at a loss. you can dedicate entire runs just for coin farming until you die, then you shop one by one and repeat, it gets faster depending of what you buy, characters for that are marine, reine, pekora and roboco iirc, and then just select the best money making items, hope you get lucky too, the best item in the game is a money-attack infinite generator

Considering there are items need 7m (or 77m?) and 10m (100m?) coins per part in the casino, I think this was pretty much intentional. I don't think Kay Yu want people to playing (suffer) a long time to get those items. It was meant to be enjoyable. Anyway that was a nice build. Now I found hope to get those items. Currently I can only make like 500k in 30 mins. Definitely gonna try this one. All luck for you towards making the next insane build. xD

Food item that increases chance for halu, also the Hold upgrade at the shop. If you hold an item and select said item on your current level up menu, you are guaranteed to get the item the next round. I use this to get 5 straight upgrades of an item or weapon. My favorite new feature besides armory limits.

imo nothing gets easier than Fauna. She has a 100% invincible panic button with her ult, heals fully with it, her passive gives her rechargable shields that let you evade and block enemy attacks. Her upgraded main weapon does insane damage + its auto aim. She drops saplings en masse that let you heal with every single pickup AND they refresh your shield. Fauna has everything a new player wants. Auto-Aim main weapon, built in heals, built in invulnerable ult with a long duration that ALSO heals you, infinitely recharging shields, damn high damage with her tree roots that slam out of the ground. hardest part with Fauna is early early game, if you cant deal with her weapons levels 1-6. But after main weapon 7 and her passives leveld up, smooth sailing. Mumei is also pretty good, ult clears the screen, weapon is auto aim and tbh, her main weapon is kinda busted as fuck and she infinitely scales in damage because of her passives. Great for lategame too. I'd stay away from Keala/Zeta, they are super strong, but early / mid game they are rough to play, real rough.

With 0.7, I'd say Watame. The friendliest character is one that lets you make mistakes while still teaching you to be better. Watame's inherent synergy with heal items means its really easy to see a build path for her and you're rewarded for building defensively. Her main weapon being a circle aoe around her means you don't have to aim BUT you do have to get used to being up close and personal for awhile. Movement/ pathing choices is something that gets overlooked when everyone attempts to kill everything before they get close but you need to learn movement anyway to clear later maps. Better to start early.

@@Jaxter0987 Watame's interaction with healing and her mechanics would be a bit confusing and hard to understand for new players; Borderline Nothing Wrong basically doesn't function without her two other skills, and she actually doesn't have much inherent healing in her kit in general. Fauna's definitely the better "starter" character since her kit gives more sources of healing immediately, and being simpler.

Any items youd recommend to up marine's damage? I love marine to death but something with her in game is just not clicking with me and havent been able to clear area 5 endless yet, despite having no issues with several other characters. I tried building her for coins + haste and her dps just seemed so middling. Items i used on my last run were halu, super chatto, piggy bank, energy drink, the candy, membership card, and the gorilla paw (made holy fire to get rid of it)

Try out Promise Tiara over Piggy Bank! It's 22% Crit and 44% Haste! I also recommend Glasses over energy drink for better scaling. Good luck!

Marine + Greed. This Nerf to Greed didn't do much to that Char and stamp combo aside reducing by a lot the Theoretical max coins per run one could farm, but it costed basically EVERY OTHER known Coin Farmer to get F'ed into uselessness as a Coin farmer. So Marine + Greed is the way to go, as she's the only one who will reliably keep proccing the coin drops of either her weapon or the stamp, as both synergize well in filling the cooldown gaps of one another, something no other char can. This is frankly qhat happens when an Uodate as packed as this is made and released, QA just couldn't cover all areas properly enough to ensure no odd surprises such as this Horribly Broken Coin Farm strat slipped through.

Greed gives fixed chance of dropping coins, the chance of coin dropping increases with more damage. Halu also gives coins per 2 units killed. Marine skill passive also has 20% chance to drop coins.

Halu at max makes every enemy become one extra coin when stage ends (Gameover or stage mode complete), Greed stamp has a 3-5% (Based on stamp upgrade lv) of making coins drop from enemies hit with main weapon, with up to a bonus 10% chance if the damage exceeds certain thresholds (Of 10 points past the Minimum for it). Marine's main weapon when awakened has a 20% chance of making coins drop from hit enemies. Greed and Marine's weapon had very little cooldown between procs of the coin drop, and could overlap, making a shitton of coins in one go. And if you use Superchat (or its super version), it boosted the coins gained even more. That's how.

It actually increases shelf life for the vast majority of players since it takes longer to grind enough coins to buy everything. I'm sure the coin leaderboard (which the devs have the ability to reset) is engaged by a small minority of players.

@@Krikenemp18 and who likes to grind? none really i came from KRMMO iv played since 10y old to 27y old (32 now) thats on official and private server and im telling you now if there is a way to not grind people will do it this will end up in either of these 2 scenarios maybe both 1. people skip the update or find a way to skip it like the speed running scene (build a save using unpatched then update to the new) 2. find the easiest way to gain coins for the upgrades and busy stuff (its either fishing or slot machine) i can guarantee you that if a person asked right now (when the patch isnt even 1 day old) whats the best way to get coins and autoclicker would be a top contender edit: i actually looked at reddit holocure after i sent this and yep those 2 scenarios already happened lol

@@HDreamer well that doesn't make it better. I personally don't care for the nerf, as I never felt like grinding for coins and I've been playing since initial release. However, the fact that it happened at all is baffling to me. Afaic the people who would farm that way are either turbo-grinders who grind for the sake of grind OR players who want to get coins ASAP. Grinders won't care for the nerf, but those who needed cash quick will be upset. There's probably also a small percentage of casual players who would stumble upon that farming method accidentally and would receive a surprising amount of cash, but now that it's nerfed gains won't be as drastic. Dev basically kicked a beehive for no reason. Also, I didn't look into it, but if the nerf affects all characters the same, it doesn't solve the combo problem at all, just drags out the process for everyone, while meta characters remain meta. Anyway, its a bizarre and useless nerf at a glance. Good thing the game actually has enough activities as to not center around such methods of cash farming. Sure hope dev won't catch too much heat from people in a hurry.

​​​@@Poppenheimer69the "other method" is holo house is the thing, it's kinda sucks to nerf a main gameplay of the game in favor of the minigames, atleast for me tho i want to play the "game" and also make decent money, not fishing all days lo. but yeah the nerf to greed is really questionable, not only does it's not really solve the meta problem, but also ruined it for the others characters, character like irys and azki have no coins related skills so they heavily rely on greed, get nerfed to the ground, i think this update wouldn't be as much as problematic if they were only nerf marine and not everyone else.

Pray to RNG-sus for luck. If I recall correctly, it is a 5% chance a Holozon box gives you a super item.

Just luck! Although if you get a holozon box and your items are full, there’s a chance to upgrade your items to super now.

Single player game, for fun. Dev nerfs it. Pretty pathetic on devs part. No fun allowed, play the gmae only how I say you can. Many such cases. Glad I dropped this game cause anytime something for money farming is found dev nerfs it. May as well just run a cheat engine if the dev is gonna be a shitter.
