We are drowning in speakers about gold. The dollar value is artificial since using the DXY Is just comparing Fiat of a different issuer. Taking the dollar price of a basket of commodities is not very acceptable because a slowing economy and manipulation in gold markets skew everything. But a yearly chart going back to 1971 will show a regular increase in waves large and small. It's not going to change it will keep holding its value.

They don't need it to be liquid, just having it allows them latitude to do things us little people don't.
