Filipinos in general are sweet because we are very affectionate, and manifest our love in many ways - we do not shy away in expressing our emotion. We also uplift and encourage each other or give words of support when our partner has a bad day. We are also thoughtful in many ways- we lend a helping hand or buy something simple for our partner but memorable to celebrate an occasion. We take care of one another.

Maybe Anna uses the word sweet for a Filipino husband because, Filipinos are more understanding, loving and very caring compared to other nationalities. That's what I understand....

Yes family oriented and filipino men can be a good help in household chores like I've seen a lot of Filipino men as caregivers anywhere especially in California..they're more caring to the elders. They're like all around can do many things.

Why sugar in pasta? Why sweet? My own theory only: Because tomato sauce is sour, Europeans counter it with cheese (sour vs salty)---because cheese is a staple in the Western world. The Philippines has cheese, too: cow, goat, carabao cheese, but it's not much of a staple as in Europe or America. So, my theory is that Filipinos use sugar --- because we have plenty of sugar cane---to balance the sourness of the tomato sauce. Just my theory. I can be wrong, but just my piece of thought to share. 😂
@jonestraloma Жыл бұрын
@@pmcandalla I think it’s because tomatoes weren’t native to PI, and it mostly was imported from the states during WWII. So back then, a lot of sugar was added to the sauces to offset the acidity from tomatoes being stored in tin. Even after tomatoes started being grown, the flavor affinity for sweet tomato sauce had already grown in popularity.

First of all this two ladies are so pretty.. 🥰🥰 Another Latvian & Russian connection in the Philippines! 🙂 I love the vibes in this video, love the swimming pool, love the scenery of the farm (tbh, it’s looks like a hotel vibes) double thumbs up to @baylosissquad for this beautiful farm & resort that they have.. very impressive & worth a visit.. lovely indeed.. about the conversation between you & anna, i think anna, meant to say of “filipino are sweet people “ is filipinos are kind, nice, humble, easy to communicate with, interact with & maybe courting of a girl is also count as a sweet for a girl.. There are some ways a filipino men can show the women that they are sweet and some of them i mentioned already.. anyway, i hope one day you found your right one, @jelena.. you have a beautiful soul, you have a beautiful smile, your so pretty, kind, lovely and i am sure there will be someone out there that you can spend the rest of your life with.. a person who can accept you, your children & give you a better future.. it doesn’t matter if he’s a filipino or from other country.. what matter most is you both love each other.. just don’t rush everything & it takes time.. and i am sure you’ll find one someday.. 😊 i hope you & your children can go back & visit again the torres farm in cavite.. i am pretty sure they would love & enjoy there.. you are so lucky to be there.. not all people has an opportunity to be there.. i myself would love to go there & visit the Torres Farm & Resort one day.. Take care & God bless! @jelena.. God, loves you & your family.. 🙂🙏🏻 🇵🇭❤️🇱🇻

Don’t worry @jelena, who knows, someday you will find a filipino guy for you & become your husband just like with anna & eric, of baylosis sqaud if not filipino it’s still ok as long as there is love, respect, faithfulness, loyalty & honesty everything will go right in your relationship & I am sure God, will give that to you in a perfect place and in his perfect time.. Jelena, Filipino males are famous for being "Takuza" and "Anderdisaya" -- these are their most endearing qualities that make them attractive catches for their wives. Also, the Filipino male is understanding, forgiving -- and best of all -- generous! Someday, you'll meet the man of your dreams -- like Anna did -- and be happy for the rest of your life.

I think the word is sensitive to the spouse's self interest. Again having a relationship is always give and take. Able to compromise and live together as one. It's about being mature in their relationship, and yes cultural differences will make it challenging but any relationship is! But in a different challenging situation. It is not whether Russian or Filipino men are better it's about compatibility to whom you have a relationship. There are always challenges and difficulties that is why Love grows not when everything is easy. Someone is in denial when there is marriage that look so perfect.

Any relationship is always a challenge and it gets elevated to a different level to make it work when interracial. I'm saying this based on experience ... I'm a Filipino married to a New Zealander for 40 years. Respecting and accepting each others culture is a MUST. Initially, my wife used to do the cooking because she finds Filipino food a bit 'exotic'....unfortunately, she has now adjusted to my kind of food .....I do most of the cooking now :( We're both retired now and regularly travel back and forth countries ....nice to mix the tropical and temperate climate. God bless and all the best to your families!

Filipinos guys are such a gentleman especially when going on a date. They bring you flowers, chocolate or any delicious desserts. They open doors for you of cars & restaurant & they pull the chair for you so can sit down first. They ask what like to eat before ordering & they insist that they pay for the bill. Jelena is so tall & have super model legs, She's probably 6 inch taller than Anna.

@ARVI, I'm Filipina but married to an American of Italian descent. He is everything that you just mentioned and more but, he is not Filipino. I don't think that the qualities of a person have something to do with ethnicity. It is something to do with family values and how one has been brought up. I had a relationship with a Filipino before and it was a nightmare.

Constructive Critism: To help you understand our culture, the Filipino Culture, I highlighted the following for additional information that would hopefully help you be educated why Filipino love rice and why we have sweet foods. 4:01 Rice 3x a Day - Philippines is a tropical country where crops (sweet potato, casava) and grains are grown not lettuces or other vegies that you may only find in cold places, though we do have that in Northern part of the country. In provinces, most Filipino eat casava or Sweet Potato because of the climate and most Filipino, or Asians, eat rice because this is the most cheapest to produce specially for our type of climate, hence we eat rice 3 times a day. 8:25 we eat too much sweet - emphasized here is the Tocino. - Tocino is made out of pork meat preserved with sugar and saletre. During the 90s period, when refrigerator are not accesible for most Filipino families, we preseve our food through marinating (Adobar/ orgin of Adobo), meat dried under the sun and smoked that will turn to Tapa, (now the method has been modernized, but most fish still made out of traditional) and meat preserve using sugar now known as Tocino. Philippines is a tropical country unlike Russia that everything can be preseved anywhere as you are in a cold country but our rich culture has evolved to more dynamic asian cuisine that are just now being discvered and appreciated by other culture. It is easy to laugh at things that we don't understand but it takes effort to know and learn more that's why I get why you reacted like that.
