The rivalry with Lewis was a thing for a couple of years while Max was a rookie and in an inferior car. From 2020 onwards , Verstappen's superior driving skills went into overdrive and left Hamilton in the dust.

The field in F1 is way closer than the last 10 years and still a lot of people complaint that Max has been dominant for 1.5 seassons so far. If U started watching F1 after Drive to survive released in 2019 you have been lucky to begin enjoying this sport at a verry exciting time period. let look at dominant teams from year 2000 and on shall we? Ferrair 2000-2004=5 straight years with Michale Schumacher. 2005-2006 = 2 years for Renault and Alonso. 2010-2013 = 4 years for RB and Vette and last 2014-2020 = 7 years for Mercedes with 6 out of 7 beeing Lewis Hamilton. Dominating teams and driver are nothing new to F1. With 2021 seasson beeing one of the closest fights in F1 history it's obvious that a dominating car and driver feels lacluster in comparison. Ferrari had a good fight with RB in the early stages of 22 but in pure Ferrari fashion they sunk like a rock just like they did 2017 and 2018 against Mercedes. Mercedes has won 7 constructors championships and Hamilton has won every single year from 2014-2021 witht one exeption, when Nico Rosberg won in 2016 in Lewis sister car. Let's give the other teams 1 or two more years to catch up to Red Bull before complaining about the sport beeing to booring. THIS IS NOTHING NEW!!!

Sir Lewis has his run, no problem, non Englishman in #2 seat Bottas following and getting podiums , both winning boringly unless tyres shredded and engine failed … Max is fallible and that keeps the F1 racing alive. This is a braindead vid. Max is a really good racer, a generational talent even, but Formula 1 ruined itself by trying to go a bridge too far with its sustainable intiatives. The current power unit formula is extremely expensive, and and has very little roadcar relevance despite the engine size being more applicable, which has led to a disintrest from engine manufacturers. Additionally a consequence of making the cars much safer is that they are much larger and while the cars are faster than ever they're noticably less nimble which makes for some pretty boring racing.

Formula 1 needs to go back to what it was in the 1980s and that is make the cars where each team has a different car and also bring in different engines allow both turbocharged and normally aspirated inches I think that's what we need in formula 1 .

In the 80's the differences in domination were no different from today. There were tons of dominating teams back then too. The differences were the different way of counting points, less races and reliability issues unlike today. If there were no regulations, the differences with today's technology would probably be much bigger than they otherwise would. The regulations were specifically put in place to reduce performance gaps. Like how all the engines today run within 20 horsepowers between them
