I follow the medical medium lifestyle for 3,5 years and I love it. ❤ One thing that’s been important recently is the courage to get back into life and live it… not stay home to avoid certain stresses and exposures. All of this means I would perhaps not follow the protocols like i’d like to but is I am physically so much better and have to remind me its ok to live a little… but always with compassion. thank you for this nice and poignant video. ❤️

Thank you Joris! I love what you say about having the courage to get back into life and live it - that is such an important part of the healing journey. I'm so happy that you're so much better physically. Living with compassion is so beautiful. It's so great you've found a way to do your healing journey on MM your way. That is what I hope other people do - because that's how it should be! Wishing you all the best in the rest of your journey ❤

Just found this video of yours, thank you, Rachel! You’re a lovely person and putting things well into the right perspective! 🙏👍 MM is slowly turning more into the emotional issues, like the Emotion Code etc., and there are even groups now on Facebook that discuss the spiritual aspect of our healing and of human existence. I agree though that the main books and information on FB and IG etc., are indeed focused so much on foods and protocols etc. I’ve been feeling stressed by it too. You’re spot on and eye opening! I must say though I have also come to understand that the right foods and sticking to certain “nutritional rules”, can help the body to get itself out of the deepest, darkest hole - as the toxins that have built up in our bodies, may even keep us from being able to SEE there’s something emotionally not going right. Toxins tend to clog not only our body cells but also our mind and emotions. Also, food is energy. There are healing foods that have the ability to help us out of depression and/or doom, that help enhance our mood. Which can be a very good first step towards going deeper. The more our body frees itself from toxins, the clearer our mind becomes and the more depression and trauma and anxiety can lift. Depression can often be partially caused by lack of nutrients. So it all goes hand in hand. I’m all with you that spiritual healing is huge - and I know from people who have healed ONLY by working through their trauma. Without changing ANYTHING nutrition wise. It’s all energy. So when we transform the energy, our body must follow. At least this is one point of view. Life’s a mystery in so many ways! 🌟🪐 Have a lovely day ❤

Thank you. I like to think they complement each other for sure. Definitely in people who have been trying to heal a long time it becomes quite complicated and difficult to know. In my healing both played their part. So this video is really for those that aren't getting anywhere focusing on food alone because I have seen clients transform their health attending to their emotions. I'm glad MM is talking about this more. It can only help more people. Emotions impact on our physiology is not a new concept, but it feels like more and more people are receptive to it. Thanks for sharing your perspective 🙏

I do manual therapy and energy work and I do agree that none of the physical stuff works if there are blocked emotions and trauma. I think that releasing that and proper nutrition are equally important.

Thank you so much. I know my trauma and stress have caused my illnesses. Until I can heal stress and trauma, they will block me from getting better. I do my best to be healthy. Hi Ragin' Asian! I'm glad you've found the connection for yourself. It took me 20 years to see it and a whole lot of suffering along the way. I really wish I'd seen it earlier. I hear you on the perfectionism - it can be such a curse when you're trying to heal and yet you'd think it would come in handy - it's a hard nut to crack. I love that you can be okay with putting down the books - I do that myself sometimes, just take a break from it all - I stop juicing for a week or two just for some space. I'm glad that you find the videos useful! I've had some nice feedback on the top - so I'll definitely bring it back! All the best in your recovery! ❤❤❤

Hi Paolo, It would be clickbait if I'd said MM made me sick (which would get a lot more views IMO) but it wouldn't be true and wouldn't reflect the content of the video. I can see that some people might take it to mean it doesn't work full stop. That certainly wasn't the intention of the title. ❤
@rachelAO
@rachelAO Жыл бұрын
Hi! Appreciate your feedback! A few people have pointed that out and I have changed it so that it's a bit clearer. I can see how it could be seen as it doesn't work "full stop". I guess what I was hoping for is that people see why it doesn't work for them specifically - rather than it being a blanket statement. KZbin titles give me nightmares to be honest - you can never be sure how someone is going to take it 😊 I definitely don't have any intention of trying to take Medical Medium down - just to add some nuance to the message for the people who need it! Thanks for pointing it out! ❤❤❤

Hi! I haven't done a specific video on this, but most of the videos on my channel are focused on this in one way or another. I will make a video on this at some point for sure - just added it to my list! It covers a lot of different areas from relationships, overwhelm, medical trauma, symptom fear. All of which I had. A lot of my client work is focused on helping people shift it because it can be a real roadblock to everything - triggering fight, flight or freeze constantly. Thanks for asking! ❤

Thank you for the feedback. I have changed the title - because although the meaning I was getting at was "Why it isn't working for you" - because I've encountered a lot of people who don't derive the benefits from MM because of the emotional side - perhaps I should have said that. ❤❤❤

Hi Christine, You're right - it was a clumsy title. MM was a big part of my health recovery. But alongside it I did a huge amount of trauma work, stress management and really overhauling my life. That's what I'm trying to get across to people. If you're not healing on MM there is more you may need to do. ❤

Hy Syndy, I'm so glad that the video has helped you feel better about just doing the basics. I know how much we can have invested emotionally in our recoveries - it stands to reason, it is our very quality of life at stake. But when what we're doing becomes a source of stress then it's good to step back and reassess. One of the things I always say to clients is "what if this could be easy?" Because that was where I had to get to in order to really get perspective and into a calm place. I wish you all the best in your recovery and for the next part of your recovery to be much easier ❤

Hi Magdalena, It's the whole package. I believe many of us need both and I certainly did. But people get stuck because they overlook their emotions and the importance of a well regulated nervous system. I'm so happy you're using mind body techniques and they're working for you. And that's for the nice words on the top :)! ❤

Some things have worked miraculously and some have not worked at all. It has to be all my trauma. The most frustrating was the Wisdom and Intuition brain shot not working, as i feel like i could get answers on how to make everything else work. Wild blueberries are helping my PTSD, and i have started trying the Brain Meditation. Do you think if i clear all my trauma, everything else will work?
@rachelAO
@rachelAO Жыл бұрын
Hi Tess, I've seen in my work with clients and in my own health journey the benefits of doing some work on regulating the nervous system and working through past traumatic events. The thing with past trauma is that it impacts how we react, perceive and respond to stress, which in turn causes more inflammation in the body and down regulates our immune system. And so it can frustrate our attempts at recovery and stop the amazing things we're doing from being as effective. So anything you can do the get your nervous system regulated and clear the space for your body to start healing is going to be helpful. I hope that helps. ❤❤❤

I have been working on my nervous system, and I had an idea. Could you answer here, or do a video, on MM tests to see if it's working? I'll explain- I know there are some foods you can eat right before a meditation to produce an effect. Can you tell us which ones, and also anything else that works right away, so we can do a test if MM's working, and not have to commit to weeks or months of a food or protocol to see?

It is not just the physical, it is the psychological part as well. MM deals only with the first part.
@rachelAO

Yes, because I think it's a hard topic to cover in books. That's why people like Gabor Mate don't offer solutions in their books - they need to be tailored to the individual - traumas, stress, unhelpful beliefs - they are all so individual. The first part that MM deals with is really important, and the information shared is incredible, but it becomes a problem when people think that is everything they need and then don't get the results they expect.
