I wish I had heard this 7 years ago, when at age 53 I crashed, burned and have never entirely recovered. I had every single symptom you mentioned. I left my very high-stress career and for an entire year, I sat in an easy chair and filled one adult colouring book after another. I am much better than I was but my stamina remains woefully low and I tire easily. I retired early (and on a drastically reduced income) and haven’t worked since. While my symptoms SOUNDED like everything I was reading about adrenal fatigue, I never understood, until now, why my doctor didn’t give me a diagnosis. I cannot thank you enough for this... Because my doctor never told me anything (just gave me one prescription to stop work and another for sleeping pills) I really wondered if I was a bit crazy. You’ve given me answers I’ve waited years to hear. I’m now about to watch your video on what to eat if you’ve had adrenal fatigue!!! 🙏

Can this be passed down to children if it seems a parent, grand parent or maybe great grandparent had this but no name . Children, well adults now who don't watch what we watch because they are managers and work 2 jobs and cover for people who don't want to work?! Military, high Stress, Master Sargent 25 year's in and female, what will she suffer? What can us who have grown children do to help our adult children not suffer from this? Forward videos I do , healthy eating, but stress is terrible now and seems much worse then when we were in our 30s-40s. Maybe cell phones and the internet is mental overload as well. 🤗Dr Berg

I have adrenal fatigue and the doctor said it doesn’t exist and offered me antidepressants! I found a homeopathic nutritionist who recognizes it, he use to be a pharmacist and left western medicine behind. I have only one month working with him, he said give it closer to 4 months to see most of my symptoms gone. I’m excited and following the diet the best I can and taking some supplements. After about a week I finally started to sleep again without drinking. Now I’m sleeping normal again, my appetite is back and my blood pressure is dropping. Monday I’ll start working out again.😁

The only symptoms I had was low libido,fatigue, and lack of ambition to do anything. I would fall asleep while doing a project. My doctor hormone doctor said my hormone levels were normal. So I ordered a saliva test from Life Extension ($150). Something was wrong and I knew it. The results: morning, afternoon, and evening adrenal function was at the bottom of the chart. My night level was in The normal range which is why my sleep was unaffected. After taking the adrenal supplement my doctor suggested my libido came back with a vengeance as well as my ambition. I have pretty much all these symptoms! Especially recovery after exercising. I love to CrossFit and Oly lift and I’ve literally stopped going to the gym because it takes me dayssss to recovered after a moderate workout. Folks would think I was crazy when I said I just don’t feel right. What’s even crazier is I now am an assistant coach for HS basketball and one day I was walking passed the health room when I seen some posters on the wall about the causes of BP which I suffer from as well as low Vit D! I noticed the adrenal glands on the kidneys and was intrigued. I was reminded that the adrenals control/regulate the kidneys and thought to myself why haven’t this been looked at as the possible cause of hypertension I’m suffering from. High BP is a symptom not a cause. Then I stumbled onto your page!!! Thank you so much for this knowledge. You really are a Gem Doc!

No surprise there! If people only knew. You should hear about the value of magnesium chloride and magnesium in general. And, while magnesium is not an official drug it is as powerful as a drug! It is just an example of something soooo valuable that doctors don't use. If you see "magnesium oil" that will be "magnesium chloride." ALSO something I once said to my brother: "Never underestimate the ability of a doctor to ignore his patient."

I have to put in a word for those doctors now. A lot of these are unspecific and/or subjective, so they either mean something or, in all, probability, nothing. It may just be your anxiety that made you go to doctor, or it may be a subclinical problem, which needs to be taken care of. You can do a lot for yourself through regular sleep schedule, good diet and some training.

Now I feel like my body almost refuses to do anything strenuous enough to get my adrenals pumping. I thought it was just age. But a big variable here was that I didn't start drinking coffee until I was older. I didn't realize too until recently coffee causes a slow drip of adrenaline release. I’ve been diagnosed with hyperadrenergic POTs. There are many parallels between POTs and what you are calling adrenal fatigue. How would one differentiate one from the other? What do you suggest to help with these symptoms aside from diet, sleep, and reducing stress? I’ve been dealing with this for almost a decade. Your help could really help my quality of living!

I also have POTS and was honestly thinking the same thing. I do know several others in the community who do have both POTS and adrenal problems.

Jake I’m in exact same boat at the moment but I’m on year 1 not 10 like you. My cardiologist said I’ve got a “severe case” to try and justify letting me leave hospital with BP still spiking even on meds. I was looking into this adrenal fatigue because I can relate to every symptom and pass every test too I don’t really know where to go with it. How high can your BP go? And is it high at rest ? I’ve seen mine at 188/115 at rest and if I get even slightly stressed I’m at 160/100+ I just can’t de with any emotion without getting flooded with chemicals

I also have Hyperadrenergic Pots, severely high blood pressure and heart rate. Found out last year I have Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. Since getting treatment for that, my bp/hr have come down to almost normal, and I'm in remission from Addison's Disease. Off steroids after 12 years, but I'm very fatigued.

Hey doc, I just subscribed. I listened to your video about hydration. It made sense to me (over drinking water will cause the imbalance in my body by minimalising the minerals). I like how you present the info. Just dont end up like Dr.Oz (recommending things because it pays your bills).

But, i have turned vegetarian since 15 years now, as i am a Vedic astrologer in india. I just eat vegetables, fruits, pulses, lentils,tea, coffee,some dairy. No eggs, meats,fish. There are lots of vegetarians in india.please make videos on how to get protein on a vegetarian diet.

Thank you, once again. I did everything right last time this happened to me, but was attacked by others for it. It just came natural to me. I was attacked so bad by others that it put me into trauma. It’s difficult to heal yourself with ignorance around you. It’s very disheartening to have no support. I’m grateful to you for all your guidance. It’s actually saving my life.

Does adrenal fatigue cause difficulty falling asleep (due to wide awake at bedtime)? Does adrenal fatigue cause a person to daily awaken groggy and foggy (even with eight hours sleep)?

Sorry but I just realized I have this, long term stress for years, all of a sudden I stop eating and later I cant work all day, I just get totally fatigued. My digestive system wasnt working from stress which in turn causes stress, I chose to trust Jesus, stop worrying, it took time and I had to work through panic attacks but I am getting better, lots of rest and taking care of my system. So I know its adrenal fatigue and I can get better naturally by eating meats and broth and hydration and also if I crave something I still get a treat I just dont overdo it. Its been about 6 years and I just looked up why dont I feel well when I havent gone to the bathroom? Why do I feel so bad and I realized my digestive system was a mess due to stress and the video I saw said adrenal fatigue and it was a lightbulb. When I first had massive stress panic attack, racing thoughts my crazy doctor said you probably wont ever get better, and I was like well stress got me here so if I destress my body can heal and it is but I needed information the doctors and psychologists dont give you, they are clueless! So you gotta figure out why it started and work backwards.

Make sure you check the manufacturers guidelines on your home BP monitor- BP readings will be inaccurate when lying down or standing as many automatic BP machines require you to be seated left arm at heart height. If you know someone who can check your BP manually, this is the most accurate.

Hi doc, when you suffer from adrenal fatigue it is already too late. So, I would suggest to prevent. One way to do that is to measure your HRV daily. I remember hearing it once in a video from you. I believe people should be more aware of this tool to measure the state of your nervous system.
@di40852 жыл бұрын
What do you mean by too late are you saying that you cannot fix the problem?
@questionmark80462 жыл бұрын
@@di4085 you can always fix adrenal fatigue. What I meant is that if you experience the symptoms it is already too late, since you suffer from it. Better prevent than suffer.

Hi Dr. Eric Berg! I'm just watching one of your videos about hair loss and you were mentioning different supplements that could help. Could you please make a video about when and how often we should be consuming different daily supplements in general? Should we be taking them every single day or should we take them for a few months then have a break? Is it better to take multiple different supplements in the morning or the evening? Or is that dependent on the supplement you are taking? Sorry if you have made said video this kind of video before. If you have, could you please link it below. I'm a fairly new subscriber. Thank you for your informative content 😊

I teach group therapy for substance abuse treatment clients and I had them do these tests during my group. It was sooo fascinating!!! During the Ragland's test several had their blood pressure shoot up by 30 points, 2 had theirs drop by about 20 points and a handful had it drop slightly. One of them was able to sprint at an incline for 2.5 minuets (on a treadmill) and his pulse returned to baseline very quickly but during the Ragland's test, he was one of the client's whose blood pressure shot up by 30 points and his pulse also shot up over 120 from his resting pulse of 68. He is fit and seems healthy but his pulse going that high just from standing seems like it might mean something. He also struggled to hold his breath for more that 20 seconds. Next week we will be going over the results so I would appreciate any additional insight you have to offer.

how to differentiate between adrenal fatigue and chronic fatigue (ebv)?
@l337g0g02 жыл бұрын
The working out one could be skewed, if you don't work out much and do some hard cardio or exercise/hiking, ETC. that could cause that days weak tiredness feelings. That 2:00am is interesting, if I ever go to beds early caused I'm feeling weak that night, that's the time i always wake up, I remember that time, cause it's haunting when you wake up at 2:00am, you know you are stressed.
