They called him a puppet of carnage, so I don't believe he was holding back or even had the ability to due to how the possession works. Narratively speaking, the newer generation would eventually surpass the older one.

Ok after watching the whole video you seriously downplayed Geto. He was just as tired as Megumi as he was fighting for days without breaks or sleep. Similarly the enemy that both Yuji and Megumi were fighting was specifically focusing on attacking Yuji instead of Megumi even in the panels you showed in all of them he was facing Yuji and in one even had his back turned to Megumi. He was mainly trying to take down Yuji first which is why Yuji took damage and Megumi did not. You could say their speed is relative at best and at worst Megumi is slower.

Ok, idk if broken ronin would see this but here are a few flaws in some of the points he brought up: 1. Megumi was fatigued while getou was not. This is false both getou and gojo had been fending off attackers for 3 days protecting the star plasma vessel and only got blindsided by toji due to fatigue. 2. The rainbow dragon was cut with a special grade cursed tool, inverted spear of heaven(literally the strongest cursed tool so far in the series besides prison realm). And yes it is inverted spear of heaven because the only other blade that toji has does not possess cursed energy and you can only kill or even damage cursed spirits with cursed energy. 3. The domain that was used by the vengeful spirit getou summoned says that it has a pact in which the innate domain cannot be broken until the question is answered. Toji also negates this with wait for it, inverted spear of heaven. 4. "Megumi took away dagon's domain sure hit, so he'll be able to do the same to the vengeful spirit". What you don't mention is that megumi while doing this was immobile and had 3 first grade sorcerers protecting him. Geto on the other hand would still be able to attack while megumi is trying to escape the domain. 5. When geto came in close to toji he should have been able to take the cursed spirit but it didn't work, and if you guessed correctly this time then we are 3 for 3. Inverted spear of freaking heaven.

Even if you take in account to what you said about megumi's feats being viable, megumi is simply outclassed by geto who's ability naturally gives him a bigger arsenal than megumi who only has 10 shikigami (though he could only 9 out of those 10).

There is a reason why 10 shadows is a elite technique. Each of his shikigami at max outclasses your normal fodder shikigamis. Also, mahoraga has a sword litearlly crafted out of reverse curse. So, yeah... Non curses might be some kind of threat, but even special grade curses are fodder compared to him. He can litearlly one shot rika. Even sukuna says that he could have been damaged by that sword, if he weren't in itadoris body atm

@@Apostle_47mahoraga isn’t a win con, it’s a tie, also Geto doesn’t use shinigami he uses a multitude of special grade curses, also also megumi doesn’t have the bull, tiger, or deer who are the strongest in his arsenal, also also also if this is megumi from shibuya do that he has optimal feats he doesn’t have orochi which leaves him with totality dog, which is his only good option, but gets outclassed by any special grade Geto has, it was only able to kill the special grade because finger beaters are trash and it was caught off guard due to megumis domain (which he wouldn’t be able to use without Geto countering with a special grades domain) then he has nue, which barely damaged kamo, so it isn’t doing anything, max elephant, which Geto is fast enough to avoid from falling on him which is it’s only use, and rabbit escape, which would get countered by an AOE spirit that Geto would undoubtedly have out of his hundreds, so it only comes down to the dog, who might be able to keep up with one special grade, meanwhile Geto and another special grade jump and kill megumi in under 30 seconds

Honestly, Rainbow dragon and that scissor curse stomp all of Megumi's Shikigami. Geto was Special Grade for a reason, he had a large power gap that a Grade 1 cannot close.

@@khulmach9662 There was a diagram that showed Geto was a Grade 1 and it's shown and stated that none of his spirits at the time were above grade 3 Unless you honestly believe rainbow dragon(a grade 3) has tougher skin than Hanami, a special grade, divine dog is clapping him, and the vengeful spirit had a shittier version of Megumi's domain. It didn't have a barrier or a guaranteed hit, given how Megumi's domain can at least last against the complete domain of a special grade, I believe Megumi can overpower the domain

@@thatguy8841 I don’t know if you’re referring to the diagram on ch 73 (since that’s the only diagram I can think of), but the diagram doesn’t state that none of his cursed spirits were above grade 3. The diagram shows that Geto was around grade 1, and if the cursed spirit is 2 or more grades lower than he can just take it without conditions. He can still take spirits that are higher than grade 3, he just has to fulfill certain conditions like defeating them, etc. So the scissor spirit and rainbow dragon are definitely higher than grade 3, at the very least semi grade 1.

Teen geto had been fighting for at least two straight days before his confrontation with Toji that was the whole point of the arch, plus Toji was obviously holding back against megumi as well because he cannoncially recognized him and was probably somewhat nerfed from the reincarnation to begin with, I also think that Geto being able to react to on guard living Toji and catching him with a curse as well as getting a foot behind toji before he could react put him way above megumi in speed, this is consistent with the narrative of the show as Megumi is considered to be a rare genius due to his status as a second grade sorceror when Geto even back then was considered to be one of the two strongest even relative to the realm of special grade. The reality of the situation is that Rainbow dragon and the Vengeful curse stomp every single one of Megumi's Shikigami before they can react and even if he can all he could do is summon Mahoraga which is debatable wether it could be interupted at all to begin with and even then Mahoraga isn't a win for megumi. In conclusion the best Megumi can get is a tie no matter what, Special Grade > 2nd Grade or even 1st Grade by a mile

the level of misinformation in the comment section is awful, that and this video down play both characters (even more so geto) to the ground. it would benefit everyone to go do a reread or fact check. heres some Proof-read info for free: 1. toji cant exercise curse spirits, BUT he can with cursed tools (i.e Spear Of Heaven, and a cursed blade) 2. the cursed blade toji wields has yet to have its effects divulged but we know that it is strong enough to cut through rainbow dragon scale AND its EQUAL in value to Playful Cloud. This isnt just some ordinary broad sword folks, it is the same one mai made using her cursed energy for maki. both rainbow sword and playful cloud are SPECIAL GRADE WEAPONS worth 500,000,000 yen. I respect your assessment by my thing is that you neglected to discuss Getos real strength. His CT. U mainly focused on their physical stats while in reality that’s not their main fighting style. And correct me if I’m wrong Geto was also fatigued. Toji when he fought Geto gad to resort to using the inverted spear of heaven to break through the shell of the rainbow dragon. And I don’t believe that their arsenals are equal as you stated. Geto’s CS manipulation is much more diverse as he automatically has full access to every CS he controls. Yea it’s gonna be easier to scale Megumi because he had much much more feats but we can rely on statements. Seeing since they were the strongest even in their teen years that would mean they were stronger than ppl like the younger Naobito Zennin, or Principal Yaga. And I don’t think this Megumi is stronger than them. This is a bit weird just based off teen geto not having enough showings to get a full view. While teen geto was protecting the vessel you could argue he was gassed out or near exhausted already. I feel like this whole video was just a massive downplay of Geto and the title of special grade. Megumi is a better strategists but he is just not on the level of special grade and his technique is inferior to cursed manipulation. Mahoraga is a threat but the fight itself isn't Mahoraga vs Geto. It's Geto vs Megumi, and so all Geto would need to do is stall enough time in order to kill Megumi which I believe he is more than capable of doing with all of his curses. On the other hand I also believe that Geto has a real chance to kill Mahoraga depending on how many powerful curses he has, and their abilities. I also think it would be crazy to assume that Geto doesn't have multiple curses with domains or simple domains so personally i'd say that Megumi's shadow garden isn't a big factor either.

Sure, Megumi canceled Dagon's hit in his Domain Expansion, but he needed the help with Maki, Nanami, and Naobito. If he was all alone against Dagon, Megumi wouldn't last long. Besides, if Megumi does use his Domain, he will need to lead Geto to an enclosed space. And Geto was half killed by Toji, sure. But he was exhausted as he was fighting for days. As for Megumi, he didn't last as long as Geto during his fight with Toji, the best thing he did was actually dodge his attacks, exhausted after he used the Domain.

Look, I'm not saying Megumi beats geto, but gojo pre awakening isn't that impressive. He only has access to a manual neutral limitless and blue, meaning he doesn't have automatic limitless, RCT, red, purple, or a domain expansion. This is exemplified by the fact that pre toji, geto and Gojo were both grade one. They weren't special grades yet. Seeing as Megumi pretty comfortable beats people like Reggie and nanami and is comparable to yuji in overall skill(they have different strengths), Megumi is most definitely also grade one. There are obviously levels within each grade, but still, Megumi and teen geto are both at grade 1 levels of strength. I don't think it's an easy fight for either of them.

The only thing I take issue with is giving Megumi the durability advantage considering the nature of the attacks that Geto and Megumi took being very different. Megumi has only ever withstood blunt force trauma whilst Geto got sliced and dice by one of the strongest characters in the series. A Special grade sorcerer losing to megumi is just wild to me. We know that Vol 0 geto's physical strength and speed is comparable to yuta and probably scales above him, since he was pressed to use rika and unleash his full power. Using teen geto's fight with toji isn't fair to gauge the strength of geto and his curses imo, the dude was just a monster, and you also didn't mention the fact that his weapons played a big part in beating geto. Divine dog's feats are nothing compared to toji, nothing indicates that geto's cursed spirts can't deal with it. I think seeing Vol 0 geto and taking the story portrayal into account puts Geto over megumi with ease. instead of massively downplaying geto for the lack of feats.
