My Father left i was 4 yrs old...And i never said the word daddy again....I waited for him to come through the 🚪 but no trace of him.And when i turned 27 my cousin called me and told me he passed away. His sister told her not to tell my mom and her kids...We weren't invited to the funeral nor mentioned in the obituary...My mom was married to him with 7 children but we were forgotten by him and that side of the family....If Jesus didn't save me and help me to forgive i don't know where I'd be...Only grace and mercy💚

Bottom line, every man wants peace in their home. A woman wants peace too. But she needs to feel secure to have the peace in her heart that she can give to her man. The relationship will not last if there is no peace for the man or security for the woman.

I just did. And this man is a teacher of false doctrine, and I have no emotion about it other than to do with the Bible says: 2 Timothy 4:2 “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. This man contradicts what the holy Bible says a man should do in relation to his wife in relation to God. Instead of preaching the Bible, this man makes excuses for the sinful husband rather than reprove him of his sins and preach the Bible.

Then you’re the problem, because it’s all about you. Peace comes from God that’s the ultimate peace you can have. And respect is earned, so what you truly want is a woman allowing all of your insanity to take place in ya’lls home and not say anything. So when you’re confronted you get defensive because most men feel , I’m a man I can do what I want. When you get married it’s a 3 person relationship God you and your wife. And that’s why most relationships don’t work because they don’t have God in them.

I had been looking for my father for years and come to find out he was living down the street from where I worked. I worked at the hospital for 5 years. Lately, he has been heavily on my mind. I looked out my kitchen window and saw a beautiful cardinal. He wouldn’t leave. He stayed playing in the yard. It made me feel so happy inside. The last time I seen a cardinal was with my dad the first day I met with him. I believe that was my father. ❤️❤️🌹

Some men are not willing to put in the work to go to a therapist or bring their unhealed wounds to Jesus for Him to heal. I agree with bishop and I as a Army combat veteran who has had to endure some of the most rigorous training in the world and been deployed to a foreign country will say this in short it s not that men don t want to stay but many women in America understand that I as a man have a spirit which means I'm alive and well and they also understand that I have a body which provides protection, procreation, problem solving and provision, but somewhere along the way women have forgotten that we men also have a SOUL, which means I want to be respected and appreciated for my efforts. We need to stop making excuses for men leaving and start telling men to stay or at least tell them no matter what the issue is with the mom they still need to be there for the child. Courts can take care of the mom "not letting them" so that's not an excuse either. Men flee freely but the mom is stuck with all the responsibility, in most cases. Moms are tired and would like a few minutes of peace when they get home from work too but they don't get it because Dad is gone! There are no breaks for the parent who stayed with the responsibility.

I don't believe most men blame either. Some simply don't have what it takes to endure the relationship and all that's required. In some situations the woman aid in him leaving. The hardest thing I did was to leave because my marriage was toxic. I didn't want my kids to see their parents emotionally apart and arguing all the time. My kids live with me because it was to much for her. We coparent together but she can't handle the pressure all alone. My ex lives in my house. I pay the mortgage. My kids and I live in another city. I left her and our kids came with me. I had more peace at work than at home. I'm happily remarried now. My kids love their mom and they respect their stepmother.

I had a really hard time stomaching this conversation. So many of the things you said men had to deal with and endure are the same things we struggle with. We struggle with things done to us at work, we struggle with what happened to us as children and adolescents, we struggle with maybe not being criticized but struggling to be appreciated. I feel a lot of skirting around the responsibility that men have in their roles. We are expected to me mothers, providers, nurturers and partners who pour into others. We feel just as misunderstood as men. Certainly having compassion for men is necessary but please stop acting like women aren’t dealing with any of the issues y’all deal with. Regardless, our role and our job goes on.

Amazing conversation! Excellent points. I agree with them all. I would also, however, like to see perspectives on “Why women are physically and mentally desolate”. The difference with women/mothers is we can’t leave. No matter the situation, we are often forced to be resilient. In church, I often see/hear segments on how women should treat men and flex their styles to accommodate their male partner. Very rarely, do I see teachings on how men can heal, embrace responsibilities, and understand their female partner. It requires understanding on both ends, a point that was not missed in this amazing conversation…but a point that I feel we need more of, as Christ wants the entire Family unit to thrive.

This is really good! When you pick and choose a time to wait until your emotions are not in it, jt also allows you to communicate clearly and precisely. Many times if we communicate when our emotions are on a roller coaster ride, we can easily slip into sin. The scripture even tells us it’s ok to be angry but we should be careful we don’t sin when becoming angry. Many people will often speak words in a heated moment and what they speak out of their mouth isn’t loving, caring or of characteristics of the Holy Spirit. @ Roland Brown - Agreed!! Others have mentioned the factual issue of specifically, black families and absentee fathers etc and one of the KEY things, we all MUST keep in mind is that, there ARE many men and women who grew up in broken homes and without a father or father figure, YET they HAVE gone on to be successful and that IS by choice. But men, who have never learned or are trying to learn that they DO NOT have to be a product of their environment, have a much more difficult time finding themselves and knowing who they truly are and what they CAN become. A lot of people cosign to the illusion that men are always strong, not supposed to show emotions and they're not supposed to cry. Fact is, if we take gender out of the equation one will see that, all human beings possess Emotions, regardless of how they are displayed and NO ONE should be judged, for how they handle "life" because everyone was NOT awarded the same tools to do so!

I wasn't bitter because I let him see our son whenever he wanted even when he only called twice a year. I gave him child support money back from every check. Some men are just sorry. I have been married for 20 years and my husband respect me because I respect myself. I say this to to say you(TD Jakes) can not but everyone's situation in one basket. All men don't leave because of a women and her brokenness, some leave because they are Freaking jerks. Their are some horrible broken men out there just like their are some horrible broken women out their. Sometimes there are no conditions that drive a man away except for his selfishness.

@@stayreal5083 That's a lot! These are the ones where the conversation would be lovely. I'll do my best...I don't dispute that some dudes just bounce, I don't think Pastor Jakes would either, it's the truth. I think the point of the explanation was to show that neither should all men be lumped together in assuming that because he is not amongst his family, that it is always because of a shortcoming of his. Sometimes the issues that or (circumstances) that arise from a woman that has certain instabilities or insecurities of their own creates circumstances where a man can't exist as a man. He has to leave because if not, your situation happens to the man except the kids leave him in terms of lack of respect. They see him backing down from argument because anything he says or suggests comes with one and eventually just like in your case the kids lose respect because he isn't showing any for himself. Then you create the present/absent father. Stay in the room at the family cookout type. This imbalance we have goes both ways it just seems that when it is pointed out how we on our side are effected and by what activity it seems to be greeted with such shock or defense. I think all that was intended to be shown was that the tag of deadbeat can't just be automatically applied to a man that isn't in the household or is or is not seeing his kids and that some of the possible reasons outside of just being a sorry representation might be surprising but are also very real.

You truly don't study and show proof to get to know GOD for self . So your going against GOD'S word that a woman can't be a preacher or a pastor or a bishop 🤔. Your so called best bishop TD JAKES is nothing more than a wolf in sheep clothing. Why he is stealing from the congregation with the old testament of TITHING. Unbelievable I stress again that it's not my word it's GOD'S word that a woman cannot be a pastor . You see man chooses but GOD appointes I suggest that you study and show proof to get to know GOD forself the SPIRT will lead you to truth 🙏 .Not man because man be twisting the word to exalt himself .So many in the church praises the created preacher than the creator himself .Your best bishop said that his church can coexist with a gay church that's blasphemy. If you want nothing but sound doctrine of the word of GOD you should listen to The scripture man . This man of GOD is KEVIN LA EWING. GIVE this brother an ear you did for TD JAKES. LISTEN minister KEVIN LA EWING is truly truly a man of GOD .WHEN n IF you decide to give him an ear have your Bible with you . He will show and teach you about TITHING and many more topics that you were taught wrong ot had never been taught. All I ask for is a response if you gave this brother an ear .You can reconnect with me I'm your brother in CHRIST. 😇🕊

Good analogy "I don't like your dress, you hear I don't like you". Perfect 👌. Biggest problem in relationships is miss communication

He reminds me so much of my dad… the way he talks to her. I miss him so much. The value in what he says. There’s nothing like your dad. 💗😥

Bishop TD Jakes is the 🐐 Men understand men and women understand women. It’s the two people that choose to live one another that stay together. Once you choose self, or pride that’s when the man leaves

The first victory being "not quitting" is great. If he doesn't try to do better his not quitting by making everyone else miserable should not be the same.

That’s what’s missing we over complicate relationships when we don’t seek God first and let him lead us it…a lot of times that alone will alleviate the difficulties that can be avoided in relationships
