I went no contact with my ex, and now he's blowing my phone up. Tues was my Bday, and he called several times, and I didnt answer. I text him " Thank You ". He then called back and left a msg that he wanted to take me to dinner this weekend for my Bday. I text him I'd think about him. Im over it, and not because there's anyone else, its just the way things ended. It wasn't cool and I feel like he disregarded my feelings. Had to fix nyself, and now that I have, Im not sure I want him back!

Tomison, I experienced this over a two year long distance connection. We fell in love in absence of each other, but he has not been very good at communicating and now he is saying he is trying to transfer to a job near me all of a sudden. I can tell you from my experience that means a man wants you to know he wants to be a part of your life, even if he can’t right now. It’s a place holder phrase, not a bad thing, it’s actually sweet. Be grateful but also keep living your life and see if he can bridge the gap. If I can give you some hope-for two years I had this guy hold onto me long distance, and he would send me surprise texts like that you wrote. I was open and also focused on myself, but I guess in the background he was planning on transferring jobs to get closer to me. So while he was texting me “place holder phrases”, he was also seriously working on moving closer together one day too. Hope that helps! Sounds like you got a guy who genuinely wants you in his life, and wants you to know he isn’t forgetting about you even if you guys are at a distance emotionally or physically right now.
