Yeah I also just started to realize it's time for me to change my approach. I might not want to go 100/0 but I never did prioritize finances other than not wanting some guy who lives above his means. Well and that bit me in the butt. 4 long term relationships ended with me always ending up realizing that I was giving more / compromising more than my partners. All of them ended because was not appreciated the way I deserved. And with my last one I did not even realize until the very last month that he did actually live above his means and was having the mindset that as long as there is still just a little money on his account that it means he is not broke while for real there were just debts amthat he did not even realize were debts. Specially in my country (Switzerland) it is EXTREMELY normalized to go 50/50 even on first dates. At latest the second. And many women ask out men, not the other way around. In fact most couples get together just based of shared friends so the guys usually basically hang out in the friend zone until something is developing - often there would not even be ANY DATES but just the two becoming physical while officially just "hanging out". I feel like I'm in the worst country in regards to dating because men here are all so shy, usually only creeps (and with that I mean those kind of people who would be very pushy and not respecting personal space etc) do approach women spontaneously in public.
