Great video Jeff. I wear suspenders with all of my suits. I love them and consider them very fashionable. Suspenders make a man look more handsome and sophisticated. One example was Larry King and the movie Wall Street (Gordon Gekko).

I am very glad to see suspenders/braces get the attention that they deserve. I usually wear them to events to stand out, subtly. When I am able to take off my suit/sport coat, I get quite a few compliments on them. I have always felt a certain sophistication wearing them. Love the channel my brother. Every time I get a pair of trousers altered at my alterations tailor, I get him to add inner buttons for suspenders. I thrifted 6 sets of quality suspenders, never looked back. Salute.

The majority of my dress trousers have buttons that are for wearing braces I wear braces also because whenever my trousers maybe an 1/2” inch or 1” inch too big I can still wear them without having any alterations done thanks for sharing!

The last time I wore suspenders was at 10 o'clock this morning. I was wearing them on a pair of midnight blue cords. I went from belts to braces more than 20 years ago. Now I wear suspenders with all of my pants - all of the time. I'm a fat old man, and belts don't work for me. With belts, my pants drop down on my substantial gut; and have to constantly pull them back up. Suspenders hold my pants in the proper position, all day long.They are much more comfortable. And they are a fashion statement - I wear RED suspenders.

I'm from the Down-under (Australia) I will only wear suspenders now as like you said it helps the Height Challenged people and I'm also a little on the fatter side, so it won't cut me in 2. Saying that I won't wear them if I'm wearing shorts, also can't stand those 2.5cm I prefer the old 4.5cm (1-3/4") wide and must have buttons. Those Gator Clips never held good on my pants, especially when I sat down. The only downside I could say with suspenders is going to the men's room, it's fine if you only wearing a jacket "BUT" if you're wearing a vest, jumper, etc then that's a whole other story.

I'm wearing suspenders right now. I like to wear high-waisted pants. Belts are uncomfortable for my body type, and I do not keep my pants up. Suspenders serve both function and style for me.

another reason suspenders are not needed is slacks are more fitted, or slim fit today. there's no need to hold up your pants like there used to be. a belt is just an accessory, and looks great if it matches a nice pair of shoes.

If LV, Christian Dior, Balmain, or any other high fashion store branded their own suspenders, had an influential young entertainer wear them, and posted multiple images on great Instagram posts and on other social platforms, suspenders would make a comeback for sure. Any product just has to be portrayed correctly and made to look like the consumer needs it for their fit. Fashion has always been cyclical.

I prefer braces. Braces are attached to the pants by buttons sewn into the pants. Suspenders are attached to the pants with clips. I find braces to be more comfortable than belts. Thanks for the history lesson.

I don't know where one would find that distinction made. My suspenders=braces are attached to buttons sewn into my trousers. I have never worn clip-on anything, including bow ties.
