JD, I’ve listened to several national Podcasters, most of the big ones, and I commend you for being the first one to give Michigan credit that is due for the players and the coaches, their DNA, and their toughness Which is and has been their program for the last 4 to 5 years. When the Talent improves On the offense next year, they will move forward . Their philosophy of tough Defense, establishing the run game, controlling the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball and Strength conditioning will continue under Sherron’s Moore. As they improve their offense they will become a powerhouse again and be a fun team to follow. Thank you for what I think is your absolute correct observation of the program. Michigan coaches totally outcoached Ryan Day and his team of coaches on Saturday. Michigan’s game plan was excellent and their in game decisions were superior to Ohio State. Your comments and analyzing the game I’ve been to best I have heard so, good job!!!

Michigan had a walk-on starting at QB and their leading receiver was a walk-on as well. Kalel Mullings was also a linebacker a few years ago. On defense they had a strong safety playing nickel and the nickel was playing the boundary corner. It was a thing of beauty and it was honestly worth watching them lose those five games just to upset Ohio State on their own field.

Ohio State needs to stop acting as if it's their birthright to win this game - maybe that would help them not choke so badly every year now. Arrogance gets you absolutely NOTHING in football except L's and misery. The idea that OSU fans, players and staff couldn't comprehend the possibility of a loss says it all. They played Michigan, not Directional Michigan.
@ammielcoats97628 күн бұрын
Problem was day trying to play mich ball instead of playing his game. Obviously running the ball at Graham and Grant was idiotic when your strengths are the wr's he barely threw it deep the secondary was mich weakness and he didn't attack it. Even wink told a coach that he was surprised they didn't attack.
@MoneyIsSilver8 күн бұрын
Go back and watch. Michigan would only rush 4 guys and keep 7 guys in coverage. Hard to pass when you're getting pressure with 4 guys.
@ammielcoats97628 күн бұрын
@MoneyIsSilver true but it was times osu oline did a good job in pass protection and j.smith was double covered majority of the game. Your telling me chip and day aren't smart enough to scheme those wr's open?
@MoneyIsSilver7 күн бұрын
@@ammielcoats9762 I guess they aren't, but its also that Howard gets rattled from Um pressure - he's no Miller Moss, and he's not as quick as Dillon Gabriel. I would argue that he was throwing worse than Warren.
@ammielcoats97627 күн бұрын
@MoneyIsSilver Miller moss is basically a slightly better Davis Warren however I think day was calling those plays trying to prove HE'S tough running up the middle? Day has done it before before kelly came. I mean howard didn't throw the ball great but he also didn't throw it that bad especially that 2 minute drill before half time so that's a excuse.

But still beat the #1 offense and defense in college football, #2 ranked team in thier crib! Why? Because Michigan is just TOUGHER on both sides of LOS. They play BULLY BALL because of Michigan's culture of toughness which is why many of the top ranked 4 and 5 stars want to go to Michigan! OSU had better athletes and the best team $$$ can buy. But they are SOFT because their coach Crying Ryan Day is SOFT and until OSU toughens up they will always be SOFT. SOFT teams don't win rivalry games, Big 10 championships or National Championships. The TOUGH Teams do... The Team. The Team. The Team! Next year at the Big House will be total domination AGAIN with our #1 ranked recruit Bryce Underwood!!! It will be 5 straight!!! Guaranteed!!! Moore is not just going to go buy talent. He’s looking for good players at need yes. But he’s going to go get players that fit the culture of toughness. He looking to build upon, not just plug gaps. Example. UM receivers are not the highest skilled, but they will block their a$$es off down field. OSU? Their Ferraris were often times not working hard enough to get open. “Less skilled” UM DB’s literally knocking them down off the line.
@MoneyIsSilver8 күн бұрын
It was definitely a talent win. Michigan has one of the best defenses in college - definitely the best D line - but they've been put in bad spots all year with constant 3-n-outs from their offense. Bottom line: OSU couldn't move the ball, and Howard got rattled. Mich stuffed the run and got pass pressure with 4 guys, and put all their LBs into zone coverage - stuffing the pass.
@JesusisLord7568 күн бұрын
It was not a talent win, osu is better in almost every position, we won bc we wanted it more

That O-line made progress in the last two weeks and really helped pave the way on the ground against OSU. Warren had time to throw too. He's just not very good, unfortunately.
@MoneyIsSilver7 күн бұрын
@@JesusisLord756 Everyone who says that, seems hyper-focused on WRs. Michigan is better at almost every linemen position than OSU. We have better TEs. Our LBs are as good, if not better.

@@freeheeler00 I think he's just under-developed. He's got a nice touch to the ball and great accuracy, but tries to force things at times. He has to work on his footwork. If he had started as a junior and was into his 2nd year as a starter, he'd be pretty good by now.

The OSU defense shut the the michigan offense down 20 times in the red zone, OSU missed 2 field goals, and michigan was gifted 10 points by bad throws by howard, he looked way off ever since he took that huge hit. I just dont see how you see a a 7-5 team who won by 3 points because the defensive line was able to put pressure on howard all day with OSU losing 2 huge key players on the Oline means some young kid is walkin in next year and just fixes every issue for them? Now looking back OSU beat 2 top 10 teams, Michigan again loses all of the stars to the NFL, 2 Dlinemen gone, DBs gone. were are these skill players magically coming from? I saw OSU march down the field until the hit on howard, I saw 2 great defenses fight, I just dont see how you come away from this 1 bad offensive game and say, Michigan is surging! scored 13 points 7 of those points gifted. Alsi when OsU was throwin all over michigan theres 2 penaltys one on J smith for being talked out if bounds and a coach for michigan pushing a 19 yr old kid like wtf? Thats sucess?
