Its not too late lol Russia has a gained a total of 14 kilometers in offensive advances in Ukraine. That Includes Bahkmut and the entire frontline across the last 2 years. They are completely incompetent. If we had just given the Ukrainians everything they need form the beginning, this war would be over and they would have pushed them back into Russia. There is still plenty of hope for Ukraine. If Russia were capable of capturing Ukraine, they would have done it in the first weeks of the invasion when they were on the outskirts of Kiev. They are further from success than they ever have been. Sure, Ukraine has had it's issues, but Europe really has really stepped up where USA has failed to, and has been providing them with all kinds of help over the last 6 months. The problem with that is, these countries cant give the level of aid we can. But ya, its not too late. The only time it will be "too late" is when Zelenksy is in the hands of Putin. As long as Zelensky lives, Ukraine has a fighting chance. He is not willing to surrender, and has proven he will continue the fight until Ukraine is free, or he is dead.

Viewed from outside, it is a remarkable turnaround by the Speaker. The question is, is it a genuine re-think on his part, or is it the result of Trump back peddling from alignment with the far right sector of the GOP. One would like to think that Mike Johnson is a genuinely good man who has rather suddenly discovered the wayward course of the MAGA faction and wants to make amends. One would certainly like to think so. It also raises the question as to the nature of the Mar - a - Laga small talk! Was it the taking of instructions, or was it the flexing of muscles. Johnso may very well have taken the gamble of his life, the facing down of Trump and the retention of the gavel on a more pragmatic basis. Whatever the position may be, it is very interesting.
