-Pest resistance: Mint has natural pest-repelling properties that make it resistant to many common garden pests. This means that you don't need to worry about pests damaging your plants.
-Propagation: Mint is easy to propagate from cuttings, which means you can easily start new plants from your existing ones.

-Aromatic properties: Mint's strong aroma makes it a popular ingredient in teas, drinks, and recipes. It can also be used as a natural air freshener or to repel pests.
-Digestive aid: Mint is known to aid digestion and soothe upset stomachs. It can help relieve symptoms of bloating, gas, and nausea.
-Respiratory health: Mint's natural cooling properties can help alleviate symptoms of respiratory problems such as asthma and allergies.
-Oral health: Mint's antibacterial properties make it a great natural remedy for bad breath and dental problems. It can also help prevent tooth decay and gum disease.
-Skin health: Mint can help soothe and cool irritated skin, making it a popular ingredient in skincare products. It also has natural anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce acne and other skin problems.

The part about mint spreading is the most important! That stuff will take over your entire flower bed or garden in a single season. I yanked all of mine out because of how invasive it was.

I am not a beginner Gardener and have always grown my mint in containers because of this. But I'm actually debating letting the mint take over my yard on purpose and I'm looking for legit reasons that I actually should not....

You will have mint everywhere unless you put it in a pot. Even then it’ll still get everywhere. The only reason you should be planting this is when your lease is up on the house and you want to mess with the landlords gardens. Because everyone hates landlords
