I was a huge boot nerd. But after years and years of meddling with tungsten powders, powerspines, adaptive studs, pass pads, strike zones, acc, flyknits, etc. on one faithful day i found mizuno. At first it was ignitus' mukaiten pad that caught my attention. But then i realized for a boot full of gimmicks, it feels absurdly comfortable. Then i tried the classic morelia. And it was game over. Never go back to the expensive western top grades that broke just after 2 games. Hands down the pinnacle of all football boots.

Over the years, I tried them all, cause I´m more of a leather guy. Did some secret escapes, but always returned to leather. My first "good" leather boots were the Adidas Predator "Ballack" gun-metal grey. Then had some further Predators, some Puma Kings, and alternative Copa Mundials for the "Aschenplätze" in Germany, clay grounds, and some other boots, but I always tried to stick with cangaroo leather, if my budget allwowed it. When I tried out my first Mizuno Neo MDs , it felt like a blessing from heaven for my feet. You sure have to get the correct lenght at first, but the width is always adapting. The feel is amazing, and the support of the sole on pressure of a heavy shot is sufficient. Turning support of the sole is excellent, without the danger of twisted ankles. Durability is one issue though, because I don`t happen to play on this fine english grass surfaces that often, the glueing takes it toll. Never had any of the "Japan" models, but the NEO MDs from Mizuno, for me, 10 out of 10.

In addition to my prior comment, I us some Nike Tiempo VII academy AG , to give the Mizunos a pause from time to time, to dry off, or prevent to much tear and wear on these worse ground conditions...also cleaning regulary and waxing with some beewax helps prolonging lifetime, that is the case with an leather boot though :-)

The studs are conical so you can use them on AG as well. Also they have some turf/AG options but not in the top models.

But you're wrong about the stud length, it's not shorter on the current generation Legend AG-pro or on Vapor 12 pro AG compared to Mizuno. Just measured it, sorry for the trick question ;D Just wanted to know have you actually tested Mizuno, since they don't have too long studs on modern AG and have no stud pressure.
