I was at the Minneapolis show! He did in fact play DNM 12 times. I was kind of annoyed after 4 or 5 times but eventually I just went with it and jumped in the mosh pit. Felt like a fever dream

I can only imagine!! Thanks for the confirmation!

yeah, saw him in MLPS. 12 times for DNM!! Diehards stuck around, but after I would say the 8th time some people left to the exist but was an amazing experience!

I can't imagine the strain a tour like this puts on an artist, I'm praying he's still got this level of energy for his sydney show next month

Cool video. Agree with everything you’re saying. Only one bit of constructive criticism is that watching on my TV I had to keep turning it up and down as you were quiet and the music video examples were a lot louder. But still watched it all :))

Oeee thank you so much for that! Will keep an eye on that for the next vid. And thanks for watching!!

I was also kind of disappointed by the energy in Amsterdam. A lot of the crowd seemed to be more casual listeners. Many of them weren't singing along which made it a bit awkward. It might also be a cultural effect? I feel like Mk.gee's music is VERY American and probably resonates more with an American audience. I still loved the show and had a great time. Candy also my favorite moment. I swear I almost shed a tear. I stayed after the show and got to meet both Mike and Zach. They were both really nice and signed my vinyl.
@benmills9411Ай бұрын
I do think it was more cultural than anything with European crowds. I would class myself as an absolute fan boy but I was more watching at that gig more stunned and just geeking out on the sound then I was screaming to the songs . It was the same for his first London show at the start of the year , everyone’s respectfully vibing and when he finished it was a massive applause.
@SagidCarterАй бұрын
Yeah I mean I already knew how important the energy of a crowd is. But because I had another show to compare it to it was a bit more noticeable. Amsterdam wasn’t terrible but if anyone has the chance to see Mk.Gee in the US… TAKE IT!
@SagidCarterАй бұрын
Great point as well. The Brits especially are known music purists. I do prefer a more enthusiastic audience but you never know what you’ll get when buying the tickets..first world problems haha
@benmills9411Ай бұрын
@@SagidCarter Yepp absolutely a must to see, I’ve seen him three times and man it’s honestly such an experience
@benmills9411Ай бұрын
@@SagidCarter yhhh British crowds are hit and miss but that just depends on the genre to me. But this in no way takes from the performances . I think as long as you yourself gets lost in the music then that’s all that matters
@isallaneousАй бұрын
attended the Amsterdam show, and one mindblowing thing is how a solid 70% of the people who went into the venue (myself included) went directly to buy the merch. goes to show how passionate the fans feel about his artistry. agreed that the energy of the public felt just a tiny bit weak, but me and my bf were losing our minds and crying regardless whoops…. ps u the luckiest gal on the 🌍!

Truth be told, Americans are much more passionate about music than Europeans. This video kind of relieves my fomo for missing the Amsterdam show, despite having tickets...

4:06 its so crazy how so many people say the "changes everyday" ab their favorite song from him to 6lack to my friends lol . I wonder how much of that is seeing him live too bc Ik Mike has said in interview that the live show is the pinnicle/best showcase of the song. I know a lot of ppl didn't get breakthespell until live lol
@SagidCarterАй бұрын
Omg yes! Hearing Candy live played a HUGE part in becoming one of my favorites. After the Amsterdam show How Many Miles has been ON REPEAT. I actually loved breakthespell from the beginning! What has become or is your favorite?

Woww the thing that you said about DNM was so true! I felt like that was the reason he performed it 3 times, since he knew people were sleeping on it. He's definitely onto things that we are not onto.
