Kyun be? Metro is unfeasible here. Leopard ke liye banaoge Kya Metro? Innsan tog dono tunnel ke end pe rehte hai. Line 4 is on thane mulund side and some other line in dahisar borivali. Line 4a makes the connection between these 2 lines. Granted Metro circles the Sanjay Gandhi national park so it will be a longer journey to go from one place to another. But there will be no traffic jams on Metro so it will always be on time. So it doesn't make sense to make a parallel metro tunnel just to cut down on travel time if both the points can be reached via metro using a route that passes through populated areas. Agar tunnel banaoge toh sirf dono end pe log chadenge utrenge metro se. Profitablity chodo, ye toh monorail jaise unsustainable project ho jayega. Metro needs to pass through crowded areas to break even/at least recuperate the maintenance costs of the metro project.
