On that very day outside Bomas was full with buses that ferried goons to the venue from the slums. The big mistake Morara did was to accept being allowed to enter Bomas minus his security details. Next thing he unknowingly found himself seated in a corner somewhere surrounded by goons with no one to protect him and this was the mission of the government side. If Raila's top 2 counties had the same turnout as Ruto's top 2 counties, he would have won cleanly. But many of Raila's supporters didn't show up. Piut differently, the margin was close enough that a weather event on voting day would have changed the outcome.
