I've seen men try to defend this by saying, well those women are just the ones we want to have sex with but the modest ones are the ones we want to marry. But we don't want to be the wife whose husband can't stop looking at other women because he settled for someone he's not attracted to. Fortunately my husband doesn't seek out those pictures to like. He only clicks like on the photos of our friends, and I know his heart so I'm good with that.

Men's eyes are over sensitized with porn, music videos, and even regular movies and shows. Woman are over sensitized through their imagination with the stories, dramas and books. Both are given this illusion of how relationships are suppose to work and end up with the wrong person due to this illusion. Modesty and real masculinity is hated by this world and it should remind us that Jesus was also hated by this world. We don't belong to this world. Like the one guy said, "I'm enjoying the game, so I'm not looking to get out." Perfect representation of this world versus good men and woman. We belong to God not this world. But I'm beginning to see now how my modesty has protected me from energy vampires and potential players. Yet every man I dated was manipulative and a cheater except for my now husband. My issue was not modesty or lack there of, but lack of self respect and boundaries. I was raised to expect very little from a man, like in my home country he's a good man if he doesn't beat you without cause, and he doesn't parade his side piece to maintain your honor. I thought I was having high standards by just expecting a man to be faithful only to me, no drug and doesn't beat me 😂

Men pay attention to and pursue women that are not modest because that's what they like, are attracted to and value. Pay attention to what people do and not what they say. That's how I know the Manosphere is a bunch of grifters and liars. A lot of them are Gen X. I'm Gen X too. It's true that men pay attention to modest women when they want to "get out the game". They never want to get out the game. They get pushed out the game because they are too old. Even though I'm the same age there's not much I can do with these men either. They have complicated families and aren't where they should be in life because they spent their energy "in the game". Besides that, a woman with modest morals is likely to reject a man that's been sleeping around with dozens, if not hundreds of women for three decades.

Something I have noticed from some modest women however is that they dress like senior citizens and you can dress modestly AND be stylish. I have a cousin who has always dressed modestly but she always looks good because she has a good sense of style and she most definitely isn't overlooked by men. I have another cousin who dresses like a senior citizen and at 30 years old has never even been on a date. So ladies it's okay to dress modestly but figure what colors suit you best and buy nicer, better fitting clothes if you want to attract a husband. You want your future husband to desire you and wake up everyday thanking God that he chose You, not wondering if he could have done better.

Senior citizens are often the most well-dressed☺. We have to ask ourselves what programming media/fashion/movies has done on us to deem certain styles as "senior citizen style". Perhaps the world has been so s£xualised that "modesty" is also demanded to be low-key s£xy, i.e "covered but completely visible curves as if the clothes were sewn on"? In my country, if you cover your head, you´re called "grandma" or "servant", because the elite no longer dresses modestly and only poor people cover. In the olden times, it used to be the opposite, as only the affluent could afford fabric. So you see a bunch of elderly women showing their tummies and backs, while the poor look really decent with layered clothing. So it´s very much about perception and fashion brainwashing.
@crc54302 ай бұрын
@Khwaab Could be but we are in the 21st century and fashion does change and has always changed throughout history. However, I've seen many women pray all day for a husband and grow old without one and as an outsider I've always noticed that they simply wouldn't keep themselves well put together. Groomed hair and nails, well fitted clothes, good skin care, maintain a good diet and workout routine, these things go a long way, you don't have to show skin nor wear tightly fitted clothes. I've also noticed that a lot of "Christian" women don't exercise nor have a balanced diet and they seem to forget that gluttony is a sin and our bodies are a temple, therefore we should take care of it. The church tends to focus too much on the fashion that people wear, when they should focus on healthy living as it significantly affects their members, most "Christians" are overweight and that's a problem.

Modesty fosters respect not only for ourselves but for others as well. It embodies honor, refinement, and grace in how we dress and behave. When we are modest in our dress, speech, and actions, we focus on honoring God rather than seeking approval from others. Modesty is a heart posture. 🌷 Women who exemplify modesty are not interested in men who play games. They can see through those men and prefer to avoid them because they understand that such men are driven by lust and superficial desires. It’s a good thing not to be pursued by such men, as they are not suitable for a modest and respectable lady.

There's a really cute romance anime called "Kimi ni Todoke" and the male lead (Kazehaya) is like my "ideal" image of the kind of guy I'm looking for. Sweet, wholesome yet also not boring and someone who knows what he wants and doesn't care about being popular for the sake of giving up his beliefs. He's crushing on a girl (Sawako, the protagonist) who's basically the kind of girl/woman you're talking about in this video as well. Wholesome, sweet and kindhearted. Also kinda oblivious and awkward because she's not used to a lot of social interactions because she's been bullied as a kid, so now as a teen, she's learning to make friends. When I was talking to another girl who's also into anime about how I love this anime, she said "Oh I started it but I stopped watching because the guy is just too sweet and boring, I need some toxicity in men." And I was just like what Kazehaya isn't boring though. He's exactly the kind of guy who would be perfect for a harmonious relationship. But I guess some people are actually bored if you're not toxic. I'm also a lot like Sawako tbh and even though I really can't complain about my looks, get a lot of compliments and also put effort in the way I dress and take care of myself, I just moreso fit the cute girl trope rather than the hot girl trope, so I might also get overlooked by guys who are not looking for anything serious. I think it's my vibe and my face, I very much have a lot of neotonous features that make me very friendly and innocent looking. Additionally I have a higher pitched voice lol. But I gotta say, it's a blessing, I feel like going down the cute girl route can save you from a lot of troubles because most of the time, the f-boys will stay away from you in the first place. Some still try of course, but it's much less often. Usually, the kinds of guys who approach me tend to be the ones who are in a time in their lives where they're looking for something serious.

My social anxiety held me back, and I let it dictate so much of my life in my youth. But during my last missionary summer trip to Japan at 19, I started to step out of my comfort zone little by little. While I can still be shy at times, I’ve learned to challenge myself to speak up and start conversations. I’ve experienced amazing and inspiring conversations! I’ve also worked on not avoiding the world-I no longer look down or try to sink into the background. I enjoy dressing modestly but still wearing simple, cute outfits that reflect my personality. I tend to get approached quite a bit, which my husband says is because of my approachable face and appearance. At 36, it’s still something I’m not entirely used to. Receiving genuine, kind compliments is always humbling, and while it warms my heart, it still surprises me. With all that said, modesty begins in the heart and is reflected in how we speak, act, and carry ourselves. PREACH!!! Modesty = Self-respect = Humility. It goes beyond how we dress, too. It's a mindset and a lifestyle. Thank you for this message. I pray both men and women hear it. So glad you escaped the Red Pill Movement. It has caused so much destruction in society along with all other movements that solicit this type of mindset and behavior. We need more voices like yours shouting from the rooftops for people to develop more healthy forms of self-love and self-respect.

Every human person deserves respect as every human person has intrinsic dignity. Some men like to excuse badly treating women they deem as loose. But _every_ woman deserves good treatment, even if she's failing. Womanhood and motherhood are sacred in their life-giving and nurturing capacity, and even if a woman is individually failing at that, she still has her dignity as a woman. I do a lot of ministry with people from the margins of a society: homeless, often also alcoholics (these are overwhelmingly men, it's easier for men to survive on the streets than for women, but it's still very hard for them, very difficult life), and one of the first things they need is not pocket money (there's plenty of social support) but to build them up emotionally, to remind them they do have the dignity and are worthy and their lives matter - very often they're so broken they don't realize that, they feel defeated. I also do ministry to s'x workers. Similar story. They are so broken and defeated by life. But God loves them too and wants them to be healed.

I like parts of this analysis. I am Muslim woman and in my religion modesty is valued. It’s actually practiced, all thanks and praise to God, alhamdulilah. Before I came into Islam I used to dress immodestly and the difference in the way people and myself treat me is something I’m so grateful. God honored woman with the commandment of modesty. In Islam women are honored that’s why we are covered. When you value something you cover and protect it. Our men also tend to have gheerah or jealousy in English. Like you mentioned it’s innate in men and this society is trying to drain the gheerah out of men these days. I invite you all to worship the one creator, the creator of Jesus, Joseph, Jacob, Mohammed, Abraham, Moses (peace be upon them all) and everything and everyone else. Do not associate partners or take multiple gods, we have one God, one Creator that we should all submit to,. The one God that all prophets called to. I invite you to read the holy Quran a book that has never been changed, the final revelation for all of mankind. 💞

Alhamdulillah. But the concept of "hayaa" (modesty) is also MUCH wider than what the English language can describe. First of all, modesty isn´t just for women, in Islam. Both genders are to be modest in language, in behaviour, in the GAZE, the thoughts and finally the clothes. It´s a wide concept in Islam. There are sadly a lot of Muslim cultures that put ALL the emphasis and the expectation of modestly only on women. This is imbalance. Even in the Quraan, before God mentioned the covering of the beautiful female body, He mentions the MALE GAZE and ORDERS the believing men to guard and lower their gaze. There is DEEP wisdom in that, but like most people...Muslims put the "weight" on women, because girls are easier to force and pressure. I hail from a country where even women in burqas get harassed, oogled etc. Why? They "forgot" to teach the sons...and only put the pressure on the girls. They deem men/boys to be "Will fail to be strong anyway". That is not Islam, but it is very much culture. Patriarchal cultures that have given up so badly on men, that they simply don´t even expect them or regard them as strong and noble enough to be able to control themselves. I say that often...that letting men "off the hook" essentially means that we think that they are so weak, that they cannot follow God´s command. Men seem to think that they´re being benefitted, and will propagate to keep it the way that only women are pressured, but...they seem to be unaware that noble men would not think this way. A noble man would guard anything that he thinks and knows will lead his soul to destruction. And he would be offended at the thought that society does not even expect him to pass the tests. I often wonder why men don´t discuss this angle? Perhaps that hasn´t occurred to them, that it is a sign of society underestimating men, yet expecting women to hold up religion all alone.
@aksoA672 ай бұрын
@ Asalamalakum! That’s so interesting! I never thought about it from the angle of society not expecting men to pass the test and men’s attitudes towards that. Thank you for sharing!!

The problem with western culture is objectification of women among indigenous people living in isolated regions like in the Amazon & Africa wearing minimal clothing as part of their traditional attire isn’t an issue coz they see nothing sexualized about it.
@veronicahaney60052 ай бұрын
yeah but modesty isnt just bc of societal and cultural standards. we dress modestly because we are called to according to the God of Abraham. If you look at African countries dominated by Abrahamic religions, the schools are filled for example with girls who dont wear skirts shorter than their knees. At the churches its the same - it may be form flattering but still the same

A woman can be modest of spirit and generous in portion, or have a high sexual shameless energy, or like to dance, or like to flirt or seduce (within a relationship too). Also adults who would responsibly guide children do exercise, know healthy cooking or nutrition or healthy living etc which correlates to healthy looking bodies, and cleanliness, etc, and experimentation with grooming etc... Also lightheartedness is pleasant if the man is expected to lift the bulk of weights, more so than grunts of sympathy

@@baloobie Gheera is also for himself. Not just for the family women. The imbalance in Muslim cultures today is that nearly ALL men have obsessive gheera for the women of the family, but FAIL to hold themselves to even 50% of that standard. If a man truly wants to be a leader....he would first apply the rules to himself, model them to the entire family and not be a munaafiq/hypocrite by ignoring all the rules that he expects the family women to adhere to. Where I come from, some men even kill their sisters/daughters for falling in love the halaal way (the man she loves not even aware), but then go out and do ANYTHING. They call that sickness "gheera", but it is far from Islam. Creating a ruckus because the sister shook hands with a cousin, while the guy has done Zinaa is just....🤯😮. That is not the way of a truly God-fearing and God-aware man, but the standard in many many cultures. It´s just like all these Red Pill men who have played the field (several fields!), yet demand to marry a virgin from a village. No self-aware man would do that, but he´d rather look to marry a woman who may also have committed Zinaa but done tawbah (as the virgin actually deserves an equally clean man who has kept himself pure for the sake of Allah). Demanding purity when one has knowingly lived a wrong life is Shaytaanic ways...not the Islamic concept of gheera. Just saying. LOTS of oppression is happening in Muslim families, where only the women are expected to follow and uphold the religion. When it comes to lust and straying....it´s like so many men don´t even want to discuss it, because they claim it is their "nature". Yet Allah swt never said that He created men to stray and to not hold themselves accountable. If that was the case, God would´ve made it halaal for men to do absolutely anything. He wouldn´t order them to lower their gaze, because He´d say "Oh, I´ve just created you guys to definitely stray". The Islamic rules of modesty, shame and accountability apply to both the genders.
