Hello Saj, thanks for sharing your thoughts. I am running a small production house here in Vienna for 39 years now and still making most of the mistakes on your list…. I think it is never to late to benefit from such clear words. Greetings!

Thank God since I've listened very little kid I'm talking 78 years old I've always had the entrepreneurial Spirit at heart. And you're a hundred percent right about film school not teaching a single thing about business; and I'm even talking about high-level not these private colleges you find on the there ads on the back of a beach at a bus stop. LOL

that's crazy you said that at 7:50 because I just quit my part time job to try and actually build a production company for myself

That scaling to fast did hit me a little. From a go pro 8 to an Sony a7s3 wasn't that fun 😁, an a7iii should have been enough for freelancing work i am doing...

I just started my production company and your video got recommended to me. All information you gave here was good and I think I will stay with your channel. Except one thing unrelated thing bothered me, why are you based in a dangerous city like Chicago? :) I ask it in a funny way.
@Filmmakingmentor3 жыл бұрын
haha well I live in the suburbs and Chicago is not as bad as they make it out to be. I have family here, so that's the main reason why I'm here.
