Great video. There are times that I think I'd like to live in Montana, then I think of the winter..........

Thank you for the positive comment! Winters are a bit rough, but they’re part of what makes Montana Montana.

(Please read this comment until the end if you are considering to move there 😊) I lived there for almost seven years. I'm not sure if I can recommend you to move there especially if you like big cities with milder weather. I felt so miserable for 6 months after I moved there. BUT, now I really miss there. No consumer taxes, no hurricanes, no traffic, no cockroaches 😂… and most of all, I miss the nicest people out there.

Thanks for your insights! There are definitely pros and cons, and it is important for people to find a town that is a great fit for them!

Wasn't the Road House restaurant once called the Pine Cone ? We lived there from 1981 to 1984 and Jay and Sue were the owners of the restaurant. Jay also decorated the walls by burning wildlife scenes into the log walls inside. Am wondering if those pictures still exist . My husband and I were in business with them and we owned an Arcade next door called the Blockade Arcade in the old house next door. Anyone remember this ????

That's an impressive Montana lineage! Does all your family live in Great Falls, or are you spread out across the state?

Thinking about moving from nyc. You need to get creative about saying don't move here. Like drugs are everywhere, traffic, there's so Starbucks or something.

@@shanehaddock8976 ABsolutely love it! The weather can be a bit trying at times, but you'll get used to it. I do, however, have a few cautinary tales regarding realtors and real esate. Would cerrtainly do things differently if I had a chance to do it over.😃

@@LIVINGINHELENA Yup, weather was perfect while we moved in October, then there was that week or so of "generational cold" that we suevived pretty much intact. Met a few neighbors. Looking forward to getting out and about more come spring...

I repeat, do not move to Great Falls. Lack of activities, things to do and see, and everything is hours away. This place also has racism problems. For the sake of your mental health, stay away from Montana 🙏

Hello, thinking about coming to work in the area. Please let do tell about demographics in the area. Please and thank you.
@LIVINGINHELENA2 жыл бұрын
Hi LaKitta! I would encourage you to check out www.census.gov/ to assist with this question. They have a lot of awesome information about a number of demographics in the Great Falls area. There is also a "quick facts" bar on the right hand side. Please let me know if you have any other questions as you consider moving!

They don't tell you about the weather, no one does it bites everyone. Look up Naked and Afraid "Snow Daze", filmed not far from here. It tells the whole truth and nothing else.

Depending on the year, the winters can vary quite a bit! There are years where they are harsher (we had some really cold temperatures this year in Helena), and years where the snowfall is amazing. I think it depends on what you like and also what you are willing to tolerate. Personally, I will take a cold winter in exchange for a beautiful, not excruciatingly hot summer! -Hannah

There were a couple of Mexican people at my work in Billings, MT. They're definitely out there just like most places in the U.S. Times have changed. Probably not nearly as much as say Texas, South/South Eastern Washington State, California, Illinois/Chicago, Grand Island, NE and other small towns, South West States, etc. Currently in Sioux Falls, SD and there's a big influx of Hispanics coming in. Many at my work. Many white-hispanics too. Beautiful people in general, Latinos/Hispanics are! God Bless You ✝️ Beautiful people in every race!!!!!

Its the hub, for sure. But there is nothing here to sustain you. The Air Force base is half that population estimate and most of the available real estate had meth cooked in it, so you have to replace the soil. Other than that, most people in Montana want to secede from the Union, so soon you may not be welcome at all.

Every town has it's pros and cons for sure! There is a lot of growth happening in Great Falls, which is bringing more housing options.
