You could tell that something like this, or something even worse, would take place. It's like when you get jumpscared and your body doesn't move even when it happens. You could tell it was coming. You could see it happening. And while your brain does freak out about it, the rest of your body, the unconscious part of you, knew that it would happen. Therefore, that part of you doesn't react. And soon enough, when your brain has finally stopped freaking out, the rest of you stops reacting too.

This is a story having a sick relationship. He just markets this as 'ok' and as a probably happy story, but it isnt. Think about how messed up this story's end really is. She just did made the conciouss decision to never meet her again. Sultan says it's not about a fight, but this basically is one, if you get what i mean. This is not a soft, happy drifting away from each other. This does not, like he said "just happened". This isnt a Weather condition. This is messed up. And i feel like he's lying to himself about this.

You can have a deep connection with someone and still not ever want to be in a relationship with them. It's what I like to call the love of true friendship. I watched this video a couple of years ago... but rewatching it now hit me differently. A year and a half ago, my best friend (a girl) and I broke off our friendship, it ended in a big fiery mess. We went to the same school and our families went to the same church, so I saw her almost every day. We were really close until things started to fall apart, a disagreement here, a small fight there, until we spent more days avoiding each other than hanging out. She started hanging out with a new friend group and slowly we started to drift away. We tried to make things work out one last time a couple of weeks before her birthday. It was going really well, and it felt like old times. The day of her birthday we ended up getting into a fight and she told me she wanted to take a break from trying to fix our friendship. I agreed and we went our separate ways, one day after school I saw her hanging out with her other friends and I realized something. She was happy with her friend group; she didn't need to fix our friendship; she had already moved on. That night I sent her a message saying goodbye, that if we kept trying, we would only hurt each other again and that we should move on. Then I blocker her number and all her social media accounts. I avoided her for the last couple of months before graduation high school, and I haven't spoken to her since. Rewatching this video brought back all those memories, because we were always the super close friends who were not a couple but everyone shipped. And now we are nothing, I miss those old days...
