I like your videos on food tasting in Singapore and visits to foreign countries like Bangkok and interviews with your Japanese compatriots residing here in Singapore and foreign countries like Thailand. It gives a glimpse into the views and opinions of your Japanese compatriots about living conditions, exposure to the costs of living, tourist attractions, culture and favourite food haunts in Singapore, Japan and the foreign countries visited. I get an insight into the exposure, understanding and views. Thank you for the video.

It hard to compare a large country with Singapore since they have so much more spaces, they can have a busy city center and then lush beaches and mountains, and forests, and countryside.. and such.. while in a small country you just get a city. But this be is assuming you are Earning like a Japanese or Singaporean and spending in Thailand.. if you are Earning what a local Thai makes.. the cost of living is different.

What you need to try is homemade durian icecream from local vendors which is made from 'over' ripe durian that can't be sold and it is shiok!!

Kind of silly so many people argue what is better. Just have to look next door to Malaysia. Why do people choose to live in expensive Singapore when Malaysia next door is bigger, cheaper, better food, and has more variety?! Sure Singapore is small expensive and you can say boring. What price do pay for political and social stability, developed infrastructure, top level international standards for everything vs the randomness of a developing country? There are many "exciting" and interesting places out there. There's different kinds of people. Some just don't prefer stable and boring some like craziness and excitement even if they can afford living in a fully developed country. Some people just feel more alive living in less developed countries and some others will have nothing less than calling a fully developed country home. As much as there's people who go from developed countries to developing countries, there's more people from developing countries that want to immigrate to developed countries. You have to wonder why.

As a SGrean who has lived half my life in Sg and more than half my life in USA… While SG was “safe” but super expensive (& crowded) and I refuse to retire there (one should go around interviewing the elderly poor super skinny eat moldy bread reality)… VS living in an open countryside life besides a neighborhood full of happy retirees (yes, older folks in my hood and they either buy back into the neighborhood or have relatives buy back into the hood or build homes for their kids etc.. scenario)… I would not change a thing of the way I am living in my hood. How old retirees living in my hood is also how I want to live… They boat, ride horses on these very road my house is on… they golf and shoot their guns in their backyards (own mini gun range in backyard), they fish and hunt, they homestead and garden (own healthy foods and cut flowers of different seasons), they own their own tractors lawn mowers, kayaks and bicycles and hike outdoor activities… own BBQ on da own deck and covered porches or sunporches, shop at neighbors own mini stalls from own grown gardens or eggs / meats etc. … walk/run/bike in great natural surroundings or say hi to horses and cows… Basically even vaca if they want right at #home. Old people you know… need the bathroom close by. Nowadays delivery very common… so takeouts from restaurants is very available. While we can drive up easily and park in front of restaurants without having to pay for parking in USA (not in SG), we can get foods from all over the world if we want to eat at home. MHO But of course, there are people who lived a harder life everywhere… but I know I want to retire like my own neighbors that’s all.
