You've absolutely right. There is NO info on combining nursing and pumping online! It is so frustrating. I end up just reading info on both and trying to make an educated guess. My baby is almost 8 weeks old and while we have a fairly well-established combined breastfeeding situation I still feel like I am flying by the seat of my pants!

I’m not a working mom, but I’ve found so much value in your KZbin channel and Facebook group! Trying to navigate through all of the information available was torment, I was feeling so lost and defeated a few months ago, especially when the formula shortage started rearing its ugly head. I just had my sweet boy on the 15th and breastfeeding is going really well so far but even as a SAHM I can get busy and completely screw up my schedule. I can only imagine how much harder it is for working mamas. Thank you so much for being such a gentle and mindful teacher and guide.

I found your channel when I was on maternity leave prepping to go back to work. Definitely those unexpected late meetings that interrupt my schedule sometimes but I try my best to get my milk supply up back to normal and those late night pumps even though my LO is 10 months lol

I need thinking help. I'm a mom of 4, and my youngest is 2 months. I'm an under supplier, with IGT and a history of hypothyroid and PCOS. All my babies have been tongue and lip/cheek tied, also. New baby also has a terrible latch from a short upper lip so I have to use shields to nurse her or I get blisters. I usually use compressions to fully empty my right side, which is also my better side. The left empties itself very well, but only makes half to 2/3 as much as the right. I started exclusively pumping about six weeks ago. I've been able to easily maintain my supply this way and I produce roughly 12 oz per day, but it takes me 20-30 minutes each session and the rest of my family needs me. I've just ordered one of the cheap wearable pumps to try (I can't afford Willow or Elvie). This is my last ditch effort to keep giving my baby breast milk. Please tell me, is this worth it? Are the ounces of my milk actually making enough difference to keep using so much of my time this way? It's fun to see the milk flowing, but my nipples are always very sensitive now and it just feels like I'm spending forever pumping. Are the wearables actually able to maintain supply? Or should I cancel the order and wean off the pump?

I go back to work in 3 weeks. I will have been off for a total of 8. This is my 3rd breastfeeding and pumping journey. My oldest kids had my milk until they were 12 and 11 months without supplementation. My first journey I didn't know what I was doing and caused myself to over produce. I was obsessed with having a large milk stash. The second journey I produced just hardly enough. I was an essential worker during Covid and it caused pumping to be difficult. My job has always been supportive of my choice to pump and I will be with my baby on my lunch break so I'll pump twice at work. My least favorite are the late night/early morning pump sessions once baby is sleeping through the night. I've never been a fan. This time around I have more information, experience and tools like the content you put here on KZbin. I'm excited to make it to month 12 or beyond with this baby.

I always wished I had someone to talk to about it all. It was a very painful learning process. My baby is almost 10 months old and now I'm worried about how to go about stopping breastfeeding/pumping when I do. I struggle immensely with clogs very easily so it worries me on cutting back at all ever. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Also I’ve breastfed four babies and the best thing I’ve found for ending breastfeeding after a year is to pump when I feel engorged to get relief. (Only pumping until I felt relief) it ends up being more often at first and then slows down over time. Also cabbage 🥬 leaves for like a month seriously helped me every time

I felt this video more than any other! I’ve recently exhausted my FMLA and now I’m back to work after 7 months of breast feeding and I’m struggling to pump enough for my baby! How do I combine breast feeding and pumping! I’m so sad already that I can’t stay home with my baby and now the thought of not being able to provide enough food for him is crippling:( I’ve tried more than one kind of pump and now I’m experimenting with flange sizes but they hurt 😔 I tried supplementing him with formula but turns out he has a milk protein intolerance soooo now what?!

Hey Allison! I’m having my 3rd baby in august. With my previous kids I exclusively pumped and breastfed occasionally. So I have PISA pump that’s 4 years old and a freestyle flex that is 2.5 years old…do you recommended I purchase a new pump?

Good video but for me it’s too generic. There’s so much more I’d like elaborated about these topics that could eliminate the ambiguity. Like when you say finding a professional to seek help but don’t say what kind of professionals can help. Then earlier you said it was a question you had and was unsure of was who to go to for your issues. Good generic ideas but could have been an amazing video with some kore details
