@ 8:05 , its called a scrum/ scrummage. Its the method of restarting play in rugby that involves players packing closely together with their heads down and attempting to gain possession of the ball. The fail was that in Rugby, you have to be in contact with the ball when you "touch down". He dropped it forward before he landed so is considered a "knock on" which gives the opposing side possession.

Regarding the women's softball one. The bases were loaded. After the hit, the player on third makes it to home. The player running from first to second base got tagged out. It looks like they thought it was the third out, tossed the ball away, and started celebrating, not realizing it was still in play. The remaining two players are both able to make it to home before they notice, scoring two more runs.

Tyrone! Aussie here. In Rugby (League or Union) when they all link up it's called a scrum. It happens when the other team fumbles (knock on) so it kinda restarts from that. And unlike NFL you actually not just have to walk in the Try area (Endzone, we call a Touchdown a 'Try' you have to ground the ball too. Also unlike NFL the position in where you scored matters when kicking the conversion, as if you score a try under the posts, you kick from right in front, but the kick gets further away the more wide the try is. For rugby, in order to score a "try" (a touchdown) the player has to physically let the ball touch the ground inside the "in goal" (endzone). The dude that jumped up let go of the ball so it doesn't count.

TM - It's rugby Union...London Irish vs Wasps. At the start of the clip is a scrum. Formation of both teams forwards linked together...ball is put into the middle and they push against eachother to gain ground/posession of the ball. Kind of obsolete now. The ball is always put in crooked to the feet of your own players and it seems the scrum is used more as a way of gaining a penalty than posession. Collapsing/spinning the scrum is usually what we see in Union now! No try - In rugby you must touch the ball down over the try line with downward pressure. No downward pressure = no try!!!

That indoor soccer game is called Futsal (Footsal). It was created in Brazil. It has a World federation, actually, I think now it's regulated by the Fifa. I don't think that it's very popular outside Brazil and Uruguay, tho. There's another type of soccer that the brazilians created that it's called beach soccer. It's just like Futsal but it's on a sand field, very popular in Brazil as well and more well known on other countries, it's regulated by Fifa, has world cup and everything but none of those sports are olympic.

That softball game at the end u didnt see what was going on...The team in the field thought they had gotten the 3rd out and they thought they just won the championship game but it was only the 2nd out. The team at bat scored 2 runs to win it while the defense celebrated what they thought was game over. Probably the best clip in the video bc it wasnt just a game it was the championship.
