His second reason is also very important. We tend to ignore that most players can produce way more than they actually do if the coach gives them a chance. Some coaches won't do it because they already have other guy who can do it or just because they don't like you or your style. It's something that happens since primary school. Where you can be the 3p kid, and that's all... if you do something else that is not shooting a 3p you go back to the bench.

Family first! Euro league is somewhat easier and Barcelona is a magical place with tons of history. Also his family and his in-laws are all much closer to Barcelona than to Utah.
