Half of You don’t even know what a CVT is, and the other half doesn’t know how it has improved and how many other car manufacturers other than Nissan actually use them. Stop acting like You know what you’re talking about. You just all sound foolish. Between Me and My Wife, we’ve had 3 Nissans and 2 Infinities and have never had a single problem. Plenty others are saying the same thing, and yet people refuse to listen to those actual experiences and testimonies. You’d all rather listen to what some fleabrain like Scotty Kilmer says on his channel. That guy is worth about 10 million getting people to click on his videos and listen to Him rant. If You pay attention, he will literally contradict Himself left and right but he has so much content out there, nobody notices. Hey Nissan, here’s some free advice. Stop making vehicles that are disposable. Reliability is terrible. Back when 4 speed automatic transmissions ruled Nissan said we’re going to go to CVT because they’re more efficient. That worked for a couple years, these days modern eight speed and 10 speed automatic transmissions are way more reliable than those Jayco CVT garbage transmissions you put in your cars that expire after 30,000 miles. Yet you stubbornly stick to nothing but CVT’s in your cars. This is just one example of many. Everything Nissan has concentrated on for the past 20 years has been cost cutting and cheapening. Used to be a Dotson then Nissan fan until I saw the writing on the wall. Good luck Nissan you’re gonna need a lot of it.

Too bad. The VQ was a remarkable motor. Their older 4 cylinders were workhorses and, for a long time, the interiors on their higher end cars were very well done. The French connection, the CVT, poor electronics, the variable displacement failure to fledge, low tension oil rings and the tsunamis did them in.

Hybrids are completely overrated! The additional 8K-10K more you pay for the Hybrids doesn't come anywhere close to enough savings on gas to offset the additional cost. Then factor in more weight & less storage space often eliminating a spare tire for battery placement with a more complicated system to boot. Consumers are getting taken for a ride.
