As soon as any of the smaller teams start to take points of the old firm and make any sort of challenge then old firm will either buy their best players and not play them half the time or just unsettle the teams with bids or stories to papers saying they want to sign them. They did it to hibs and dundee united

2 teams in a 12 team league .. How many teams realistically are going to win the epl which has 20 ? Intact, its the same teams in the champions league every year so what does that tell you ?

Eddy bhoy when your counting your money do you start with the pennies or the pound , The Rangers would love to have a fraction of what Celtic bring to the table , there is no contest between the two at this moment in time , the rangers are trying once again to bring in outside money for shares but their shares aren't even worth the price of the paper that they are printed on where as The Mighty Unadulterated Glasgow Celtic have nearly 80 mill in the bank just now plus have 70 mill incoming in season tickets plus between 55 and 75 mill from the champs league and thats not taking into account ticket sales and stadium spend over 4 games which would be ball park another 12 mill , when it comes to cash in the bank after everyone is paid , Celtic are rich as f..k

When the financial bubble bursts and football gets back on a level playing field we will see different teams winning titles and doing well in Europe. We had a great league up here with 6 teams regularly winning titles and cups and doing well in Europe and we exported some of the worlds best players and managers out of Scotland at one point. Football was more enjoyable back in the 80's when wages weren't ridiculous and teams didn't have to sell their best players every season, players stayed at clubs for years and where loyal. Money has destroyed football imo because its been taken away from the man in the street and kids. Every boy in my school supported Scottish teams and not just Celtic and Rangers, we had Aberdeen, Dundee UTD, Hibs, Hearts, Motherwell, St Mirren etc and we all had the strips that teams wore for at least 2 years and a full strip was affordable for the vast majority and it was only about a fiver to get into a game and a dad could take his son/sons to a game for under a tenner. Your talking around £100 to go to a top league game now with your ticket, travel, food and drink and a new kit for your kids EVERY SEASON! at around £100 +. Its just a money grab from the fans to pay players millions, and go into any Scottish school and ask the boys who they support it will be mostly the big English teams or big European clubs.

Alex Fergusons Aberdeen and Jim McLeans Dundee Utd took 4 SPL titles off Celtic and Rangers in the early 80s and both got to European finals also! Since the 3 foriegner rule was scrapped in and satellite TV contracts arrived in the early 90s the economic gap has widened so much that Celtic and Rangers can't be caught (similar in most Euro countries e.g. Porto/Benfica/Sporting in Portugal,Ajax/PSV/Feynoord in Holland!

Aberdeen or Hibs are more likely. Sevco Rangers have done exceptional things for a new club (12 years old 👶) . But they are going the way of Gretna or Dundee (2000's era). Come on Glasgow Celtic tomorrow, we won our cups fair & with flair 🍀🍀🍀🏆🏆🏆

And I wait on other clubs fans moaning about celtic & rangers. Lets take Aberdeen & Hibs for example. They both got new american owners claiming loads and would be investing in the clubs success. Both clubs have made numerous ludicrous managerial appointments and their owners stewardship has regressed both teams to bottom 6 finishes. Both new owners talking a pile of pish and doing heehaw to forward both clubs. Sometimes you need to admit its your clubs own failure instead of taking swipes at celtic and rangers. Aberdenn DID get a euro run for the first time in years but its all too infrequent. This year Hearts and Kilmarnok will attempt europa league qualification & St.Mirren for the Conference. Its a recurring event the other clubs failing to qualify but for scottish football we can only hope they do

It’s 10 minutes from Glasgow Airport (yes, the airport is in Paisley!). We qualified for Europe this season, the first time since 1987 and it’s gonna be a helluva season after the summer xx

One champions league game income for celtic is worth more than 5 million and they have 8 games to play next season, St mirren full year turnover last year was less than 5 million .... enough said

Celtic this year will apparently get 60 mill for yhe champions league and potentially 30 million for matt orielly if they sell him we have had to make our own money as well by signing good young players like orielly van dijk and wanyama and selling them for huge profits. For years english teams were stealing good young talent from scottish football for next to nothing its about time the scottish clubs actually got the money these players are worth. Could u imagine what 5 million would be like for a team like livingstone or st mirren

Rangers where out of the league for 4 years, motherwell finished second twice and aberdeen finished second 3 times. Aberdeen could have won it but the odds where always against them
