Nice work man. Kinda bummed about the buff test being behind the paywall BUT I definitely respect the hustle. YT certainly isn't paying it's authentic creators nearly enough. Seems like the bulk of it goes to that compilation garbage of viral clips. Ughh. Also, your editing and music were on point in this one! Very nice!
@ScizGraffiti10 ай бұрын
How about this, I'll make the buff test on patreon free this time :) Yeah it's unfortunate that they haven't found ways to reward content that takes more work, but I guess that's not what people want to watch necessarily. There's no real money in it at all unfortunately. And I appreciate the feedback on the editing cause for once I tried to take some creative liberties with it and do some stuff a bit different and I liked editing it a lot more too, so I'm glad it came out a bit better too. Thanks for the support as always man!

When I was younger and always broke I used to rack dozens of those shoepolish mops. I had no money to buy good paint, so I just tagged with the shoepolish. Yes, it was buffed relatively easy, but some tags that weren’t buffed lastet quite a long time dispite only being written with shoe polish instead of ink

i like them cause they're free, but its such a headache having to refill it pretty often, and it can be too thick. You should trim the nib at the edge at angle when its fresh to prevent it scraping on the sides and making a mess. The nib tears fairly easily, so covering the sponge with fabric and securing it with a rubber band/hair tie makes it last longer and lets you use it on something like concrete.
@ScizGraffiti10 ай бұрын
Yeah good idea about triming the edges. I've found that as soon as elastics and extra fabric is involved they are more mess than it's worth but it does work I guess

Since previously commenting about your beard, I wound up trying one of these. I’ve been running an acetone thinned silver rusto fence paint in it and you were not kidding, this thing is messy af in the best way. As I’m making my tag it throws paint all around and drips like crazy, which I personally am a fan of. It’s become one of my go to paint mops for dumpsters, bus stops, and large electrical boxes. It’s def a specific aesthetic and presumably not for everyone but I can’t help having a blast every time I use it. RIP to my boots though.

Yeah if you have clothes on you aren't worried about they are a lot of fun. The caps having ink all over them bug me so much though too
@ImSoOld20078 ай бұрын
@@ScizGraffiti yeah that is an issue, mine also does that thing where it gets to the maximum point of being tight then skips back to being loose so I’ve got to turn it just enough to be tight but not enough to have it skip a groove. It makes me worried when it’s sitting in my bag that it’s gonna leak or something. Other than that it’s sick as hell.

Fun fact: 18/20mm felt nibs from bingodabber style squeezers also fit pretty good into the hole of a shoe polish mop and vice versa. So you can chose between a sponge nib or a felt nib for rougher surfaces or thinner lines

Yeah the triangle nib ones are actually supposed to be for sealing enveloped believe it or not. 😂 sort of a dumb invention if you ask me but they give some cool effects when writing. Usually those ones have mega soft nibs though like you say and they don't hold up well at all. the one I used in this video has a thicker foam at least. you van tell it's been designed for this kind of thing specifically but still not super tough of course

I just bought one of these and don't know what to fill it with. I have acrylic paint and some isopropyl alcohol but I don't know how permanent it would be, any tips?
@ScizGraffiti10 ай бұрын
For sponge nibs in particular since I wasn't the nib to last I usually put an ink off some sort just cause the nib takes far longer to dry out than with something like an acrylic paint. It's just for a bit of insurance in case I'm not using it all that often. I find the thinner formulae tend to give off the brush effect in a really pronounced way which I like too. But that is just a personal preference of mine
