Nice atempt to analize this, but honestly i feel it is uncomplete without considering the performance of Special and Scarlett.

Astrea seems to play dt drop a lot on waterfall. I think armani knew and gambled that he might rely on it again.
@ProbeSC22 жыл бұрын
It's definitely possible. Non Stargate builds are definitely a bit more popular there.

@@ProbeSC2 yeah and astrea has been doing this specific 2 gate dt drop for a long time and he only ever plays it on waterfall. First time I have seen him play 2 gate dt drop on waterfall was during hsc

Why hasn't Serral played? I know he said something along the lines of "he doesn't have anything to prove," but still...I feel like he does lol
@ProbeSC2 Жыл бұрын
It's a long format and I don't think he would want to move to Korea for the period required of him. And during that time it would impact his WCS and EU tournaments too. He would also be living in a house with 10 other people too. So I don't know, but those may be some more possible explanations.
@jasonjia123 Жыл бұрын
@@ProbeSC2 yeah and I don’t think he has any valid excuses for ducking the tourney. Obv it’s tiring and inconvenient and may even be slightly cost prohibitive but at the end of the day he could if he wanted to and him not wanting to means he’s never succeeded on the biggest stage

could you do a settings video where you show us how you set up the core?
@ProbeSC22 жыл бұрын
Not the highest quality video (thinking of redoing it), but I assume you have seen this? kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZerfXeAZpp3adU If I make a new one what would you like to see.

@@ProbeSC2Yeah i saw that one and it was great. i was just wondering if you could go a bit more in depth in your/the cores layout and show us how you set up the layering between camera locations, how you set up the grid and your hotkey settings. hope that makes sense. sorry if it doesn't. thanks.

The reason for why nonkoreans fail in GSL I believe is the same as it is in any other sports with audience and atmosphere having impact on the players. GSL vs the world is different because it's meant to be international. When people attend GSL it feels like they are arrogantly invading korean scene to beat them from within. Which is both motivating for the koreans to play like beasts and scary for the nonkoreans to ruin the culture and be rude having no business doing that. I don't think it's the attitude people want to have and proclaim to have. But it's there, subconsciously.

How was the game one hold the defining moment for Reynor if he lost every game after.
@ProbeSC22 жыл бұрын
The defining interaction was the tank push. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

Are players allowed to change race in between rounds or even the match?

Not for GSL. 1 race for the entire tournament. ( I believe)

Anyone who think they can easily compete in GSL and possibly go in deep on the first try deserves no respect

Wasn't both of their first seasons. But it's true, if I played in the GSL I'd win it in my first season.
@jacobsvensson81932 жыл бұрын
common dude, he's ranked #3 in the world after Maru and Serral, his competitors in his group however came in at #10, #20, #28. And if you listen to his interview with Harstem he said that even if it's probably fair to say that he's the favorite in the group, he didn't want to overlook anybody, mentioned how insanely good Bunny is and that a ZvZ with DRG is kinda 50/50 crapshoot whatever happens. So first of all, he didn't say anything bad about the players or the overall skill in GSL, he said it's one of the hardest tournaments ever in fact. But even if we ignore that, thinking that he would advance first in his group is just simple logic. He's the 3rd best player in the world and probably got a 70-75% win ratio against everyone in his group. Edit. just checked, he got a 81% win ratio vs Dream, 79% vs DRG and 67% vs Bunny. With those past results, going into the group expecting to lose would be the weirdest lack of confidence ever... I mean he just got to #1 on the Korean Ladder and went 3v3 against Dark with Protoss. He got plenty of reasons to trust in his skills. But some days you're just simply off, and playing in a completely new enviroment probably affected him more than he thought it would.
