Emotions are powerful messengers that teach you about yourself. They are to be paid attention to, analyzed, and used to help guide you through life. They shouldn't be just blindly acted upon, but they must be respected for what they are and the important role they play.

Slowing down in EVERYTHING will literally turn your life around. We humans have trouble with understanding the concept of time and timing.

“…Over reaction to trivial events, notice any sudden bursts of anger…..shut up bird!!…” 😂
@jessicat2304 Жыл бұрын
This is so true. I felt jealous earlier about something. I was going to leave the event. Instead, I felt it .. analyzed it.. let it go and then I enjoyed my night and had the best time. Better than any night out. I’m glad I didn’t hold on to the emotion, because I would’ve been too tense.

When someone tells you something about yourself you don’t have to bring it into yourself, (your mind, belief system, etc). You can create a front porch, where you can observe and decide if that’s something you want to bring inside yourself. So many things are coming full circle. 🤯 Disclaimer: I learned about “the front porch” watching The Crappy Childhood Fairy on YT. Subscribers write in on their situation and she gives advice on how to manage your relationships and navigate through life dealing with CPTSD, Disregulation, “Abandonment Malange,” etc.

I remember back when this channel was called “the toxic dating coach”. This channel has so many gems. I know it’s geared predominantly towards women, but as. a Man, this channel has some of the best gems that I’ve been a subscriber for years. I feel this channel will work for almost anyone, man, woman gay straight etc. because if most can get past the geared towards women part and to hear the universal truth of the gems for what they are. You get the value for it. Being non reactive helps with so many situations. And of course we all gotta remember being non reactive is different from being passive. Great video Father Alex.

Hey, I agree but to a certain extent. you should see your emotions as a sign to take care of yourself physically, mentally and spiritually. they are nothing but reminders to take care of yourself. not just leaving it alone
@MindfulAttraction2.0 Жыл бұрын
I emphasize in the video in the middle of the video that is not about ignoring your emotions, but seeing your emotions with an arm's life. Having some distance. Not letting your emotions completely blind. You from thinking straight. That's the difference
@sparklesparkleyabish3057 Жыл бұрын
Yes! He makes it clear to not ignore your emotions and even makes a joke about not being a psychopath. The point he kept driving home (at least this is what I understood) that keeping your emotions at an arms length gives you the opportunity to choose how act based on the situation instead of reacting based on how you feel (you can be easily manipulated this way) and you will come across more feminine.
@MindfulAttraction2.0 Жыл бұрын

Thats strong advice youre giving. "What feeds it is your lack of awareness"... that is exactly how I block a panic attack from growing. When it hapenned to me some times I focused on being aware and not denying it . I always feel and understand whats happening and that is how it stops. It is my secret to keep my emotions stable, always be aware of them. And listen to the feeling as soon as they come. Thank you dalexis for putting words onto mental peace

I feel like this is something you can’t teach and something others can’t learn from being taught… I just became like this somehow. I used to be easily triggered but went through a ten year marriage that ended traumatically and that made me naturally stoic. Im nothing like the person I was before and I’ll never be that person. But when I try to teach other women this behaviour they just don’t see it
@ladyfxllc Жыл бұрын
I am so in tune with that ominous sound!!! I definitely feel that trigger point coming on and thats the moment I take to decide exactly how to deal with the person. If its someone that constantly acts the way they do I mirror them in a stern and respectful way if I feel they are intellegent enough to figure out I am showing them how their behavior is uncalled for or unwanted. If its something or someone that is completely irrational and crazy I will ignore the person, idk if that makes sense. But it depends on the situation for me.

Well, we definitely need to analyze our emotions but in some cases you’re gonna have to show emotions and you’re gonna have to show feelings. Marilyn Monroe died of a drug overdose. She was incredibly depressed. Do you really think by her not showing emotions was helpful? Because it obviously was not, she was not in a healthy state of mind.

You can’t compare Rihanna to regular women! I need to express my emotions. I’m not a robot. Men like to see women who aren’t afraid of expressing themselves. Rihanna was very emotional during the Chris Brown situation. She’s not afraid to go off on anyone either. Plus she’s had media training as well. Not sure about this advice Alex.
