I'm glad I studied in the south namely Bangalore and Coimbatore. I did face some kinda racism but it was subtle amd harmless compared to the racism faced by my friends and relatives who studied in Delhi or other N.I states. People down south are more chilled and relaxed, mind their own business. Of course there were a couple of scuffles but c'mon we were young and drunk, filled with youth naivete.

Probably because Delhi is the metropolitan nearest to NE. It takes 18 hours via train to Delhi, to BLR it takes 54 hours. Mumbai even more. Though flight time just have a 1 hour difference, train route is still relevant
