During my time living in Turkey, I had the chance to meet Nigerians from various regions. I observed that those from the northern part of Nigeria stood out from the typical portrayals we often see on TV. They had a calm, friendly demeanor, were easygoing, and carried themselves with a deep sense of respect. Their outlook on life seemed strongly influenced by their cultural values.

This is what I call Nigerian excellence and a reflection of what black excellence should look like. Dangote and Rabiu might be Hausas and Adenuga Yoruba, but every Nigerian should be proud. The Hausa people also have a very rich culture, and a great business mindset. We can see this reflected, as far back as the former empires of Kano, Daura, Gobir, Zaria etc which had great trading systems. Lovely video 😊.

Nigeria as a country has great potential. It pains me that tribalism and ignorance is keeping the nation from taking it place in the world. I'm from SE part of Nigeria, I do wish everyone well, I belive that most citizens are good people but the criminal politicians use religion and tribalism to divide and rule, there by keeping the majority of the population in extreme poverty, especially in the northern part of the country.

@@angelicakweku5293 Niger Republic and Chad's populations combined don't come up to half the population of Northern Nigeria. The majority of the poor masses are native to Northern Nigeria. Even if we assumed that every youth in those countries ran to the "el Dorado" of Northern Nigeria that would not account for the fact that the masses in that portion of the country are amongst the poorest in the world. No doubt there is a miniscule ultra-rich class that is being celebrated and lauded but they are dwarfed by the sheer number of people living in "multi-dimensional" poverty. The region has even been dubbed the "poverty capital of the world". This isn't to say there isn't wealth there, they just have to figure out how to exploit their resources and distribute it in a more organised and equitable way.

@@fatfarmers7360 yes, how about that. What is your point? Your response suggests you are ok with the inequality of wealth distribution generated by southern and easternmost states benefiting states that don't produce it; have the most poor and uneducated people in the country and strong arm(most Nigerian military leaders have come from the North and are the ones that have staged most coups) southern and Eastern states to do their bidding. Do you know much of federal government money has been poured into the hands of many of them in Northern states, especially, Kano and Kaduna? How much of the Nigerian federal government money has been given to them free of charge over the years? If you gave the same kind of money to young Southern entrepreneurs, you'll have closer to 50% of the population becoming millionaires, billionaires, and trillionaires.

Kano is truly a hidden gem with so many remarkable achievements: Highest population in Nigeria and Africa (over 9 million). One of the richest cities and a major center of commerce in Africa. Has the 2nd largest movie industry in Africa (Kanywood). Home to some of the richest men in Africa, and the only city that produced 2 of the top ten richest men on the continent. A leading hub for textile production, with Kano's dye pits being one of the oldest and most vibrant in Africa. Host to Kurmi Market, one of the oldest and largest markets in West Africa, known for its vibrant trade in textiles, spices, leather goods, and crafts. A city of rich cultural heritage, boasting historical landmarks like the ancient city walls, the Gidan Makama Museum, and the Great Mosque of Kano. A leading center for Islamic scholarship in Africa, with many prominent Islamic scholars and institutions. Yet, despite these impressive credentials, Kano remains relatively unknown to the world-a paradox that continues to surprise me. Thanks to creators like you, hidden gems like Kano won't stay hidden forever!
