But Don doesn't need a thespian.. It needs a certain subtle flair. SRK has that. Ranveer doesn't. SRK is loud at times, but is witty. That works in favour of Don. Ranveer is very blunt. He can play a goon. Not Don.

When Shah Rukh Khan was having a bad time Farhan didn't want to work with him however when he rose back to stardom after "Pathaan ", Farhan wanted him for don 3 . I think that was the main reason for SRK stepping down from the Don series.

Rumour has it that Priyanka is the reason for casting Ranveer instead of SRK. In my opinion, SRK as Don brings more to the movie than PC as Roma. I d rather cut off Roma instead of cast somebody else as Don. At least reboot the franchise or make a prequel. Continuing the sequel with a different Don actor is not right
