The only way to use mix match subs is to go sealed

Unfortunately, I don't have the mulah to test out anything I always preach about but it seems that unless the subs are actually in the same enclosed space (so-called 'sealed') they can moreso than not do their own thing, each of them and although to have them be the same size, brand and model # along with age and so on would be ideal, I doubt that it makes an audible difference and/or a durability one. Probably if any problems have arisen, it was because the user tested the limits of the arrangement - No one buys a sports car and just parks it, lol. So, in my minute wisdom, different-size/wattage/brand subs in different boxes can be done with whatever one wants if complying with the amp's(s') Ohms requirement and lowest-RMS sub(s)' rating singly; Ported boxes can have any-sized/-wattaged/-branded subs in them by those same terms, but total performance may suffer if they are markedly different, hence the video title, I suppose; A cabinet with a chamber for each sub, whether ported or not, individually, could have any varying size/brand/model #/wattage/VC and so on and is what I'll have someday, even to test. This is all MY opinion and I won't argue with anyone else's, as I have no real-world, high-power bass experience - Only a nice taste - I had built a box years ago specifically for a specific speaker, probably a 12-incher. Wow...I've had others - One with 2 18s in it and one with 4 12s, driven, years apart, by a 250W RMS Orion, bridged. 🙂

Every guy wants to see 'Don't do what this guy did' as the title of his moment of fame. In a 'SEALED' box, maybe a problem...but only if not separated...🤗😏

Seems weak for 4, but why not mix n match?
@bryson19922 күн бұрын
Because all subs require different box specs to maximize there performance
@griffiiin3 күн бұрын
Extremely underwhelming, better off removing two of the subs and build a new enclosure. Not hating, we all start somewhere
