Why Notion Backlinks Are Great for Bible Notes

Notion recently released a new backlinks feature that is similar to the bi-directional linking you can find in Roam research and Obsidian.md, this is a great feature to help you take better digital bible notes.

Which download link gave you the bible by chapter in plain text? Theres a lot of options on that download page.

Hey Jonny. The version I actually used was from Abraham Peters video and isn't found there (it's this onedrive.live.com/?authkey=%21AGghB0ut%5FbnVYqw&id=79297E6D25D65225%21144071&cid=79297E6D25D65225). You can find the same version with a few minor differences by going to the WEB translation site, selecting the protestant canon version and the plain text zip file which is this link ebible.org/Scriptures/engwebp_readaloud.zip I''ll add that below the video but I wanted to show that you can use other plain text versions as well.

Thanks so much Stephen, I really appreciate the encouragement. The translation I used was the WEB (World English Bible) translation which is public domain, available as a plain text download and based on the American Standard Version. You could easily do this with the KJV which is also public domain but I wanted an excuse to give a new translation a go. You can find a couple of other downloadable plain text bibles here hackathon.bible/data/

It’s the WEB bible which is an adaption of the American Standard Bible and not under copyright (unlike something like the NIV or ESV). Hope that helps.

@@chrisjwilson That's okay. Would you make a video how to incorporate NIV or any other Bible version into Notion for personal use? I don't know if I can trust the Web Bible enough to study it. How about you? I would just like to get my foundations right if I'm going to use your template for a long time. Thank you.
