I started Monster Hunter World on PS4 since release date back in 2018. I stopped after the Lunastra Update with nearly 200h of playtime. In 2019 with the release of Iceborne, I gave it another try. Did the first two monster und never touched the game again. After a friend told me, what content I missed during the time, he said, it’s the beste time to start now before wild release. So I bought World and Iceborne for Xbox and started a new adventure, and daaaammn. It’s better than ever thought. I have so much fun, got over 100h of playtime in just one month and it didn’t stop. At the moment, I trie solo hunt Alatreon and I can’t get enough. Thank you for the video, so more people can enjoy this beautiful game. 😁

That’s about how I did it. I played the beta and about 300 hours on release, but when iceborne came out, I fought the first couple monsters and stopped. Just picked it back up a week ago and it’s been great. Having a great time right now.

World is my first monster hunter game, I just got it a couple months ago, and I’m absolutely loving it. I’m not super far, still only about halfway through the iceborne story, but I’m taking my time, finishing up every optional lol (I have like 150 hours so far). While I may not have time to get every achievement before wilds drops, I definitely won’t be able to buy it on launch lol, so I think I have time to finish world’s achievements before wilds goes on a good sale :)) Also I saw that AoT poster, looked amazing. And as a newcomer to mhw and the channel, I wanna thank you for all the tips I’ve gotten from the few videos I’ve seen so far

New watcher here, been playing MHGU with an old friend for months and really wanted to get the other half onto the series. Weirdly enough, with just over 100+ hours for MHGU/Rise I found World to be REALLY clunky as an insect glaive main back on release; but, after doing some keyboard binding, I'm slowly starting to see why this game is so popular and the best selling of the series thus far. No luck with Rise or MHGU but World - with your videos - have been like an easy-to-read encyclopedia for him, and we're now up to Tigrex/Brachidyos together and am so happy the series finally clicked.

First time watching this but been really enjoying the content recently. Picked World and Iceborne up for the 3rd time (on PC finally) and am playing through it again to get a new friend I to it for the series. I've been having a blast after all the hours of wirebugs and silkbinds, clutch claw and the new World felt alien for a minute but then we were right back in it. Also, I never played IG in World and might I say, it's crazy fun and fluid

Always heard about MH, never played it since i didnt have a Wii or Ds (only my friend did) so i pretty much completely forgot its existence, until one day i saw iceborne on sale on the ps4 shop, so i watched a quick longsword clip and instantly bought the game (very big decision for a 20 second beatdown), ive only played 100h now and ive been hooked to it as soon as i saw how open world the game was and how much i could explore. I “Mastered” Longsword on my main game playthrough but switched to Charge Blade for the DLC, its insane how versatile and masterful the weapons are. Im not even done with the game, but im gonna 100% it before MH Wilds, and buy it on release. Its a great showcase of the franchise, and as soon as i have my pc ill buy the older games to enjoy aswell. Thank you for the weapon guides they really helped me learn the charge blade 😂 Quick Question, should i go for GreatSword or Hammer as my next weapon?

I picked up monster hunter last months because of this video - i am delighted to admit its the best game I’ve ever played (tied with Witcher 3!) i just beat world and moved to master rank! Im hooked and im hyped for wilds now! What a treat! 😮👌

I am preparing for the Alatreon fight, I am only MR 64 so it will still take me a while to be ready for the damn thing, I have finally settled on using the IG with the Final Fantasy 14 bug, but without the health regen augment I don't feel confident taking on Alatreon. Sadly, for me, I always get put on noob lobbies with perhaps one or two MR hunters so getting Safi or Kulve weapons is a royal pain, right now I am unlocking everything the MR event have to offer, my next target is Resident Evil Vaal Hazak! Wish me luck!

I started last week and have been having a blast, I think the only issue I have been having is playing online (not having people join SOS calls, online lobbies are small so no one to play with, etc) but I just got to HR so I’m hoping that will help.

Yeah I would say a lot of the activity is going to be around MR let alone HR, so if you were in LR hoping for active multiplayer I can see why you were struggling

Tip To any new players you cant dodge through everything dont play titan fall 2 like a cod game dont play monster hunter like a souls game its about Positioning yourself so that you can get out when you need to

Anyway you can help me with Alatreon special assignment? I'm MR 190 with Kjarr Ice DB withg Full augmentation (Health Regen, 2x Elemental Up) but I'm having trouble finishing him even after breaking both horns and breaking his element twice... I always seem to die near the end. Let me know!

Personally, I believe new players shouldn’t touch Guardian gear. It makes fights too easy, and eliminates the farming and crafting side of MH, essentially making it a skip button for all of World, which I think lessens the experience of, essentially, a whole game, and doesn’t let new hunters learn a slew of invaluable lessons. Frankly I think it was a mistake for capcom to add the guardian armor at all, and especially to have it as your default set

I get where you're coming from, while also of course disagreeing with your stance on it all. I guarantee that the new players who strongly benefit from using it aren't smashing through the game, and are still likely struggling even with it on. This idea that one gains zero skills along their 20 hour + journey to Iceborne whilst using Guardian gear isn't really grounded in anything. The same thing was said about using Divine Blessing or Health Up skills years ago, just framed for the catch up gear now. Wearing it while learning the fundamentals of your weapon, the stages, and the monsters is hugely beneficial to new players, instead of having their learnings constantly interrupted by carting every 2 mins

@@LightItUpDan That’s fair, but no one needed that armor the first time they played through World, before Iceborne was released. The game is well paced to let you learn it as you go, starting with easy monsters and picking up gradually. While being tanky enough to not get effectively one shot is invaluable, being so tanky you’re not concerned with taking hits is too much, and I believe guardian gear leans on that side a little too much. Moreover, I’d argue the grind is part of the experience of Monster Hunter. It’s not hard to get good enough gear at every stage with a little farming, either. MH isn’t meant to be a straight line from beginning to end of story missions. I wouldn’t say they gain 0 skills, but they’d certainly be far more refined if they hadn’t used it. A few carts here and there build character, as they say, and I’ve met too many hunters who don’t know any of the facilities besides the quest board

That said, however, I acknowledge that the ideal world would have a base of players to support newcomers in a way similar - though crucially different, I think - to having guardian armor. You know, sos respondees, full high rank lobbies and the like. It’s hunting mentors that do the most work teaching new players, I think, and channels such as yours. Having the armor fast track the player to the DLC, where the majority of the active player base probably is, is practically useful
