Whenever you get to the guiding lands, try, If you can, to slot in your jewels ONE level of geologist, and when you collect materials that monsters drop in the GL , you can collect it twice, so if you see 4 shinies on the floor, you actually collect 8, makes grinding twice as fast :))

One thing about gathering in the Guiding lands is that you can leave a gathering point with one gather left and let it reset it won't advance the gathering point level, so you can stay at the red level permanently. This is because after getting the Giant gathering point the progress resets back to white.

i looked up how to unlock augments cause i was worried MR 100 was required and this is what i found and find everytime i search it up. (Complete the story. Reach HR29. Complete the Assigned Quest Beyond the Blasting Scales. Find a Warrior's Streamstone, rewarded (rarely) for defeating Threat Level 2 Tempered Monsters. Or, find a Hero's Streamstone, rewarded (rarely) for defeating Threat Level 3 Tempered Monsters.)

you are talking about the high rank augments, that arent the same of master rank, when iceborne didnt existed the max level high rank weapons could have 2 or 3 augments, but they dont work if you upgrade your weapon to master rank level

@@mr.legend2485 well, the video explains everything about the augments, you unlock them when you finish the history of iceborne, then in the guiding lands you collect the materials to fabricate the augments. the one you commented is for the high rank gear

So I'm fairly new to playing myself but have been watching people play mh for Years but I feel like every game I try I just can't get it and i don't do damage and I just get one to two shot do you have any tips for new people getting discouraged.

First and foremost it's about having fun! After that, it's about being comfortable with the weapon you're using so that you're able to keep a good uptime with it. A mistake I often see new players doing is spending a lot of time running around, doing not too much of anything during a hunt. Attack! Hit it! So what if you cart? my friend, you realy need to do a video for best armors in early iceborne like you did with weapons becouse i did not finish iceborne and am still on the viper tobikadachi fight. of course that wont take long to complete but cen you make a video on some armors that have good defense. starting off from early iceborne- endgame iceborne- alatreon level. (just an idea)

So, I remember hearing that health augments aren't a good choice for bows and how guns, since the health steal is only counted from 1 of the projectiles in a shot... Has this changed? Sorry to ask, but I'm coming back to Ice borne after a 3 year absence, and am closing in on end game using only bows

I go over this in the video! There's still an inherent 0.2s cooldown so multi-striking weapons will only get lifesteal on one "hit", affecting bows, spread bowguns etc.

hey Dan, could you do a short or quick vid about exactly which fatalis weapons are worth using the crit augment on? there must be a specific breakpoint at which (crit eye / agitator / atk + 4 / wex) is enough, and say, Fatalis hammer isn't worth upgrading for crit. this is because the 4 crit skills, when wex is applied, already do ~110% crit. if so, the Fatalis Demolisher with -20% crit, will crit 90% of the time. is forcing crit rate to 100% really worth it? would your opinion change based on the RAW of the weapon? Edit - I just realized that gunlances have limited benefit from affinity aug because half the damage comes from shells, which are only affected by artillery

I’d say it’s always worth, as even with WEx, you’re not always hitting the weakpoint and it’s not always tenderised, monsters not always enraged etc. it’s a lot of bang for your buck to get a flat 10% affinity permanently added

The whole endgame grind is too much… I love this game, just turned MR 75 and will go for Rajang and The Brachi variant next,but when I think about this grind it‘s too much and disheartening… I don’t want to have just 1-3 maxed out builds because they already took all my energy out of me… this is not a MMORPG, why do we need to be SO „stalled“….

There’s no rush to do all the content, you can decide to put the game down after beating the campaign if you want, it’s all just extra stuff to enjoy at your own pace
