Driving is extremely safe ! Given the number of cars on the roads, and kms travelled daily. Despite the shocking state of many roads, our tax on a tax for fuel definitely isn't being spent on maintenance.

No, it’s because Australians have become so accustomed to over regulation that it’s almost cultural. The majority of Australians have a “she’ll be right” attitude to whatever laws are passed.

In actuality, NSW is a horrible state to live in. It's always been the most over governed over regulated state in Australia. A law for every tiny little thing. A person is constantly watched by cameras everywhere, constantly monitored and recorded on phones and online. 'They' can track all your movement through your mobile phone. Politicians interfering in our daily lives constantly trying to micro manage everything in what we can and can't do......Think about it. I would not live here if I could afford to move.

Bit like renewing a license in NSW. One you turn 75 you must have a medical report from your doctor to hold a license then when you turn 80 you must also undergo a stringent eye test. Well so go but no those tests cost $95 each year to have.

At 85 you need to take an actual driving test again. My mum is up to her 3rd one. It’s every two years

Im wondering what ot will be like when piont to piont cameras come fully into use . Will we have to take breaks and keep a log book ?? It wouldnt surprise me. No public servant is ever going to tell me how to drive safely .
