This video is about Giannis Antetokounmpo and why Old School accept him.
Reason number one is Giannis Playing style.
In todays NBA where literaly everybody is just jacking up 3s, Giannis plays a lot like an old school player which means he is taking the ball to the hole.
He is not waiting at the 3 point line until he gets open for a shot, but he enjoying the contact and forces his way to the basket.
The good thing is that not only getting his opponents in foul trouble, but also his shooting percentage is always above 50 percent.
so this is a very efficient way how to help his team and as a old school fan you get a lot of dunk and a lot of in the paint bullying.
That what we like to see. Now just to be clear in the last 2 years giannis is taking more 3 pointers which is a result of guys literally leaving him open to shoot.
but it is still a acceptable number. I think no old school fan minds giannas taking between 3 and 4 3 pointers per game. It is just the ballance that we care about.
The next reason why old school fans like Giannis is his old school mentality.
Now in todays nba where everybody is in love with everybody we hardly see players that have that killer mentality and an old school approach.
But this is where Giannis is different. The first time I really saw his way of thinking was when he was asked if he would like to work out with Lebron James in
the summer.
This is something that always reminds me of the time jordan invited nba all stars to work out with him during the shoot of space jam.
And what was the result, everybody helped jordan to get back in shape. big mistake. and giannis is all lot smarter in this situation. something that old school players also love. lets have a look.
loyalty to his franchise
back in the days we were used to nba superstars staying with their franchise for many years. For example reggie miller pacers, stockton and malone jazz, jordan bulls, ewing knicks, olajuwon rockets. i mean you get the idea. this is something that has changed dramatically. players bounce around the league like crazy, and nobody feels the obligation to win a championship for their franchise.and even worse, everybody wants to be on a super teams in roder to win a championship the easy way. and again this is where giannis is totally different.
Intensitiy on the court.
Another thing that is very much enjoyalbe about giannis is that he is very intense on the court. you can really see that this guy wants to win. this includes bullying his opponent, trash talking and all the good stuff. this is something that was very common back in the days, and unfortunetaly very rar in todays game.
All around game.
I was always a fan of players that had a great all around game. which means you got many offensive weapons, but you are also a great defender.
and giannis is the complete package. Not only is he a great scorer, but also a guy that avg above 5 assits per game, more than 10 boards, and he is somebody that can give you a lot of trouble on the defensive end. He would be a guy who would have fitted perfectly in the nba of the 1990s.

Him sticking with his franchise and believing in management talks volumes about his loyalty, then you add the fact he plays extremely hard on both ends of the court and top it all with him being a very humble, respectful and honestly sweetheart of a guy and it's extremely difficult to dislike him. He reminds me so much of Hakeem it's crazy!

1) Rarely flops or looks for flops. 2) Doesn't whine non-stop. 3) Work-ethic 4) Two-way player There are a good number of players in the NBA with these attributes (And an extreme amount in FIBA) but very few are top-caliber players. I am a fan of any generation of basketball, and it's safe to say players like Giannis will keep popping up and keep my love for basketball going. It's hard not to love the sport.

you got bro. these new gen basket ball fans who looked basket ball nowadays doesn't know hard work and perseverance that player back in jordan era had, as they achieve their legendary status. i liked giannis work ethic and play style because he show us the true meaning if basket ball. and that is not about having super team or go to another strong contender. team to have better chances to win ring. or have to shoot threes all night. gianiss team use the 90's style if games. a balance defense and offense that help them achieve rings.some will say they won because sime key player are injured. so what? its not giannis fault they got injured. ang gianiss walk his way to championship with his blood, sweet and hunger to win his first championship.

It’s why many old schools fans dislike lebron. I’m one of them. If he stayed with cavs whole way. He would had that respect. I’m GSW fan cuz of my hometown. The 2016 Finals aren't as much of a "miracle" as the Lebron and Klutch sports owned media present them... So keep your mouth shut about Giannis... he didn't go like a bitch to DWade, crying "pleaaaaase... get me a ring man... please... call Bosh... we need him too... boo hoo hooo" Bron's success has always been 50% his talent and 50% his bitchy ring chasing and superteams... He just tweaked his back in Game 6 and he was healthy enough to finish the game AND play 38 minutes in game 7, you're overexaggerating the injury buddy. Also that's definitely not half of their main players lmao, Iggy was relatively healthy, and Klay, Draymond, Barnes, and Livingston were all fully healthy fact no.2... No, Bron didn't win alone. Basketball is a team sport after all. Yes he was by far the best player on both ends of the court, but Kyrie was amazing in that series, averaged 31 ppg in games 3-7... but where the fuck are you getting that Kyrie dropped 57 in a game??? 41 was his highest scoring game that series in game 5. And also, what fucking argument does Kyrie have for finals MVP over Bron? Bron led BOTH teams in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks (only time that's EVER happened in the finals) and made the greatest playoff defensive play in NBA history to set up one of the greatest clutch shots in NBA history... Kyrie's whole argument is predicated around that one fucking shot, and that's absolute bullshit when looking at all that Bron did that series fact no.3... The Cavs were NOT A SUPERTEAM. Bron and Kyrie were a super duo, Kevin Love was NONEXISTENT in the finals, he averaged 8 ppg on 36% shooting, and ever since he left Minnesota he's just been injury prone and unreliable in the playoffs. He's pretty steady in the regular season when he's not hurt but a superteam to me is 2 clear top 10 players in the league along with a 3rd option who's top 20 in the league, and Love at no point during his Cleveland tenure has been considered that fact no.4... I half agree with you here. Yes I don't think Silver should've suspended Draymond for this incident, I think the suspension should've happened earlier in the playoffs after he booted Steven Adams' nuts up to his stomach. But how are you considering this a cheap shot for Bron? He just walked over him a bit, and Draymond was dumb enough to retaliate knowing that he could've been punished for it and hurt his team in the process. I agree that the suspension was bullshit but Draymond should know better in that situation that he's just gonna hurt his team if he tries anything fact no.5... I know you didn't have 5 facts in your soliloquy, but you should hear this. EVERY CHAMPIONSHIP IN NBA HISTORY WAS WON WITH A LITTLE BIT OF LUCK. You and I can't name a single championship team that didn't receive a stroke of luck in winning a ring. Look at the most recent champions: 2021 Bucks? They lose in the 2nd round if Brooklyn's healthy. 2020 Lakers? Got 3 injury breaks in the finals. 2019 Raptors? If KD plays, Warriors win. 2018 Warriors? If CP3 plays in game 7 of the conference finals, Rockets could've beat them. It happens all the time pal And finally, fact no.6... Lebron's success is 30% talent and 70% hard fucking work. He's notorious for spending million on his body and working out like a madman to keep himself in prime physical condition. Over his career, he's developed a reliable 3 ball, reliable post game, reliable midrange, and one of the 5 greatest clutch players of all time, and some people, including you, just can't seem to handle that. Or you're just sick of him being so good for so long, that's understandable too lol

Giannis FORMED A TEAM AROUND HIM... he didn't beg other superstars to come play with him and save his legacy with easy rings... don't bring up Lebron in this... he doesn't deserve to be in this conversation... all he does is recruit superstars and form superteams for a decade now... and ONLY has 4 rings... and I say only cause having prime Wade and Bosh, then Kyrie and Love, then prime AD and now Westbrook too and an ARMY of good roleplayers and only winning 4 while you say you're the GOAT is a joke... and a bad joke at that... It’s not talked about much but consider you’re on one of those superteams, just a role player but a good one.. Do you think you would play better or worse, do you think you would be as committed, do you think you would be as effective a teammate if you were playing with guys on one and done or early out contracts who will bail the moment adversity strikes them? Knowing your rock is there and ain’t speaking in gibberish anytime the question of the off-season comes up would make it so much easier to gel and and buy in to scheme Bucks winning thru giannis’s loyalty and dedication is a win for all small market teams in all sports.

We don't move around from city to city chasing championships. We all want our local teams to win it all. Hard for that to happen playing musical chairs with players and their contracts. No wonder it's the super teams winning all the games. So when a guy like him in a city like Milwaukee stays loyal to the city we fans love that. @@andrzejzborowski4920 I'm from Houston lol. I'm glad he got one, I've been a fan since I saw him grab a rebound under the rim, and take off for a dunk on the other end with no one within 10' in high school.

I am glad to see my man Sean paying the respect that Giannis deserves. The dude is on another level.

Great video content. Giannis is the most complete player in the game today, offense and defense. He would be able to play in just about any Era in NBA history. I love this kid for what he has done for basketball period.

Giannis: The new FACE of the NBA….even though he said he doesn’t want it. That just makes the title all the more his and his alone. Congratulations my dude.

What he said about the super team was a slap to LeBron's legacy 😂 Giannis is the real deal.

“But that’s my stubborn side. It’s easy to go somewhere and go win a championship with somebody else. It’s easy! I could go to a super team and just do my part and win a championship. But this is the hard way to do it and this is the way to do it and we did it, fucking did it. We did it, man.”
