Totally agree. Great video mate! Sometimes people don't realize the importance of open source software and how it contributes to the economy, to freedom and transparency. I'm an engineer working on open source myself because I want to support the cause

I know this is a bit tabu in the OSS community, but I strongly believe that we have all the tools to pay OSS projects the $$ they deserve and need. Imagine every time someone downloads or installs a OSS package the project receives a few cents, for some core projects it would mean millions of dollars. The central piece is the package tool like apt, or Pacman, npm , etc. With pay, more “volunteers” would show up to maintain OSS projects.
