I grow Autos in fabric pots organically outside in rural central Ohio. With my setup, 10 hours of direct sunlight per day. I only use rainwater and use organic compost. To reduce the risk of bud rot, I wheel them under my patio at night so they are not exposed to dew. I train with tie downs. Best harvest ever this year. My favorites are AK47, White Widow, and Acapulco Gold ( very mold resistant strains from Fastbuds). The weed is so much better than dispensary weed. I know it is as pure as possible. I think the real argument is homegrow>dispo. Both organic and synthetic grows are better than dispo because growers meticulously grow the plant and harvest at peek ripening instead of doing the corporate rush job

Everything at our dispo's in Illinois is lacking any trichomes on the outside. I swear they are tumbling/screening these buds to get the trichs off to use for other products and make more money. Not to mention the claims of 25-30% thc but never has any flavor.

My own grow has been great, but my local grow store sells souvenir jars of flower grown by many of the employees and others. Great opportunity to collect lots of strain varieties. Never had anything from a dispensary and probably never will.

The issues are a lot worse than we can imagine. They don't allow CellPhones in a lot of these facilities so people cannot get photos of what's actually going on. You hear about people using poisons and icides that you shouldn't be using on medical flowers. One guy posted his boss used some banned chemical on the plants for some pest issues, didn't dilute it, and half of the plants were starting to be destroyed physically in the leaves, but they shouldn't even be consumed. It's disgusting to see what goes on, you cannot even trust it, let alone all this talk about "PGRs"(Plant Growth Regulators) that are like roids for the bugs to grow. Sure, we have these Hormones naturally, Auxins, Gibberlins, etc, but these are Synthetic and concentrated nonsense, and you can see the physical changes in the flowers. Look up "PGR vs normal," and you can see pictures on the net of it..

I started out growing organically with fox farm and down to earth dry ammendment. Flower was good but I had a hard time with over and under feeding. I have since switched to gh bottle nutrients and growace aircubes and the yield is double and honestly these are the most beautiful plants I've ever grown. Barely any leaf burn and the flower tastes amazing. I still think organic flower beats synthetic..there is a slight difference in flavor on the exhale maybe. My organic super lemon haze was way better than my synthetic SLH

I went from GH to Gaia green. Life changing all you got to do is p h and water and if you put too much food in the medium it doesn't matter it's not going to burn the plant it's slow release. Also if the plant doesn't want it it's not going to get it if it's fed liquid nutrients you're forcing the food into the roots which you're forcing the plant to eat you should not force the plants to eat you should put the food in the medium and have it available for when the plant wants it

And when i feed my girls i use all natural stuff like Spent Coffee Grounds: Nitrogen, Peeled Cucumber Skins In Water For 5 Days: Packed With Phosphorus and Potassium, Baked Egg Shells: Calcium, BlackStrap Molasses: Magnesium and Iron, Epsom Salt: Magnesium and Sulfer... I learned everything i know from you, it definitely works i wouldn't do it any other way... It taste soooo good! So thanks my guy! 😄

Hi! It's KNF or Korean natural farming! You can also use algae crustaceans shells crushed fishbones and fishes non eatables parts I make fermented plants juices nettle for N comfrey for P dandelion for K and horsetail for Calcium (if you use R/O water or rain water)...and I believe that coffee grounds isn't advised during flowering time if I remember correctly...fresh orange juice from 1 orange 2 or 3 times during the grow is ok to add vitamins! I would just add 1 thing to your soil...wormcasting and if you are in USA I would buy some COWOCO one because the KZbin channel BUILDASOIL analysed few wormcasting and this one is way superior then any of the concurrency ones...it's more than 50 times better and there's real life in those packs...I don't have access to all the choices you have in USA especially with real natural ingredients for the soil...and wormcasting is a key ingredient who will help the microbiological life in your soil who will make more food available from your natural amendments!

I did not add them on purpose at first but after seeing the results of accidently adding live worm eggs I did. My first try at organic. Grew Punky Lion in Pro Mix-XP amended with Dr. Earth homegrown and worm castings. Switched to Dr. Earth flower girl during flower. Kept it simple except for adding silica to every other watering. Harvest came out like fire. Super dank, smooth, and very potent. My previous runs were synthetic. Organic is the way to go.

Strawberry Cough is in the bowl today. 70/30 organic to synthetic. My compost tea is all leaves defoliatated , any male plant plants and my coffee grinds in a garbage pale full of water. (Good thing my grow is on my roof. Compost tea smells worse than any swamp) but my plants respond very well to it.

Northern ny, homegrown watermelon martini. The last time I used the dispensary it was just to try slurricane before I bought seeds. First 50$ for an 1/8 Oz. Crazy price, second perfectly trimmed, yet the smell was average at best, no great taste and nothing I could use as a comparison. Was garbage bro. U don’t know how long it was bagged, vacuum sealed, what additives was used, the list goes on. Everyone I give my organic, unprofessionally trimmed homegrown pot says the smell, taste and potency is spot on. There’s no comparison. It’s quantity over quality. Peace 420

Organics has the potential to be the best flower. There are so many intricate factors that affect looks, aroma, flavor and effects. I plant my girls directly into the ground with some amended soil to start them off. Terroir is a very real thing. Terpenes are built from complex sulfur chains. Compost is full of these. The more varied sulfur chains you add, the wider the terpene profile will be.

I came from 25 years of manufacturing machine parts. I have seen corners being cut and what happens trying to make a profit. Gardening is new to me but I knew dispo would be sus. I went full organic and researched the best suppliers. BAS has great and safe products. I use their whole product line and follow their schedule. Everything comes out dank and better than dispo.

BuildASoil has great products, but don't get too caught up in marketing of their products. I went crazy trying to get all the best products for my first grow to make it "Perfect," but I realized after that I really didn't need a lot of the amendments, as I make my own fertilizers. Many of the Amendments are just to help people do "water only." It's a bit confusing and I think it just makes new people buy more, even though they always say "You can buy from others!" you know people are just buying from them if they cannot get it locally. As for cutting corners... Dispos are owned by mega-corps that have hundreds of millions, if not billions of dollars.

I'm totally on board with homegrown > dispo, for many reasons, including the fact that lower yielding cultivars that make great flower won't get grow/shelf space in commercial operations. I'm still struggling to understand why organic makes better flower by definition. The nutrient ions the plants take up are the same in both systems.

I work at a commercial facility in mich !!! We crop steer like most people do !!!! The market is only based on yeild and thc% thats it !!! Their is just a little portion of the market that grows for taste and smell but thats a small amount !!!! Most the flower on our shelfs have no taste and the smoke smells like old flower !!!

I don't smoke my fan leaves...😉 Chlorophyll cannot leave a chloroplast so it cannot leave the fan leaves and won't accumulate somewhere else, like the buds. Perhaps metabolites of chlorophyll could, but I didn't look into that. I appreciate the water content of the fan leaves during extended Kalvin cycles during the dark period. I left my first two runs in dark, in the pot for 7 days. Then hang for 10. Seems to work for a random nugget seed.

Can you explain why you believe organic is higher quality than using standard nutrients? Last I checked, a nitrogen was a nitrogen whether it comes from General Hydroponics or bat poop. Maybe make a video explaining how the plant system responds differently to organics. Looking forward to more of your videos. I have been growing since 1982, but still learn new things all the time.

I've had great organic. I've had organic that tastes like the shit of the dead. I've had synthetic that tastes like honeydew from Edan and I've had synthetic that tasted like a mouthful of dookie. I do hydro for a very good reason, but I wont go into that, other than I'd put my bud up against anybodys. In fact my banana kush scored made honorable mention in a local cannabis cup. Several people said mine should have been the winner, but whatever. Point is. Comparing synthetic to organic is like oil to watercolor. It's the guy holding the brush.... not the paint.

My harvested banana purple punch made me feel like it was first time i smokd real tree in years. Med dispensary tree in Pennsylvania is completely trash. I lived in bay area 20 years ago and their med flower then was light years ahead of the shit i get here now and only topped out at 15%.. and that was like unheard of space weed back then. Now i get 20 to 30+% and its all the same feeling and nothing really stands out. Only a few strains stick out.
