I'm going to Osaka in June. I'm a little concerned as I am allergic to seafood. Will I still find plenty of good food to eat?

That will be so fun! There is definitely great food that isn't seafood here. Lots of steak, pork katsu curry, ramen, udon, soba and more. If you're with other people that really want sushi, we like Sushiro, and they have a lot of sushi that has steak, ham, egg, etc. instead of seafood. One of my favorite spots is Gyukatsu Motomura they have breaded waygu that is absolutely delicious, for a very good price. I'd definitely be diligent about letting the waiters know about the allergy everywhere you go though, I feel like they may use oyster sauce and dashi in more dishes than we realize. @@letsmadventure thanks for the reply. I did challenge tests for it. We are not 100% sure for every type of seafood, so I tend to just avoid. We know for sure squid (what I had anaphylaxis from) and octopus but not 100% on anything else in the Mollusk family, but I have never had a problem with oyster sauce, we use it in cooking at home. Also fish I showed a reaction to raw fish, but cooked I'm fine, so it needs to be cooked well. Sushi is out. Shellfish I had no reaction in the tests, but I prefer to just avoid as It just makes me stress out and not enjoy the food anyway.
