I've heard people say that before, and yet I own several Batman comics where it's explicitly shown he sleeps through most of the day in order to recover. Although he does often go long periods of time without sleeping there's always a limit. Perhaps he only does the micro-sleep thing when he's working on a time sensitive case, as there's absolutely no way a human would be able to function on that high a level with that little sleep for an extended period of time. That's when it starts to get into "Batgod" territory and things become less interesting for me.

More specifically, it is the level one operates at. Green latern corps aren't law enforcement on day to day lives, they let the planets grow and suffer on their own. They interfere only when threats are at planetary destruction level. Batman operates on the day to day basis with all of the headaches and plays that come with it.

My favorite part about Batman’s origin is that when he was young he was afraid of Bats, so he took his fear and made it every criminals fear. @@STARZZgenshin Not really. Barring that these are things anyway, Batmans main villains will usually get smeared going against actual superhumans in a straight "toe to toe" fight. Hell, they'd usually get dunked on by Batman physically without him even putting in real effort. The reason they're a threat is they're smart enough to not end up in a toe to toe fight in the first place. They're either working indirectly and locating them is an issue, they've obtained something that locks down anyone that would stop them, or the classic "Sure you can take me out, but that won't stop the (insert catastrophe causing thing here) from killing millions, better play along!!" Villains like Clayface or Killer Croc are an exception here, but those aren't known for their brains. Bane has both but only so much. He's smart but not near in the same class as villains like the Riddler or Joker, and his bulk would only carry him through low level superhumans. He consistently gets tossed around by the likes of Wonder Woman for example.

​@@lorikvlog This scene is from "Justice League: Throne of Atlantis" which is part of a series called "New 52" It begins with "The Flash: Flashpoint Paradox" as some sort of loose start but totally necessary, but it properly begins with "Justice League: War" that features more awesome moments, like this one. Bear in mind, it's like a dozen or more of movies, all of them more or less interconnected, concluding on a film that made every fiber of my body to tremble: "Justice League Dark: Apokolipse War"

I love it when they show why different heroes aren't what a particular city needs. I also like it when after a learning curve a different hero can supply a fresh perspective to helping a city. Wish they did more lf this kinda thing.

Made me remember that episode from the classic JL the animated series where Flash filled in for Batman in Gotham but he can't get information from the bad guys. So he did what he thinks Batman would do and made the goons fall from the building because he was out of ideas how to gain info from them his way.

​@@justaguy_yt1240my favorite part of that is that later on Batman takes Orion, a superhuman deity/alien to central city so that he can see how flash does his work. Orion's initially disappointed and insults flash for being so soft on his villains, even while his city is preparing an entire celebration day for him, he's probably more venerated than even Superman at that point by the one city even without killing. Then Batman vaguely explains the why and how it all works together, and while he does have issues with flash on bigger missions, I suspect deep down he sees his work in central city as the ideal way he wants Gotham to be. Flash saves the day to day people all the time, at any given moment, but he also doesn't impugn upon their freedom. Bats isn't fast or strong enough to police the city like Superman or flash, and Superman is too powerful to not impose his will upon the masses even though he tries to avoid it.

​@@PyRo2CyNiCexactly, since Batman doesn't have superhuman powers, he can only be in one place at a time. So if he wants to actually make dents in the crime in Gotham, he has to get the head of the snake. Cause if he just keeps stopping small fries, they're gonna easily outnumber him. Batman has to deal in information and break down chains of command, since he can't just fly over to across the city, sprint over in a matter of seconds. His time is incredibly valuable, so he has to budget it.

Any amount of fear they felt would be amplified by Parallax's influence. It would also be a good reason for Sinestro to collect the rings from the GLs he kills: To harness Parallax's form bit by bit until he could shove him into the Central Battery on Qward.

Yeah cuz like Darkseid is one big villain and the mastermind behind it all, so that's a good threat for people like Hal to fight, but scarecrow has a network of fuckers tryna peddle his mega drugs that's a whole different ball game, and while scarecrow isn't as physically threatening as Darkseid I'd say he does arguably way more damage than Darkseid ever has.
