I was getting furious waiting for some mention of Mars’ connection to child slavery in west Africa. The mascot rebrand is obviously meant to distract from this.

No proof; for all we know, it could’ve just been an unfortunate coincidence that people finding out about it soon after the rebrand

i didnt give a shit about them before, seeing as they're soulless corporate mascots for a company that constantly and deliberately does evil shit all the time, and i still dont care. the changes still offend me on the grounds of it being obvious corporate pandering, but thats about it.

Fun fact- Tucker Carlson only drinks with food mascots. Not by choice, no real people want to be in his company.

I wasn't fond of the personifications anyway... but the change seems pointless to me. If they truly felt the change was worthy, they would do it without making an announcement.

It's that Tucker is massively overreacting to something that is minorly cringe at best, and makes it clear that he whacks off to some weird shit. Like, I don't care what you do in your spare time, but don't air it on national television dude.

I mean, this has to be a new career low for Carlson, right? This “professional” “journalist” just wasted 10 minutes on public tv whining about cartoon candy characters not being cool enough. It’s that’s not a pathetic level of commitment to a very specific agenda, idk what is.
@NeilCrouse992 жыл бұрын
I can absolutely see the eye-rolling aspect of something seemingly ridiculous as changing the sexiness of a candy. From a psychological point of view, However, if you're trying to change the zeitgeist of a social norm, it will take small, sometimes seemingly ridiculous incremental changes for things to change in the long term.
